ALEXANDRIS VINEYARDS Alexandris Vineyards are situated on the slopes of mount Ataviros at Embona, Rhodes. Our 45 acres vineyards are cultivated with great care and enthusiasm that leads our family to constantly research and experiment with Greek and foreign varieties, both well and less known ones. New technological advances blend well with tradition throughout vine growing and vinification processes. The philosophy of the winemaking focuses on the production of high quality wine that is bind by the ecosystem of mount Ataviros and expresses the uniqueness of the natural surroundings. To achieve this goal, the cultivation and vinification take place under special catering, using not only the knowledge and experience but also by merging tradition with technology. The aim is to produce high quality wines from grapes cultivated exclusively in the privately-owned vineyard; wines that carry all distinct characteristics of the specific microclimate (terroir) of Embona- Rhodes.

Regional Wine of Dodecanese

Grape Variety: Athiri Bottle: 750 ml Delicate, fruity dry white wine, showing plenty of quince, green apple and floral flavors. With a bright green–yellow color and a refreshing acidity it will be the perfect companion to shellfish, fish and white meats.

 

Alexandris Red

Regional Wine of Dodecanese

Grape Variety: Grenache Rouge, Mandilaria Ageing: 6 months in French Oak barrels Bottle: 750 ml Beautiful red cherry color, elegant, refreshing and delicate with a clean beam of wild berry and raspberry fruit. Finishes with a burst of dark fruit flavor and lively acidity. It is an excellent companion to roasted meat or hard cheeses.

  Alexandris Medium Sweet

Medium Sweet Red Table Wine

Grape Variety: Grenache Rouge, Mandilaria, Muscat of Alexandria, Muscat of Hamburg, Athiri, Cabernet Franc Ageing: 4 months in French Oak barrels Bottle: 750 ml An elegant wine with brilliant ruby color, discreet aroma of mature fruits, smooth in mouth with a fleshy structure framed with the warm presence of alcohol. Spicy finish with almond notes. A perfect accompaniment for roasted meat, Far East dishes or along desserts and fruits.

Dry Red Table Wine Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Mandilaria

Ageing: 14 months in new French Oak barrels Bottle: 750 ml

World Citizen blends both elegance and power. A ruby red, deep-colored wine, aged for 14 months in new French oak, that combines dark chocolate and vanilla on the nose with alluring blackberries, cigar box and black pepper aromas on the mouth. The wine its blended with a touch of Mandilaria to enhance its structure, color and cellaring potential. A mouth filling wine in perfect balance of real finesse and class.

Late Harvest White Grape Variety: Athiri, Riesling, Muscat of Alexandria Bottle: 500 ml A sweet white wine with a crystal blond color and a complex bouquet of mango, peach and orange zest. Clean on the palate, elegant and fresh pairs perfectly with fruit desserts or as an aperitif.

Late Harvest Rosé Grape Variety: Cabernet Franc, Mandilaria, Grenache Rouge Bottle: 500 ml

Three grape varieties share their flavors for this seductive wine. A confident Rosé, with fresh strawberry notes interwoven with brambles and lovely sweetness. It would make a perfect partner with the likes of a red-fruit torte, a creamy dessert or you can enjoy it as an aperitif.

The touch of sun

Our winery has been passed on from father to son in our familly. The production of sweet wines from sun dried grapes is a traditional technique that passes from one generation to another.

 

 

  Liasto Alexandri White

Naturally Sweet White Wine

Grape Variety: Athiri Ageing: 18 months in French and American Oak barrels Bottle: 500 ml This naturally sweet wine, from our own Athiri grapes, has golden-amber color, aromas of honeycomb, dried figs and candied fruit. Luscious and balanced on the palate, shows the finesse and character of this noble variety, with a long, almost idelible aftertaste. It can be savoured with a cheese plateau, nuts or foie gras on toast.

   

 

 

 

  Liasto Alexandri Red Naturally Sweet Red Wine

Grape Variety: Mandilaria, Grenache Rouge Ageing: 18 months in French and American Oak barrels Bottle: 500 ml Sensual tile-red robe wine with mocha hints, burlat cherry and raisiny fruit aromas on the nose produce a balance between the nutty, caramel taste on the palate. It can be savoured with dark chocolate desserts, the powerful flavors of blue cheese or a nice cigar.
