W H AT I O F F E RALLYSON KIRKLAND

A leader with a demonstrated track record in driving new product development, strategic planning, marketing, and commercialization of Cloud-based services. I have an eye for opportunity, adept at

leveraging untapped skills across teams while never shying away from tough decisions.

Self styled software geek, I'm constantly trying to manage my cattle with RFID GPS solutions, however unsuccessfully. But practice makes perfect (fingers crossed).

gained to ensure its availability for use by others so no useful

information is lost.

Lifelong Learning

I believe in the pursuit of knowledge for personal and

professional reasons to enhance my social interactions and personal

development.

LEARNING SOMETHING NEW – JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT

Lifelong Learning

I believe learning should be more than just a practical application of skills – keeping the mind agile means doing something new on a regular basis so the mind stays pliable.

Last Sunday I took a Pysanka (Ukrainian Egg Painting) class at Pioneer Farms in East Austin and created two shaky-lined eggs. Just for the fun of it.

OPEN EDUCATION FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Lifelong Learning

Not all learning is just for personal enrichment and I regularly take courses from edX online – the last of which was using MS Excel Pivot Tables and the upcoming course on an Introduction to UX.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

DEPLOYED ASSETS VISIBILITY SYSTEM

Middle East Operating Theater

Onboarded as Field Service Engineer but my assessment of the clients’ needs once on the ground required a leadership role – was promoted within weeks to Operations Manager with in-country program management responsibility.

Over the course of a year I was able to take a program that was shelfed, hardware literally being used as coffee tables and ottomans, and deploy across Iraq, train over 100 Soldiers, Airmen and Marines and begin tracking vital data for mission success.

Allyson took an unstructured program and gave it structure and provided much needed guidance to a program. She worked under extremely difficult conditions in Iraq and provided direction to the program that she was working. She worked independently at times because of the lack of communication back to the US and provided extremely valuable on the spot decision making. When she returned to the US, she continued her solid decision making on the program. The feedback she provided was extremely valuable in enhancing

the product. Her insight on customer's requirements and being able to translate the customer's requirements into program requirements has benefitted the company in many ways. Her leadership in this process has

been extremely beneficial.I have never worked with anyone who has been more committed to getting it right and dedicated to

improving the product than Allyson.
