As a summer teaching fellow, I not only took on the role of a teacher, but also a spirit committee leader and personal mentor. The biggest
part of my job was the teacher aspect. I taught two 50-minute classeson Geometry last summer, with each class having 10 students each. This involved me working with an instructional coach and designing
daily objectives and engaging lesson plans. I also had the opportunityto talk to sponsors about my work in the classroom and network withother professional in the education industry. As a Spirit Committee
Leader, I organized spirit activities such as “spirit weeks”,"Motivation Mondays" and BSV Olympics, in which different group ofstudents competed in physical and academic competition. The third
and most crucial part of my job was being a personal mentor. Notonly was I the number one resources for acamdemic and personalproblems for my Gemoetry students but I also I managed my own
personal crew of 8 students . I still continue to keep in contact withmy students as an advisor, confidant, and guide
