MISSION STATEMENT

“To provide shelter, food and intellectual and moral education for orphaned and

abandoned children in order to integrate them into society as productive and

positive beings.”

WHO ARE THE ALBERGUE CHILDREN?

70% from poor indigenous families in poverty-stricken mountain pueblos

Removed from, abandoned by, or given up by families unable to provide for them

Mostly not adoptable Many spend entire childhoods at the Albergue Most have suffered significant trauma in their

lives About 50 children, aged 2-18
