This weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints Day. We celebrate all the Holy Men and Women of every time and place, the Saints we know and those known to God alone. This feast is the manifestation of one of the core beliefs of our Catholic Faith - the Commun- ion of Saints. We believe that through Baptism, all those we celebrate in Heaven today are joined to us in faith, and that the Saints pray and inter- cede for us to God. That is why as Catholics we profess our belief in the intercession of the Saints; we know that they continue to care and pray for us on our pilgrim journey to the Lord. There is also another dimension to this feast, and that is our own call to holiness. At Baptism we received our call and membership in the Communion of Saints, but sadly how often we forget what a high calling we have received from the Lord. The Saints whom we celebrate today are powerful reminders of that call we have to holiness. All Saints Day is a spiritual pep talk to remind us to not lose sight of our own call to holiness. As we celebrate all the Saints who took that call seriously may we be inspired to do the same. All Saints Day -Fr. • This weekend we celebrate the

Solemnity of All Saints Day. We celebrate all the Holy Men and Women of every time and place, the Saints we know and those known to God alone.

This feast is the manifestation of one of the core beliefs of our Catholic Faith - the Commun-ion of Saints. We believe that through Baptism, all those we celebrate in Heaven today are joined to us in faith, and that the Saints pray and inter-cede for us to God.

    Advent by Candlelight

For Women 2020 This year, our most popular event for women,

Advent by Candlelight, will take place with a

virtual twist. All women (parishioners, friends,

relatives, and neighbors) are invited to take a

break from the Christmas rush on Saturday,

December 5th at 6:30 pm to receive inspiration

and focus on Advent. You can share fellowship

with everyone while you enjoy dinner at home.

This year’s event offers the choice of 100% virtu-

al by Zoom or hosting a small gathering in your

own home and just checking in online to show

off your table and listen to the presentations.

We will play a virtual game and do as much as

possible to make this year’s event as social and

meaningful as it has ever been. To sign up and

    view the agenda, visit www.ccasta.org/abc.

Thank You for Your Help and Support

A special thank you to all of you who have been so faithful and generous in keeping up your contributions during this challenging year! Even though fewer people are coming to Church right now, our expenses are still the same. One particular area of concern at this time is the parish budget.

I am asking for those that are unable to attend mass, to please consider enrolling in electronic giving via our website www.ccasta.org/give so that even if you may not be here right now, CCASTA can remain thriving and ready for your return.
