PASS ME THE MILKIn formal Quranic Arabic, the word for milk is actually laban لنب - however, apart from Egypt most of the Arab world would typically use 7aleeb حليب for milk and laban لنب for yoghurt! So be careful when you ask for milk in your tea.If you›re at the table and you want to ask someone to pass you the milk, you can try saying some of these phrases:
