Forest floorThe forest floor isn’t that crowded you think that it is because it has fallen leaves and branches. If you was walking on the forest floor you will find lots of insects like termites , slugs and earth worms . In the rainforest some animals eat each other to survive. Plants that don’t need a lot of sunlight don’t live here.

Canopy The canopy layer is basically made out of tangled vines and tree branches . Only little sunlight gets through the canopy .The canopy layer is between the under storey layer and the emergent layer.Animals • Birds• Monkeys• Frogs• Sloths• Lizards• Snakes• Insects• Toucans• Tree frogs

EmergentThe emergent trees are over 200 feet from the floor and they get most of the sunlight because they are the tallest trees in the rainforest. Only a few very tall trees through the canopy and into the emergent layer.
