6. Openthebleedscrew(startwiththefurthermostcalliper)atleastonefullturn.Placeaclearflexiblehoseoverthebleedscrewandimmersetheotherendintoacontainerpartiallyfilledwithbrakefluid.
7. Squeezethepressurebleedgunrepeatedly(seediagram3-butnottoofastorcavitationsmayoccur)ensuringthatthebulkbrakefluidtankandthereservoirdonotrunoutofbrakefluidorairwillenterthehydraulicsystem.Atnostageletthefluidlevelinthereservoirfallbelowtheminimumfluidlevelindicator.

Holdtheapplicatorverticallyupwardsandprimebysqueezingthehandlecompletelyforwarduntilallairhasbeenexpelledfromthetubingandbleedgun.
To lubricate the bleeder Thebleederhasauniquelubricatingfeltwasherenablingthebarreltobelubricatedaftereachuse.Torelubricatethefeltwasher,removethebarrelanddipthepiston(o-ringandfeltwasher)intobrakefluid.N.B. Do not use mineral based oils such as CRC.
WARNING -FailuretobleedtheAL-KOiQ7actuatoraccordingtomanufacturersinstructionmaycauseequipmentdamageandvoidtheproductwarranty.UndernocircumstancesshouldtheAL-KOiQ7actuatorbe used to bleed the brake system.
WARNING -Thebleedingdeviceisnotdesignedtowithstandextremepressurizationsoshouldneverbepumpedcontinuouslywithoutatleastonebrakebleedscrewbeinginanopenposition.Failuretoobservethiswarningmaycausethebleedguntofail,andpossiblepropertydamagemayoccurthroughbrakefluidcontamination!
WARNING -TheendofthebleedingdevicehosenotconnectedtotheAL-KOiQ7shouldalwaysbesubmergedinabottleofcleanbrakefluid.Failuretofollowthisproceduremayresultinairbeingpumpedintothebrakesystemandthefullbleedprocedureneedingtoberepeated.

8. Continuesqueezingthepressurebleedgununtilthebrakefluidintheflexiblehoseattachedtothebleedscrewisfreeofairbubblesandtightenthebleedscrew.
9. Repeattheprocesswiththenextfurthermostcalliperawayfromtheactuator.
10. Bleedtheothersideofthetrailerstartingwiththeclosestcallipertotheactuatorfirstasabove.
11. Connectthetrailertothetowvehicleandturnonignitiontoactivateactuator.Allowthecompressortofullychargetheactuator(approx90seconds).Oncethecompressorhasstoppedapplythebrakes,andholdonfora5secondperiodandrelease.Repeatthis4times.
12. Checkthebrakefluidlevelinthereservoir.Itshouldnotexceedthetopofthesightglassmaximumlevel.
13. Replacethefluidreservoircap.

IMPORTANT
Before removing the pressure bleed gun from the reservoir, make sure that there is no pressure in the system (pressure bleed gun has fully returned to the rest position) or brake fluid spillage will occur causing paint damage.
WARNING:
Correctbleedingoftheactuatoriscriticalastrappedairgreatlyreducestheefficiencythebrakes.Whenthebleedingprocessiscomplete,checkallbleederscrewstoensurethattheyaresecureanddonotleak.Failuretoproperlyinstall,operateandmaintainyourAL-KOiQ7brakingsystemcancausemalfunctionresultinginpossibleseriousorfatalinjuriesand/orpropertydamage.
Monitor the brake fluid level in the reservoir so that the actuator is not run without.
