The Great Crossing Paths Les Chemins du Soleil is a marked route, secure and certified by the French Cycling Federation FFC. Invitation to travel, it allows you to discover exceptional landscapes, from the Alps to the Mediterranean. We invite you to discover the final part of the route, Digne-les-Bains in Nice. This circuit in its classic version is quite demanding both physically and technically but some variants are possible. Spend Haute Provence to the Riviera: a real treat in terms of scenery and mountain bike trails, but also food, influenced by the Mountain, nearby Provence and the Mediterranean. The final in Nice, the blue city is simply magical!

Mountain bike great Crossing with Vélorizons

Les Chemins du Soleil down to the Mediterranean (Sisteron – Fréjus) - 223 km, + 5450 m difference in height (3 to 4 days)

The Renowned route "The Chemins du Soleil" initially goes through the Vercors, and then extends further south between Die and Sisteron. We wanted to offer a final crossing between Sisteron and Frejus to complete this beauty course. The part you selected will take the High Alps to the Mediterranean. Since the Val de Durance, you escape towards the Verdon Regional Natural Park to slide down on the beautiful Lake of Sainte Croix, end point of the famous Gorges du Verdon. It is then the full South that you will attack through its picturesque villages and pine forests to join The Mediterranean between olive groves and vineyards through the Var region. You start from the Col de Larche (1 991m), the gateway to the Mercantour National Park in the French-Italian border through the country of Seyne the Alps and the largest geological reserve in Europe and you complete the

journey in Forcalquier. You will discover at every stage varied atmospheres between mountain passes, mountain lakes and preserved valleys; on technical and fun trail ... You will play in the fabulous "Black Earth" true natural Bike Park later it will be the most limestone trails on the slopes of the Montagne de Lure. This crossing will be an opportunity to discover the villages, hamlets, which will surprise you by their characters and their typical architectures.
