The ALTA platforms are manufactured in aluminium modules of 2 m and3 m, with fixed stirrups, allowing systems to be built up according to therequirements of the building. The loading capacity of the floor panel is120 kg per running meter (ALTA "L") and 140 kg per running meter (ALTA "S").The ALTA platforms are fitted with powered TIRAK hoists (X-300, X-500,X-700 and T-1000 series).Over low heights of lift, the manual SCAFOR and TIRFOR machines areideal alternative economic solutions.

For most applications, our DELTA suspension systemmay be used. The DELTA system is particularlyinteresting because it is mobile, adaptable and easy toerect and dismantle.

Should the parapet be suitable and strong enough, theSECALT parapet clamps (fixed or mobile) may be used.

Other solutions to suit the particular buildingrequirements may be considered.

The DELTA suspension system is counter-balanced giving very good stability.The number of counterweights required is calculated using the following formula:

The standard models of ALTA platforms are fitted with powered TIRAK hoists,which are available with 3 phase or single phase (for lower capacities)electric motors or with pneumatic or hydraulic motors.The standard speed of operation is 9 m/min.; 18 m/min. and two-speedversions are available as an option.The TIRAK hoists are controlled either through an individual pendant controlbox or through a central control box.The capacity for personnel lifting is up to 800/1000 kg, depending on localregulations. For higher capacities, TIRFOR machines, manual or powered,may be used.Fitted with manual SCAFOR hoists, the ALTA platforms offer a particularlyeconomic solution for low-rise applications.The wire rope is not stored on our hoists which gives a practically unlimitedheight of lift. Heights over 100 m are not a problem.Manufactured in accordance with current safety regulations for man-riding, theALTA platforms are fitted with automatic BLOCSTOP safety devices, fitted toseparate safety wire ropes.

This technique has a unique advantage. It eliminatesthe need for welding which, in the long term, canbe a potential source of faults in the metal, such asageing and the development of hair-line cracks.At the same time as the metal is not subjected toheat during welding, the metalurgical and metalliccharacteristics of high strength aluminium areunchanged.

The TANGOR platform comprises 2 m and 3 mmodules, bolted together. Standard end stiruupsor "C" stirrups may be connected to facilitate theuse of powered TIRAK hoists or manual TIRFORor SCAFOR hoists.The floor panel comprises a series of profileswhich may be replaced in the event of accidentaldamage or intensive wear.

The SOLSIT one-man seat is extremelycompact and can pass through aman-hole of 45x54 cm.It can then be used inside very narrowfurnaces, wells and chimneys.2 containers are fitted for carryingtools and cleaning materials.

Fast installation and set upThe cradle or work seat can be veryquickly installed and set up foroperation. The two wire ropes arehooked onto the suspension point andthe electric supply cable plugged in –depending on the model of TIRAKhoist – to a 220 V single phase or220/380 V 3 phase supply.An extra power point for a drill orinspection lamp avoids the need foradditional power supply cable.

The TIRAK hoist is available in 220 V,0.45 kW, single phase or 220/380 V,0.45 kW, three phase supply. Thelifting speed is 8.5 m/min giving fastaccess to the working position, whichbecomes more important as the heightof the building increases. The liftingheight is limited only by the length ofthe wire rope since it passes throughthe TIRAK hoist without a drum reeler.Should there be a power failure, theoperation of the centrifugal brakeallows controlled lowering, to avoidany long delay in rescue.Built-in safety devices:– secondary safety wire rope– overload safety device– controlled lowering by centrifugal
