Since 1975, Allgood International has worked across the world on many landmark hospitality projects. From architect Alex Mowat, a range of door and bathroom products in European oak, made exclusively in our British factory. An elegant super circular design provides a welcoming, warm aesthetic: grade 316 stainless steel concealed fixing roses guarantee durability.

Inspired by the collaboration between Alan Tye and Knud Holscher on the 1965 Saint Catherine’s College Oxford design, and made exclusively in our British factory. The world’s first coordinated range of ironmongery. Our UK manufacturing and in-house engineering team ensure all bespoke items not only look beautiful, but operate perfectly and last a lifetime. The creation of something unique can be a challenge, but our team of Guild of Architectural Ironmonger (GAI) qualified representatives will work alongside you - taking your project from a simple sketch all the way to installation.

Four Seasons, Dubai

Completed in November 2014, the Four Seasons Dubai sits beside Jumeirah Beach, just ten minutes from Dubai’s famous commercial district.

California based architect WATG worked alongside interior designer BAMO to create a resort heavily influenced by Mediterranean architecture and the hotel’s seaside location. For example, the lobby sits underneath an octagonal dome finished with gold leaf that enhances the natural light coming through the windows. Each of the 237 guestrooms comes with a balcony, offering panoramic views of the sea or the city’s extravagant skyline, punctuated by the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.

The luxurious hotel required a tailored package to ensure its aesthetic flair was complemented by the door furniture. The intricate detail on the Royal Suite doors was matched by custom made lattice pull handles in a pewter finish, whilst the rest of the suite and public areas were supplied with pull and knob handles in a co-ordinated bronze finish. In contrast, the hotel opted for a polished finish in the presidential suite, with nickel and stainless steel the preferred materials. A full spectrum of door furniture was applied including lever handles, lock cases and door closers, all supplied in the desired polished finish.

Fullerton Hotel, Singapore

Built in 1928, the Fullerton building was initially used as an office, housing entities such as the Ministry of Trade and the Chamber of Commerce.

Following a brief spell as a makeshift hospital during the Second World War, Britain’s surrender of Singapore to Japan led to the building becoming the headquarters for Japan’s military operation in the country.

In 1997, the building was sold for £300m and work began on renovating it for use as a hotel. Architects 61 set out to restore the building’s existing facade. The neo-classical columns and high-ceiling verandas were retained, and the Shanghai plaster panel cladding was restored.

However, the interior had to be completely transformed to accommodate the hotel’s 400 rooms. New additions included the indoor garden and the new restaurant, where the building’s historical lighthouse was kept and incorporated into the decor.

Allgood began work on the Fullerton in 1999, supplying a high, bespoke package that would complement the building’s prestigious reputation.

Allgood originally specified a combination of stainless-steel Haft Elipse levers and matching pulls in the public areas, along with bespoke pull handles for the ballroom doors. In the back of house area, Modric lever handles were fitted throughout, ensuring the hotel had a product that would last for at least 25 years.

More recently, Allgood was asked to provide new window fittings in a polished stainless-steel finish, to match the white painted windows in the bedroom.

Four seasons, Kuwait

The Four Seasons Kuwait on the Burj Alshaya waterfront boasts over 300 rooms and suites – the embodiment of opulence inside and out. This prestigious hotel, which blends motifs from traditional Middle Eastern architecture into an airy contemporary space, was designed to be the most luxurious in Kuwait, so naturally, it required a specialist ironmongery solution.

Having worked on many of the Four Seasons projects worldwide, Allgood was initially brought in by lead architect, Gensler to support the development of the ironmongery schedule. When Yabu Pushelberg was appointed as interior designer, Allgood was selected as their natural partner following many previous collaborations on similarly large and complex projects.

The showpiece of the £1 million ironmongery project is the bespoke brass pull handle on each of the 3.6 metre-high internal doors. Finished in a warm bronze designed to patinate over time, with a hammered texture, these pull handles required months of consultation and prototyping, as well as a customised manufacturing process in Allgood’s Birmingham factory.

This entry is of an extremely high standard. The hardware complements the building fabric perfectly

– in the simplicity of design and universal finish. The hotel design is well mirrored by the hardware

in its appearance and theme.

On March 22nd, Four Seasons Kuwait won second place in the International category of the RIBA-GAI Specification Awards 2019.

Allgood was formed in 1948 by Paul Shirville and Derrick Carter-Clout who grasped an opportunity to provide a complete architectural ironmongery service to the growing post-war construction sector. The idea was simple; offer a quality of products through a quality of service.

Our service to our partners has always been paramount: supporting architects and designers with their specification and scheduling needs since our very beginning. Our expertise in ironmongery products was matched by our determination to deliver the complete specification solution and we have always sought ways to improve this.

Since our inception, we have strived to lead the industry through design, innovation, and service. Seventy years later, Allgood remains privately owned by both families and we may have grown, but we have never lost our founding principles.
