Objectives One of ALRiM’s objective, as a Professional Association is to support the Luxembourg Fintech environment by developing the Risk Management skills & awareness related to the Blockchain technologies…

•  Making a distinction between the Blockchain Technologies (Distributed Ledger, Smartcontacts, …) and the Cryptocurrencies as Digital Assets (Bitcoin, Ethereum, …) … and understanding the links between the two.

•  Understanding the different types of Blockchain and their characteristics (Public/Private, permissioning systems, type of consensus, …).

•  Understanding how the Blockchain technologies can impact the different value chains (Operations, Distribution) and support functions within the Luxembourg Finance Industry.

•  Ideally, by having insights on real life user cases, courtesy of Luxembourg Fintech pioneers experiences.

… and to help Risk Professionals prepare for the upcoming changes by understanding the concepts behind the buzzwords and hype.
