Congratulations to our students!

Their enthusiasm for writing gave birth to this heartfelt collection. We

can’t help but show our appreciation of them. We hope that you enjoy

reading it and share a great sense of achievement with our lovely and

My Week

I did many things last week. On Wednesday

afternoon, I joined The Boy’s Brigade HK at school. On Thursday evening, I

ate a hot pot at home. On Friday afternoon, I ate sushi. I like salmon sushi

very much. On Saturday morning, I went to the library. I read some funny

story books. On Sunday morning, I went to the park with Mum. I felt great.

On Wednesday morning, I went to school

to have art class and did homework from

9:55 to 10:10. On Friday afternoon, my

family went to the Science Museum. On Friday evening, we ate curry. On

Saturday morning, I played basketball with Lik and Paco. On Saturday

afternoon, we went to the library at 2 o’clock. I felt great.

On Wednesday morning, I had an art class

at Alliance Primary School, Sheung Shui.

On Thursday afternoon, I had a tennis class

from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. I went home by train and bus. I felt tired. On Friday

afternoon, I went to the Science Museum with mum. I saw some dinosaur

models there. On Saturday morning, I had a basketball class with friends. On

Saturday evening, I ate some yummy pizza. There was cheese, ham and some

pineapple on the pizza. I felt happy.

I want to be a police officer. I catch thieves and save people. I use a gun. I

wear a uniform. I work in a police office.

My friend, Ginny wants to be a teacher. She teaches children Maths. She

uses chalk, markers and pens. She wears a dress. She works in a school.

I want to be a teacher. I teach students English and Math. I use chalk,

markers and red pens. I wear a beautiful dress. I work in a big school. I feel

My friend Jacqueline Cheung wants to be a police officer. She uses a gun.

so happy!

My Week

My friends and I did many things last week.

On Wednesday morning, I went to school and

made yummy cookies. On Wednesday evening,

I sang two interesting songs and played ball

games. On Thursday afternoon, I ate lunch and did homework. On Thursday

evening, I played the piano, watched TV and ate dinner. On Friday evening, I

played the piano and ate dinner. On Saturday morning, I ate breakfast and

played in the park. On Sunday afternoon, I went to Ocean Park and watched

TV. On Sunday morning, I went to

Disneyland and read three story books.

On Sunday evening, I played the piano and

ate dinner. I felt great!

My Best Friend

Jacqueline was my friend. She was short and thin. She was beautiful. She

was friendly.

She studied very hard in the school. She listened carefully to the teacher.

She was a good student.

I liked her very much.

At the Market

On Tuesday afternoon, Ben and his mum go

to Tai Tai Market. They go there by bus. Ben’s

mum wants to buy some fruit so they go to the second floor by lift. They feel

great.

Then, Ben and his mum walk to a fruit stall. His mum sees some oranges

and she asks, ‘How much is an orange? ’ The shopkeeper replies, ‘It is

twenty dollars for four. ’ His mum asks, ‘May I have an orange, please?’ The

shopkeeper replies, ‘Here you are. Five dollars, please. ’ Ben chooses four

apples. His mum pays for them.

After that, Ben sees a man. He is tall. The man steals a lady’s purse.

Ben calls 999. The thief runs away. The lady can take back

her purse because the man leaves her purse on the floor.

At the Market

Today, Ben and Mum go to Tai Tai Market by bus. Ben feels excited. Mum

says, ‘We need to buy two apples and one orange. ’ Ben asks, ‘Which floor

do we need to go? ’ Mum says, ‘We need to go to

the second floor.’ They use the lift to go to the

second floor. Mum sees the apples and oranges.

Mum says, ‘Ben, can you choose a big and red apple.’ He chooses two big

and red apples and Mum pays for them.

Ben sees a cunning thief taking a lady’s purse. Ben feels

nervous and he tells mum, ‘Mum, mum, I see a cunning thief

taking a lady’s purse.’ Mum says, ‘Oh no! We need to call 999.’

The police come and see the cunning thief. Finally, the police catch him.

Susan and Her Mum

Last Sunday, Susan and her mum went to the park.

She was excited. She said, ‘I want to play on the swing.’

Her mum said, ‘OK! Let’s go!’ At the same time, Susan’s mum met a

friend, Judy. They talked happily.

‘Oh! Susan was lost!’ Susan’s mum was in a panic.

She looked for Susan at once. Finally, she saw

Susan was behind the tree. ‘Where did you go?’

said her mum. ‘I played with my new friend.’ said Susan. Then, they went

home cheerfully.

3B Samantha Ho

At the Market

I want to go to the beach because it is hot.

I go there with my family by car.The beach is

beautiful and very clean. I like the sea very much. So I want to swim and

look at shells. My father is tired. So he wants to have a nap. My sister wants

to build a sandcastle because the sand is so soft. We play ball games at the

beach. It is so fun. Then, we will have a picnic there.

