Dear Au dience They call me Gold, Allen Gold. You can call me Al or G for short. My last name “Gold” suits & describes me quite well, you’ll see why later on. I started playing sports - when I was only 5 months old. At first it was crawl races, with just a few climbing obstacles. I was much faster than any other baby. As I got older, I started improving and playing tougher sports, like sprinting long jump. In Kindergarten, I was a very fast runner. My parents signed me up to swimming classes and I totally topped them. There was no doubt that I was gifted in all kinds of sports. My school allowed grade ones to participate in minor sporting events. In grade 1, I started the subject gym. I was still okay with other subjects, but gym for me was perfect. So anyway, I signed up for all sorts of sporting programs & events. Once I even outran a grade 6, I was only grade 1. I’m pretty sure that my parents planned it all. This could be the only good reason why they signed me up for all those sport training programs as I got into the higher grades. After Grade 12 and once I got my Bachelor’s Degree. I started trying to participate in the Games. It took a lot of training and time, but I did it. Eventually I entered the Games. Oh just so you know, I was born around 1993- ish. Anyway, back on topic. In every Game I participated in, I got at least one Gold medal, trophies, etc. I represented my Country, Canada, very very well. But, one day, this kid, Andy asked me to sign me up to this mascot challenge and I said “Sure”, because I wondered what a mascot does and because, I couldn’t

But, one day, this kid, Andy asked me to sign me up to this mascot challenge and I said “Sure”, because I wondered what a mascot does and because, I couldn’t participate in the Games anyway because they wanted some new gold winners. Still I wanted to be present in the Pan-Am Game’s main rink. So I thought, being a mascot is just fine, better than being part of the audience so I can’t wait. Now, I am humbled to be The Mascot of the 2015 Pan-am games. Thank you, Bye. Thank you for reading this letter! Sincerely; Allen Gold

Dear Au dience They call me Gold, Allen Gold. You can call me Al or G for

short. My last name “Gold” suits & describes me quite well, you’ll see why later on. I started playing sports when I was

only 5 months old.

There

was no doubt that I was gifted in all kinds of sports. My school allowed grade ones to participate in minor sporting

events. In grade 1, I started the subject gym. I was still okay with other subjects, but gym for me was perfect. So anyway, I signed up for all sorts of sporting programs & events. Once I even outran a grade 6, I was only grade 1. I’m pretty sure that my parents planned it all. This could be the only good reason why they signed me up for all those sport training

programs as I got into the higher grades.

After Grade 12 and once I got my Bachelor’s Degree. I started trying to participate in the Games. It took a lot of

training and time, but I did it. Eventually I entered the Games. Oh just so you know, I was born around 1993-ish.

Anyway, back on topic. In every Game I participated in, I got at least one Gold medal, trophies, etc. I represented my

Country, Canada, very very well.

But, one day, this kid, Andy asked me to sign me up to this mascot challenge and I said “Sure”, because I wondered

what a mascot does and because, I couldn’t participate in the Games anyway because they wanted some new gold winners. Still I wanted to be present in the Pan-Am Game’s main rink. So I thought, being a mascot is just fine, better than being

part of the audience so I can’t wait. Now, I am humbled to be

The Mascot of the 2015 Pan-am games. Thank you, Bye.
