Padilla, Case No. 34-2020-80003402, today requiring the Secretary of State to direct county elections officials to complete the random sample verification of signatures for Initiative #1879 “Amends Consumer Privacy Laws. Initiative Statute.” by June 25, 2020, instead of June 26. Please see the attached order from Judge Shelleyanne W. L. Chang. For those counties who have not yet reported, please complete your random sample verification of signatures for Initiative #1879 by Thursday, June 25, 2020. Please disregard this memo if you have already checked the validity of the signatures on the petition sections and submitted your certification to our office.