It is wonderful and fantastic. We will have a great and lovely day at the

weekend.

In the Park

It is Sunday. Susan and her mum go to the park. They feel excited!

In the park, Susan plays on the swing. Her mum chats with her friend. They

feel great! Susan’s mum says, ‘Where do you want to go?’ Her friend says, ‘I

want to go to the supermarket.’

Ten minutes later, Susan’s mum and

her friend come back from the

supermarket. Susan’s mum looks for

Susan but she is not on the swing. Her

mum says, ‘Oh! No!’ She feels

nervous.

Her mum says, ‘Where are you, Susan?’ She looks for her everywhere.

Then, her mum goes to the garden. She finds Susan. She is smelling the

flowers. Her mum is very happy. She gives Susan a big hug and they go

home happily.

At Tai Tai Market

Today, Ben and his mum go to Tai Tai Market. They went to buy some

fruit. The fruit stalls are on the second floor.

When they arrive at the second floor, his mum wants to choose some

oranges at the orange stall. Ben goes to the apple stall to buy some apples. A

lady standing next to him wants to buy apples too.

Suddenly, a man stands next to the lady

quietly. He slowly takes her purse. Ben says,

‘Oh! What are you doing?’ It is too late, the

man runs away quickly. Ben asks the lady,

‘Shall we call the police?’ The lady says, ‘OK. ’ His mum says, ‘Ben, you did

a good job.’

After a few days, one of the policeman catches

the man. The police returns the purse to the lady

but all the money and credit cards are gone.

Last Summer

Kitty went to Japan with her parents

last summer. They went to Japan for five

days. They went to Tokyo. They went there

by plane.

They went to a sushi restaurant for dinner. The sushi was very delicious so

Kitty ate a lot. Then, they left the restaurant and Kitty felt sick. She had a

stomachache.

Kitty did not feel very well. Her parents said, ‘How are you, Kitty?’ Kitty

said, ‘I have a stomachache.’ Then, her parents took her to the hospital. Then,

the doctor said, ‘What did you eat for dinner?’ Kitty said, ‘I ate a lot of

sushi.’ The doctor said she should stay in the hospital for one night.

I Want to be Your Pen Friend

Hi Tom,

My name is Wendy. I am eight years old. My birthday is on 26th

November.

I live in Fanling. I have three elder sisters. I am fatter than my elder sisters.

We go to school on foot.

I am in Class 4A and my best friend is in the same class. Her name is Yoyo

and I sit in front of her. We live in different buildings. We like different

subjects and hobbies. She likes PE and ice-skating but I like Music and

skipping.

4B Felix Tsang

My Birthday Party

Last Sunday was my ninth birthday. So my

father and mother held a birthday party for me.

The party was in my home. It started at half past two in the afternoon.

My home was packed with my family and friends. First, we played some

exciting games. Then, we ate some food before we played more games.

After that, they gave me a big birthday cake

and sang a song for me. I made a wish then blew

out the candle. We ate the birthday cake. It was

very tasty.

My friends left at five o’clock. I had a nice day at my birthday party.

The Strong Boy

Once upon a time, there was a young boy named

Jim. He was very sick and his mum took him to the

hospital. One day, he suddenly fainted. A doctor

immediately sent Jim to the emergency room but Jim

opened his eyes instantly. Everyone was surprised. Then, Jim went with the

doctor and had a body check. Amazingly, Jim was healed and was discharged

from the hospital.

When Jim was at home, his parents noticed that Jim was

stronger than before. They saw him sometimes break the broom,

the door or a piece of wood easily. Finally, Jim became superman

when he was older.

Ken and the Puppy

Ken is the best jogger in his class. He always practices jogging in Hong

Kong Park. He sometimes practices jogging at Clear Water Bay. He has a

running competition next week. He wants to win a prize.

One day, Ken went jogging in Hong Kong Park. Suddenly, he heard a

hungry puppy howling under a bench. Soon, Ken gave

some sandwiches to the puppy. The puppy ran out and

ate the sandwiches happily.

The next day, Ken saw the puppy again. The puppy

smiled at Ken and waved his tail because he felt

thankful for his sandwiches. The puppy loves Ken very much. After that, the

puppy follows Ken and goes to him every day.

Kitty Got Sick in Japan

Kitty and her family went to Japan last summer. They went to Osaka by

plane. They were amused. They stayed there for nine days.

Kitty and her family did a lot of things. On Sunday, it was a sunny day.

They went shopping and bought a lot of things. Much later, they went to eat

sushi. They ate a lot of things because they were so hungry. They ate salmon

fish, sushi, seafood……Kitty felt so full but she was happy.

Suddenly, Kitty said, ‘I have a stomachache.

