Waiver of Liability

Security & Liability

I acknowledge that my property, including, without limitation, any art or other items on display may be damaged, lost or

stolen during the exhibition or during the unpacking, packing or transportation of and I acknowledge and understand the

risk involved by allowing such property to be displayed by Alaska SeaLife Center. I understand that I am solely

responsible for insurance coverage for the item(s) being displayed, and the burden is on me to do so at my own cost.

By signing this waiver, I agree to waive any personal injury or property damage claim, now or in the future, that I may

suffer as a result of the exhibition. I agree to indemnify and hold Alaska SeaLife Center, Board of Directors, employees,

and designated representatives harmless from any personal injury or property damage claim, now or in the future, that I

may suffer or cause at the exhibition.

Publicity

By signature below the Lender also grants permission for Alaska SeaLife Center to use photos, videos, or any other

reproduction of the art or in which the Artist may appear for future publicity, or educational projects.

Sales

On date of First Friday reception all sales are the responsibility of the Lender. Following the First Friday reception when

Lender is not present Alaska SeaLife Center will assist in sales transactions via cash or check only. If an item is sold it may

be replaced with another item by artist. It is preferred that sold pieces will be marked as sold and remain with the

exhibit until its close. Alaska SeaLife Center is not responsible for shipping sold pieces. Shipping arrangements shall be

made between the customer and artist. The Lender will provide pricing labels to be displayed with each exhibit piece

unless other arrangements are made with Alaska SeaLife Center.

Exhibit Content & Set up

Works selected for exhibit must be appropriate for all ages. Alaska SeaLife Center reserves the right to reject any exhibit

in full or in part. All artwork must have a finished appearance suitable for gallery display.

The Lender is responsible for the hanging or display of any artwork and must get prior approval of any signage from

Alaska SeaLife Center. The Lender of three-dimensional works of art must provide a means of display, which must be

approved by Alaska SeaLife Center prior to acceptance to exhibit. Art shall be hung or placed in areas specified by Alaska

SeaLife Center.

Exhibit Start & End Dates

The terms of the exhibition begin when the Artwork(s) are delivered to Alaska SeaLife Center (exhibit start date), and

shall run through the date when the final items are collected (exhibit end date). Alaska SeaLife Center is not responsible

for taking down or packaging exhibit; this must be done by the Lender.

By signing below I certify that I have read this First Friday Artist Agreement in its entirety and fully understand and agree

to its contents, and, I release and hold harmless Alaska SeaLife Center, its Board of Directors, employees, and

representatives from and against any and all claims of injury or damages relating to the above provisions.
