BEGINNING

• Southam undertook all the tasks on his videos and he became a ‘one man band’

• So this was when it came to him using his own camera, lighting and editing and now uses a Director of Photography.

• He likes the format of music video because he feels that he ‘can try new techniques and have a real artistic freedom’, meaning he is able to express himself through his music videos.

• He is less keen on commercials as they allow for ‘much less freedom’

• He uses Vimeo to showcase his videos, this had now became a increasingly important platform as it is considered to have a more higher status than YouTube.
