Construction experience. This will come with time and Alex needs to be patient in gaining this experience.

Better understanding of the QAQC process/procedures, the total building envelope and its related components (Civil, Structural, MEP, etc.)

Alex has a good attention to detail when it concerns field observations.

Alex has a good knowledge base and thirsts for more. He is smart and quick learner. I believe he will be successful in a Field Superintendent or QAQC role where he can use his skills effectively. He shows good judgment, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

I would recommend the QAQC path and he should be hired. I strongly recommend that he be placed on a project as a fulltime QC and assigned a strong QAQC mentor.

Alex demonstrated a strong work ethic and shows a lot of initiative. When given a task, he jumps right in to get it completed with minimalSupervision required.

Alex shows he has an attention to detail and is intuitive enough to know if something looks wrong in the field. This is a good trait fora QA-QC professional.

Alex is a fast and eager learner. When presented with a task he was able to run with it with little supervision. He was able toperform inspections by himself.

Alex is a problem solver. When he finds an issue he resolves it on his own or is able to reach out to his many resources tocollaborate the best solution.

Alex is very punctual. He always arrived at his work assignment on time. Eventhough he was directed at the beginning of his internship thathe was only to work 40 hours per week, he consistently came in early and stayed late on his assignments to gain knowledge.

Humility. Alex sometimes comes across as very presumptuous as he believes he may be entitled to a certain status or level or be desrvingof certain job benefits or opportunities that he has not paid his dues for in the industry.

Alex traveled to several project sites and assisted with site inspections as related to QA/QC. He also assisted with water testing of installed productsand leak investigations.

Testing and Inspectionl

In the time I spent with Alex, he displayed an eagerness to learn, good judgment and attention to detail. He is a quick learner andshowed iniciative in his work behavior.I think Alex has a solid work ethic but lacks overall construction experience. I think Alex has much to learn in both construction andthe business environment of the construction industry. I think Alex has very high expectations and maybe a slight sense ofentitlement. I hope Alex can exhibit patients when navigating his career path.

Alex Feil reported to me at the site on 6/22/15 for a two week assignment. Three days later herequested if possible to extend another week, that was granted. This was due to the abundanceof inspection tasks with multiple trades onsite simultaneously and he was thriving on thechallenge. I assigned him with inwall and above ceiling QC inspections and punchlists usingBluebeam Studio. He also logged in floor testing results, and pipe pressure test results. Heconducted himself professionally with subs and USACE QA, including conducting a Govt.inspection documenting the entire process. He arrived early and stayed late always askingquestions on topics he didn't know of and where he should look for the answer in the contractdocuments or codes.

Integrity. Attention to detail. He can identify right from wrong and say something to theproject team promptly. Really good people skills and interpersonal communication. Computer skills using tablet PC/iPad reviewing contract documents and makingpunchlists real-time. Efficient personal time management.Willingness to listen/learn/ask questions to gain knowledge that will benefit the projectand himself professionally.

Quality Control, with emphasis on complex projects such as USACE projects.

Knowledge of general building codes and common commercial construction standards. Training in design build delivery, Federal Govt. contracting, and Healthcare UFC's.Certification in USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors.Certification in ASHE Health Care Construction

Alex demonstrated to me he was capable of handling the burden of inspections andpunchlist management with his professional communication skills to the project teamand with the subs, verbally and in daily written reports.Alex is excellent at working alone with very little supervision in the field to accomplishhis tasks on time. He would quickly report updates and seek answers to issues hecould not solve on his own.Alex shows a maturity and sense of pride to do whats right. Coworkers and subsrespect his role on the project.

Alex worked 10-12 hour days and weekends, saying that he wanted to get the most field experience he could, and hedid so with a passion for learning. He was exposed to the USACE Three Phases of Control, attending PreparatoryPhase and Initial Phase meetings, and conducting Followup Phase meetings daily with myself, subs, staff, and theQA. He contributed to the QC Daily Reports. He built inspection folders and room sheets in Bluebeam Studio. Heconducted overhead and in-wall inspections, updating inspection reports live on iPad in Studio, and using colorcoded paint on the walls. He logged in pipe pressure tests. He reviewed submittal data from servers and inspectedmaterials installed such as flooring and tile. He was shown the RFI process including updates to the as-built redlinesand how to do them daily. He was shown the Division one specs for Govt. contracting and the complexities added tothe contract. He attended all site meetings to understand communication and documentation required for Govt.projects. He understands the role of Quality Control Manager to the site team. He sees the value in a successfulrelationship of QC with USACE Quality Assurance Representative QA. Bottom line Alex would be an asset to JEDunn Quality Teams. It was a pleasure to work with him and I want him on my team in the near future!

CAFB: Performing in-wall and overhead inspections to very high detail, punchlists (posting, updating tracking sheets)plumbing pressure tests, Bluebeam(creating drawings, linking drawings, Bluebeam studio, As-Built posting), participated inprogress meetngs, scheduling, RFIs, Team building activities.

Dedication - Alex was often the first to arrive and the last to leave during the day. He exemplifies a strong desire to learn all that hecan and made the most of his stay at CAFB.

Technological skills - Alex was able to pick up the technology used on site very quickly and was then able to learn on his own delvingdeep into the inner workings of Bluebeam and Onenote.

Attention to detail - Alex was able to jump right into tracking down specification requirements for numerous trades regarding overheadwork. he pointed out many deficiencies making the overhead inspection process smooth so that all items were caught at one time.

Alex has a thirst for knowledge. I am confident as he gains experience through JE Dunn he will learn a great deal moreabout the inner workings of the company. he still has a lot to learn about the construction practices and terminology, suchas commissioning, but he is a fast learner.

Alex is a fast and eager learner. When presented with a task he was able to run with it with little supervision. He was ableto perform inspections solo with the USACE rep very well.

ü

Alex is extremely personable. This is an invaluable trait when dealing not only with office personnel, but field level workersas well.

I am confident Alex could perform in any field JE Dunn has to offer. he would best be suited for QA/QC, ProjectManagement or Superintendent tracks.

Alex is a problem solver. When he finds an issue he resolves it on his own or is able to reach out to his many resources tocollaborate the best solution.

Alex arrived onsite as an intern but left as an integral part of the Team in only two weeks time. when he left we had quitethe hole to fill because he was efficient and enjoyed performing the duties assigned to him. Alex was a valuable asset tothe Columbus Team and we be a great addition to the JE Dunn family.
