ZZZ-JumpsuitThe ZZZ-jumpsuit is, as the name suggests, made for sleeping. It is warm, has practical pockets to fold up and over to create buildt in socks and mittens.Sizes0-4 (6-12 m) 1 (2 y)0-4 m for free below. The rest can be bought here.

YarnDouble strands Pickles Extra Fine Merino250 (400) 500 (600) g main colour50 g of 4 different pattern colours

Needles16 and 32 circular needles and DP needles US 9.

Gauge per 415 s / 32 rows in garter stitch

Measurements, lying flatWidth : 9 (10.6) 12.2 (13)Length without collar: Ca 21.2 (25) 28.3 (31.4)The yokeThe suit is knitted top-down with double strands. We used 1 strand main colour and one strand pattern colour for the yoke. To get a nice colour play, make sure to change colours from the wrong side.

Cast on 40 s LOOSELY.Knit garter stitch back and forth.

The first button hole is knitted after 4 rows, from the right side. Knit button holes every 14 rows like this:K3, YO, K2tog, knit the rest of the row.

Knit 12 rows from the start.Increase 20 s evenly on the next row. To avoid holes, find the yarn between two stitches, lift it and twist it into a loop, then knit it.NOTE: Never increase over the 6 first and last front band stitches.

Knit 7 rowsIncrease 16 s evenly.Knit 9 rows.Increase 20 s evenly.Knit 7 rows.Increase 22 s evenly.= 118 s.

Continue in stockinette with two strands in main colour.NOTE: The 6 front band stitches in each end of the row should still be knitted in garter stitch. Remember the button holes!

Part the piece into sleeves and body piece after about 0.4

K20 s, place 22 s on some scrap yarnfor the sleeve, cast on 6 s under the sleeve, K 34 s, place 22 s on some scrap yarn for the sleeve, cast on 6 s under the sleeve, K 20 s.

Knit the body piece back and forth (= 86 s) until it is ca 11.4 from where you increased the first time.Consider if you should knit the last button hole as youll now start knitting in the round. Drop it if its too close to the overlap.

You will now knit the front bands together, to reduce the 12 s to 6. When knitting these together, youll start knitting in the round in stockinette (except the 6 front band s). Knit like this on the next row from the right side:Knit until 6 s remains. Place these on to a spare needle, and place it behind the work.place th 6 s on the beginning of the row from the left needle to the right needle. Now place the s to the left on the spare needle onto the left needle, followed by the first s on the right needle. Repeat 6 times.(Make sure the front band with button holes overlaps the other!)

P2tog 6 times = 80 s.

After 3 rounds, start knitting the front bands in stockinette as well.Make the suit a bit roomier in the back when the piece is 12.5measured from where you increased the first time. (Look up knit and turn on youtube.com if you dont know how to do it.)

Place a marker after 40 s to mark the middle back (the round starts in the middle of the 3 front band s).*K6 s past this marker, turnP6 s past the same marker, turn*Repeat from * to * but add 6 for eachrepetition (ie 12 s next time)

Knit 1 round after turning 3 times on each side.Cast off the 6 stitches in the middle and in the back.= 68 s.

LegsKnit each leg seperately in stockinette in the round = 34 s for each leg.The round starts in the croch.Decrease 16 evenly on the next round when the leg is 6.2= 18 sContinue in garter stitch in the round fior about 2" before casting off the 9 s along the front of the leg.Knit garter stitch back and forth in a pattern colour. Make 1 new s at the beginning and end of the first row by making backward loops.

Cast off when the piece is 2.3 from where you casted off.Fold this flip up in the back of the leg. Sew it neatly to the leg along the sides, making a small pocket you can fold over the foot to create a sock.

Knit the other leg in the same way.

SleevesCast on 6 s under the sleeve = 28 s. The beginning of the round starts in the middle of these 6 new stitches. Place a marker here.Continue in stockinette in the round until the sleeve is 4.3. Decrease 8 s evenly on the next round = 20 s.

Continue in garter stitch for another 2" before knitting like this:K 5 s, cast off 10 s, K s.Knit garter stitch back and forth in a pattern colour. Make 1 stitch in each end of the row by maing backward loops.Cast off when the flip is 2.3".

Assemble in the same way as you did on the legs.Knit the other sleeve.Assemble in the croch and under the sleeves.pickles|20 Comments|Print Article|Share Articletirsdag, juni 19, 2012 at 1:32PM PICKLES AS 2009-2014 - ALL RIGHTS RESERVEDDet er ikke tillatt bruke vrt navn eller vre bilder i markedsfring / Do not use our images for commercial purposes.nsker du selge noe strikket etter vre mnstre, spr oss frst / If you want to use our petterns for comemrcial purposes, we need to be asked first.Kontakt oss/Contact
