Dear readers of Al Intilaqa

May God accept our fasting and all other good deeds and many returns of Ramadan and we are in good health, security and stability. I’m also delighted to wish you happy Eid Al Fitr.

We are about to receive new days after the end of summer vacation and Eid holiday, while we are looking for citizens to move forward to national unity and an era that brings back prosperity and stability to our beloved Kingdom of Bahrain.

This month will witness the inauguration of trucks showroom at Al Zayani Motors, in which it is a project includes the latest showrooms that are completed with a garage that is worth more than BD3 million, out of our trust in our Nation and we will provide the best services for our dear costumers.

Our organization by the Grace of God and dedication of its sincere employees is in continuous growth that led to modernization of information technology.

I pray to God for our dear Bahrain the blessing of tranquility and prosperity and success for the best for our organization.

Tamkeen has organized a graduation ceremony for a group of employees who joined the career progression program and successfully completed their training.

The Training Officer of Al Zayani Investment, Mr. Mohammed Aqeel, said: “More than twenty female and male employees from various companies of the group obtained Certificate of Distinguished Employees in Tamkeen Career Progression Programme in a graduation ceremony held on 5 October 2011.”

It is worth mentioning that Al Zayani Investments has obtained the largest number of memorials among companies of the Kingdom of Bahrain and they are five memorials; Al Zayani Investments Company, Euro Motors, Zayani Motors, First Motors and Zayani Leasing.

Al-Zayani Investments hosted a Ramadan Ghabga for all their staff under its umbrella. The annual ghabga, which was held in the Sofitel Bahrain in Zallaq on August 18 this year, was to celebrate the Ramadan atmosphere with all employees and the management. During the ghabga, many activities took place. Staff with long service have been awarded and competitions also took place between employees like cards playing, traditional Bahraini contest and sweet dish competition. Many employees got engaged with the raffle draw on different prizes and it was a very intense moment to announce the winner of the final draw on the grand prize which was a MINI Cooper. Competitions have drawn the staff into the spirit of the evening. It was a fun and interactive day for all staff and congratulations to the lucky winner.

Euro Motors hosted a fatoor for the Bahrain Riders in Elite – Muharraq at the Noor Tent. Over 35 members were welcomed and the event was attended by the Euro Motor’s BMW Motorrad showroom Manager Mr. Ali Al-Asfoor and the marketing team.

The fatoor gave Euro Motors and Bahrain Riders a dear opportunity to socialize and get to know other each which was a very nice evening in a very relaxed atmosphere.

The Ferrari Owners’ Club of Bahrain got together for a delightful Ramadan Ghabga at the Ramadan tent of the new Sofitel in Zallaq Bahrain. The Ferrari owners first gathered at the Euro Motors Showroom in Sitra for a private viewing of the Bahrain Special Edition Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.

The Ferrari Owners enjoyed traditional Ramadan refreshments before driving off in a parade heading to The Sofitel Zallaq. Mr. Zayed Al-Zayani Managing Director of Euro Motors was also present at the event to share in the camaraderie of the club.

Euro Motors made its presence this Eid at the Bahrain City Centre by displaying the latest MINI Cooper model, the 4x4 MINI Countryman which has recently arrived and launched. The car was located in a very special spot inside the mall where it has impressed many of the mall goers and was met with great response.

Interbrand, the global brand consultancy, ranked Hyundai as one of the world’s greenest brands, citing the automaker’s Blue Drive eco-friendly strategy and its industry leadership in zero-emissions hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle development.

Interbrand ranked Hyundai 11th among the agency’s 50 Best Global Green Brands, a new global report by the agency. Hyundai placed fourth among the seven automotive brands that made the survey.

“The company is so confident in its fuel efficiency that starting this year it is

reporting monthly fleet fuel efficiency figures in the U.S.,“ Interbrand wrote in the survey. “Hyundai has recently seen strong improvements in energy, GHG emissions, water, waste, and toxic emissions.”