Can I go to the washroom? ’ Her mum said, ‘Yes,

you can.’ Ten minutes later, her parents asked, ‘Are

you okay? ’ Kitty replied, ‘I am not okay. ’

Just then, her parents took her to the hospital

because they thought Kitty was sick. Finally, the doctor

said, ‘You ate some dirty things. You need to stay here

for two days for observation, Kitty felt so disappointed because she couldn’t

go to play with her parents.

Her parents were so nervous because they had to get on the plane after a

few days. After two days, the doctor said, ‘You can go home.’ Her parents

and Kitty ran to the airport. At last, they could get on the plane. When they

got home. Kitty said, ‘Next time, I want to go to Japan because it was an

interesting place. I promise not to eat too much during the next trip. ’

Visiting Tai Po Lam Chuen

This was my first time to visit Tai Po

Lam Chuen and I had a wonderful time

there. I went with my family and went

there by minibus.

There are a lot of brilliant things to see and do in Tai Po Lam Chuen. We

saw a Wishing Tree and Trevi Fountain. They were so beautiful. I made a

wish, threw placard and wrote wishing paper. They were so funny. After that,

we had lunch in Lam Chuen. We ate typical food such as Halogen bean curd.

It tastes delicious. Then, we went shopping. I bought a windmill. At last, we

went home by minibus.

I was tired but I had a special day. I hope I will go to Tai Po again with my

family.

5A Lam Yat Long Anna

A Quarrel with My Elder Sister

What a terrible day. Today was the

worst day of my life. I had a quarrel

with my sister in the park this afternoon.

It was because she did not let me play on the swing. We said horrible things

to each other. I shouted at her loudly, ‘You are a big mean ogre! ’ And my

sister screamed back, ‘You little dwarf, you are too small to play on the

swing! ’ I felt very angry and frustrated.

I pushed her hard off the swing and she flew off the swing. My sister was

mad but she was hurt. I felt sorry and apologized to her. My sister also felt

bad that she said mean things to me.

In the end, we gave each other a hug, but we still got into trouble and were

punished. We will not go to the park for a month!

Visiting Tsim Sha Tsui

I have been to Tsim Sha Tsui four times.

I last went there last month. I went there

with my family.

We took the Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tusi. I looked out from the windows.

The view was great. We went to the Cultural Centre. We watched the ballet

show and listened to the performance of the orchestra.

After that, we went shopping. I bought a watch for my dad. In the evening,

we finished dinner and went to the Victoria Harbour to enjoy the night view.

It is very beautiful.

I like Tsim Sha Tsui because we can do many things there. We were very

happy and it was unforgettable.

5B Kwok Tin Yau

Visiting Cheung Chau

I have been to Cheung Chau three times. I went there two years ago. I

went there with my father, mother and elder brother.

First, we went to Cheung Po Tsai Cave.

It was a place where pirates lived. The

passage was winding. Then, we walked

along the Cheung Pak Road to the North

Lookout Pavilion. It was the highest point

in Cheung Chau. We could see the entire

view of Tung Wan. Finally, we had dinner at the Cheung Chau Seafood Street.

I ate some fish, crabs, lobsters and clams. They were fresh and delicious.

I like Cheung Chau because the air is fresh and there are lots of attractive

scenery. I like Cheung Chau Seafood Street as the seafood is tasty.

A Diary

Windy 3rd October, 2013

Today is an unlucky day! It is autumn now. I went to the country park with

my friend, Sally. We arrived there in the morning. We had a picnic and flew

kites there.

First, Sally and I flew the kites happily. Our kites were beautiful. They

flew very high too. Suddenly, an eagle flew in the sky. Sally said, ‘It’s so

beautiful, isn’t it? ’ ‘Yes, it flies quickly. ’ I answered. However, Sally’s kite

was getting lower, lower and lower. Then, our kites crashed! My kite was

broken. ‘Hey! My kite is broken. You should buy a new one for me. ’ I

shouted angrily. ‘No way! you flew your kite carelessly. It’s not my

responsibility. ’ She answered me loudly. She argued with me for a long time.

I felt very angry.

At night, Sally sent me an email. She wrote ‘I am sorry to argue with you

this morning. I will buy you a new kite tomorrow.’ I feel happier now. I think

we will play with each other again.

5C Chong Ho Yin

Visiting Tai O

I have been to Tai O three times. The

last time I went there was last year. I

went there with my parents, cousin, friends and brother. We took a long time

to get there. First, we took a minibus to Sheung Shui MTR station. When we

arrived at Tung Chung, we took Bus 11 to Tai O.

When we arrived there, I could smell a scent of fried seafood. Then I went

to that seafood restaurant. I could see a lot of seafood, for example, losters,

crabs, shrimps, and grouper. After we saw lots of seafood, we decided to

have lunch in this restaurant. We ordered seafood. It tasted good.

