First Half Issue 2015-2016 Desert Haven Enterprises 43437 Copeland Circle Lancaster, CA 93535 All Hail the King and Queen of the Snowflake Ball Some 240 consumers and their guests attended the an- nual Snowflake Ball at the University of Antelope Valley’s Grand Ballroom in Lancaster. Dressed in their finest eve- ning attire, attendees enjoyed a delicious meal, visited with friends, and danced the night away to tunes spun by DJ Kevin Dobbs of Global Spinners. Once again, two individuals were crowned King and Queen of the event. Malik Session and Leeza Palmer, participants in the Work Readiness Program, were elected King and Queen by their friends and co-workers, who voted throughout Desert Haven. Both were very surprised and happy to have been se- lected. Malik and Leeza enjoyed their first dance together and were then joined on the dance floor by Prince Edward Harrison and Princess Zanae Sells of Project Independence. The Royal Court was announced by Desert Haven Executive Director Jenni Moran and crowned by PI Coordinator Lorraine McKesson and Counselor Veronica Ramirez.
