message of hope and promise of freedom from active addiction. Our H&I panels still need more experienced members with a

willingness to serve. Our woman’s prison H&I commitment was started back up with the help of some female members. As of
our last area service our Activities committee was disbanded. My hope is that this is only temporary as a similar event occurred
about two years ago. I want to thank the regional PR Chair Chris P for mailing the banner and info cards to be used at the
Lebanon County Recovery Day which was held on Saturday September 7th. This was beneficial to our PR efforts that day and
aided us in our attractiveness within the community. This included speaking with interested citizens, potential members, family
members of addicts and professionals alike. We were able to provide information on the basics of our program, answer questions
and direct people how to get to a meeting. Our area service body is in need of committed members as there are some vital
positions as of our last area that are currently vacant including Area Chair, Area Vice Chair, Vice Secretary and PR Chair. Thank
you for allowing me to be of service.

Regional Treasurer Report
Gabe, Hope, and I met at the M&T bank to have us added to the account. I also met with the accountants to discuss
and attempt to rectify our tax status. We have lost our tax-exempt status due to not filing our taxes for the last three
years. I have a list of items needed to reinstate our status:
Articles of Incorporation
Bylaws
Conflict of Interest Policy
List of Board of Directors (names, mailing addresses, qualifications, average hours worked, and
duties).
Verification of our mailing address (who retrieves this mail)
In order to reinstate our status the accountants will need to prepare Form 1023 on our behalf, they have sent an
invoice for $1000.00 for this service. In addition, we will need to send the 1023 with a payment of $650.00 to the
US Treasury.
I also signed information and mailed out our 2016 taxes by certified mail with a request for a receipt as suggested by
our accountants. I will be asking for reimbursement for this mailing. The accountants requested that we forward any
mail that we receive from the IRS for the penalties of late filing.
The accountants are currently working on preparing our taxes for 2017 and 2018. There is information that is still
missing in order for them to complete these tasks. This information is pertaining to financial transactions from the
Region and MARLCNA. Also, the names of members who held certain service positions during these periods. I am
currently working on gathering this information so that we can file our taxes for 2017 and 2018.
I would strongly recommend that this region consider updating our policy to include who will be responsible to
ensure that the accountants retrieve all the information that they need annually to rectify this issue moving forward.

RDA Report August 25th Jodi and I attended the NEZF zoom call. Below is the bullet points outline the details of the call. Jodi and I are here for any questions/answers regarding the context of the call.
ABCD and NNY were not present on the call.
Elections were tabled until the NEZF meets in November. o Guidelines for PR chair have not been created yet o Nominees for Treasurer were not present to qualify
PR subcommittee chair - proposal to create NEZF PR t-shirts costing $800 to be paid for by each region's PR subcommittee costing $66.67 each if divided 12 ways (this failed in new business)
Webservant - Jeremy needs the MRLE flyer.
Chairperson - Adam said stuff about Bob having a discussion with someone from the CT region about Adam's role as chair at the NEZF. CT told Bob that Adam only serves the CT region as the PR subcommittee chair
Vice chair - Dennis - A bank account was created for the NEZF. It only has two starter checks and a debit card. Nancy from NJ noted a comment about the debit card being destroyed. This was discussed further in November.
Bryan discussed his survey and there was discussion about changing some wording around.
After a few straw polls, the survey stays the same and goes out today.
GNYR proposal to form an ad-hoc for a service symposium failed (4-5-1)
Bob's RBZ nomination failed (6-1-3)
Discussion about the NEZF in November with members from the hosting region. All RDs and ADs will receive a complimentary registration to the convention. They have a flyer for the event and the NEZF may facilitate the MAT/DRT as it relates to NA workshop.
There was a straw poll to extend the meeting an additional 15 minutes.
RCMs, please take back the NEZF FD environmental scan to your areas. The deadline is September 30th. This scan addresses the idea of developing a fellowship development ad hoc committee within the zone to “increase delivery of services and resources across all states and regions with the zone”. The idea includes shared resources and was originally discussed in the April face to face strategic planning session. More details on the specifics are located on the site in which the scan is located. It is suggested and requested that we remind areas, groups, and members to fill out this scan. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeyXMj9T_ATYfZn75xZi_NAngKLOej52iTv6EoLshhncLNLmQ/viewform or nezf.org located under New Updates/Fellowship Development Survey Our next NEZF meeting will be the face to face November 1 - 3 2019 at the Tri State start to live convention in Erie. Jodi and I will both be attending. NEZF’s PR zoom meetings are continuing to be help the third tuesday of the month at 9pm and the link is available on the website. In loving service, Suzi B