After lunch, we took a boat to the sea and wanted to see the Chinese white

dolphins, but we could not see them. We were disappointed.

In the evening, we took a ship to Tsim Sha Tsui. Suddenly, we saw a group

of Chinese white dolphins. I felt very happy and lucky to see it.

All of us were very happy to see Chinese white dolphins. I think it was the

best activity.

My Interesting Dream

I had an interesting dream last night. In

my dream, I travelled to Cyber City.

Everything was new to me. I saw many

robots which were strange but they also

spoke English. There was a fast food shop.

People bought pizzas and salad there. Also, there were some spaceships in

the sky. Some people were waiting at Galaxy Station to have a trip to Mars. I

was very curious about this city.

When I was riding on a motorcycle, a robot was lying on the ground. It said,

‘I need your help. ’ I was shocked. It told me that it had no batteries, so I

needed to buy a new battery from a supermarket. Then, I bought it

immediately and saved its life. The robot thanked me and I felt happy. It was

an unforgettable dream.

My Interesting Dream

I had an interesting dream last night. In

my dream, I was in Cyber City.

I saw so many Cyber transports. There

were so many aliens and robots living there. Some of the aliens looked like

octopuses. Some of the aliens looked like ‘R2 ’ in ‘Star Wars ’.

One day, when I went to school on my motorbike, I saw a robot was hurt

on the grass in front of my school. He asked for my help because he did not

have enough batteries. I went to school and asked school workers to lend me

some batteries to help him.

Once the robot had energy again, he thanked me for my help.

He invited me to have dinner at his home. I accepted his invitation.

I felt happy because I could help others as much as I could.

My Dream Job

I want to be a professional basketball player when I grow up because I like

playing basketball very much. I need to be fit and strong. I also need to be

patient so that I can finish the training every day. If I become a professional

basketball player, I will win a lot of competitions. I will also win an Olympic

medal for Hong Kong.

I will do more exercises and keep on training my basketball techniques so

that I can become a professional basketball player.

6B Choi Yan Qiu

My Dream Job

I love music very much so I want to be a woodwind

teacher and an accompanist. If I become a

woodwind teacher, I can play the saxophone every day.

What do I need to be if I become a woodwind teacher? I think I must be

good at music. I also need to be humorous so that the children will have

lessons happily. I need to pass the grade 8 examination too.

I will see different kinds of people, for example, rich people, blind people,

disabled people, etc. I will teach them if I become a woodwind teacher. That

is why I am proud of my job.

I will practice the saxophone more so that my dream will come true. I

should work hard on my music theory when I am free. I hope I can be the top

woodwind teacher in the world one day. Maybe you will see me in the Times

Magazine!

6B Tsang Choi Shu

Give a Helping Hand to Sichuan People!

Charity Week is next month. The Charity Club is going to hold a fun fair

to raise money for the people in Sichuan. In the fun fair, we are going to run

a toy stall named ‘Happy Helpers ’. It will collect the left-over toys from our

schoolmates after Christmas. We will donate all money raised to the fun fair.

If you buy the toys, you will help the people in Sichuan get rid of hunger. We

will do our best to put every penny that you donate to good use.

We will perform a puppet show too. When you buy a ticket for $10, we

will donate all to the people who are in need in Sichuan.

Do you know people in Hong Kong are very rich? We do not know what

poverty is. In the charity walk, we have to bare our feet and carry 1L of water

to walk around the farm. Each round will raise $100. If you walk more, you

can donate more!

Use your feet to help to change Sichuan people’s life!

Help people. Be happy.

My Dream

Last night, I had an interesting dream.

In my dream, I was in Cyber City. I saw

a lot of exciting things such as robots,

aliens, flying cars and tall buildings in the city.

When I was walking, I saw a robot lying on the grass. He asked me, ‘little

boy, can you help me? ’ ‘Sure! How can I help?’ I said. ‘I have a

stomachache. I can’t move,’ he said painfully. Then, I took him to hospital.

After seeing the doctor, he felt better.

‘Thanks for your help. I want to give you a surprise,’ said the robot. Then,

he took me to his spaceship and flew to space. I felt very excited when I

thought of the marvelous mystery of the planets. How beautiful and

wonderful it was! I have never been to space before. I really loved it. When I

was watching the view happily, I woke up. This is the most exciting dream in

my life.

6C Li Tsz Ching

My Dream Job

I want to be a vet when I grow up. I think being a vet is a good job because

the animals are cute and lovely.

If I become a vet, I’ll help animals to get better when they’re sick. I’ll also

take care of the animals.

I need to be caring so that they will trust me. I need to be brave so that I

won’t be scared of the animals such as pythons, lizards and spiders.

I will study hard to make my dream come true. I will also need to read

more books about nature so that I can learn more about the living habits of

animals.

I hope I can be a vet one day. I will try my best to make my dream come

true.