The survey, which questioned more than 10,000 respondents in 10 countries, examined each company’s environmental record and how the company is perceived by consumers. Companies were judged based on their performance, their environmental impact, their sustainable growth strategy and their corporate social responsibility programs.

Hyundai’s Blue Drive sub-brand, launched in 2008, encompasses all of the company’s eco-friendly technologies and products that contribute to higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions, including gasoline, diesel, electric, hybrid and hydrogen fuel-cell engines.

Hyundai rolled out the Avante LPi hybrid in 2009 and the Sonata hybrid in 2011.

Hyundai plans to bring plug-in hybrid vehicles to market soon, while the company is currently operating test fleets of its hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicles and pure-electric vehicles, called BlueOn.

Amwaj Island hosted an excellent car show at the Lagoon on August 18th. The event was set to attract cars enthusiast in a festive atmosphere for people of all ages. The car show event included games and shopping stalls for a fun day out for families.

Euro Motors were present there with four different 2011 models that attracted the crowd; BMW Z4, BMW X1, BMW 335i and a MINI Cooper in addition to four BMW Motorrad bikes.

Hyundai Sonata was awarded the Best Family Car for 2011 by Edmunds and Parents Magazine. Edmunds and Parents Magazine collaborated together to analyze which vehicles performed best for families. Sonata was chosen as the best sedan choice for families.

The 2011 Hyundai Sonata exhibited ease of family travel on numerous fronts to make

it the best sedan for families. The Sonata offers easy travel for all passengers as the seats are very comfortable and plenty of room for adults to sit in the rear seats. Car seats are easily setup and removed in the rear seats making for efficient travel of getting on the road quickly.

A number of Alzayani Investments group employees have gathered at Fun Land Entertainment Centre for a bowling tournament. The event was organized by Al-Zayani Investments. The event was a fun day for all participants and it led to a friendly competition and team spirit between the staff and their families.

Orient Motors, a subsidiary of Zayani Motors )ZM(, recently conducted a 3-day Distributor Management System )DMS( training program at the ZM showroom in Ma’ameer that was organized by China’s leading pick-up manufacturer, ZX-Auto.

The training session that ended on May 24th, 2011, was conducted by Mr. Honway Chang ZX-AUTO’s Regional Sales Manager, and Mr. Yin Wei, ZX-AUTO’s Service Manager and was attended by eight members of Orient Motors and Zayani Motors workforce. The main objective of the training session was to highlight the importance of DMS that helps perform operations in different areas of work, with a professional and streamlined approach.

“The DMS workshop was extremely successful and it is a good start for ZX-AUTO, the youngest brand under Orient Motors to depute their senior managers from China to train our competent staff on their DMS, which displays the determination to implement quality systems in order to enhance customer care. We are impressed by the dedication and commitment shown by the staff members who attended and benefited

from the program. We are devoted to encouraging our employees learn more about the up-to-date technology of the industry with our training programs all year long,” said Mr. Nawaf Al Zayani, Managing Director of Orient Motors.

The training sessions included courses on online vehicle order placements and monitoring the order status, online warranty claims, online parts ordering system, marketing and Industry information updates.

After the great success of the annual staff Ramadan Ghabga, where all employees have bonded and enjoyed their time in a great atmosphere at the Sofitel hotel, Alzayani Investments Group has awarded the event organizers.

The Young Arab Leaders has recently organized the “Step to Success“ seminar in Alzayani Investments hall in Bahrain International Circuit which was attended by more than 70 university students and fresh graduates and sponsored by 13 companies to help the students in their transition in their professional lives and increase their opportunities to find respectable jobs to start their careers.

The idea of this seminar was originally raised from the fact that employers are becoming more reluctant in hiring fresh university graduates due to the lack of skills that are needed by these

organizations. Therefore, this particular seminar was designed to help fresh graduates and students to gain the necessary skills to search for recruitment opportunities, design their CVs in an attractive way to the employers, train them for job interviews and provide them with the basic and essential skills required by employers when joining the work force.

In the end of this seminar, students had the chance to be interviewed by the sponsoring companies whom will be selecting the best candidates to get real job opportunities.
