Part 3 (17-18 YEARS OLDS)The final part of this program is designed for junior and seniors in a retreat setting with an opportunity for prayer and sacraments. Parents are encouraged to attend the informational night that provides an overview of what will be covered during the retreat. The program covers some of the following topics:
• Human sexuality • Vocation choices, such as what to expect after graduation • Chastity and abstinence • Importance of optimizing our God-given talents, e.g., freedom • Discussion of STD’s • Intro. to Natural Family Planning
Part 2 (13-16 YEAR OLDS)The second part of the program is gearedtoward high school students and their parents or significant role models. It is intended to foster positive parent/child relationships and to facilitate discussion of various topics, including:
• Dating • Peer pressure • Friendships • Self-esteem • Chastity and abstinence • Parent and teen responsibility • Obedience • Living the virtuous life, such as self mastery • Safe Sex Myths
All in God’s Plan is a three-part program offered at various stages of development for children, and their mothers, fathers, parents, guardians, or other strong role models in their lives. Each program is age specific and appropriate. It is intended to assist families in teaching youth about God’s gift of human sexuality and the sacredness of human life, while emphasizing the importance of the family.
Parent NightsAll parts have a successful parent night. Manyparishes are adding parent nights prior to anevent. These nights usually include a parenttestimony, an overview of the material, areview of Church teaching and a question andanswer session. It is optional, but an importantevening.
Part 1 (10-12 YEAR OLDS)This pre-teen program invites girls and theirmothers and boys and their fathers, or otherstrong role models, to the first of threeprograms. The purpose of this program is tofoster communication between parent andchild about human sexuality and the sacrednessof human life. The information is ageappropriate. Topics include:
• Modesty • Vocation • Responsibilities of family • Christian values • Physical and emotional changes experienced by pre-teens
