ALICE & WHITTLES is a global brand founded by two international humanitarians, Sofi Khwaja and Nicholas Horekens.
The ALICE & WHITTLES brand is an ever-grow-ing culmination of ideas and projects that draw on both the aesthetic and ethical sensibilities of its founders - design simplicity, craftsmanship and the careful use of sustainable materials.
The ALICE & WHITTLES limited SS2014 collec-tion of unisex espadrilles is the first of a series of projects that showcase these principles.
The cotton for Alice & Whittles espadrilles is sourced from 11 small scale organic farmers in Kutch, India.
Co-operative communities in the same region hand-weave our canvas.
Our canvas is then sent to the the Basque region of France, where the final espadrilles are crafted by artisans who have been making espadrilles for generations.
