as part of akp’s desire to test our management and commitment to quality training and development our HR Manager, Susan McEwan, has worked very hard over the past twelve months, to gain recognition within the iiP scheme.

Susan commented, “Working through the iiP accreditation process has allowed us to identify areas of the business where there is potential to improve through the development of our people.

Key areas have been identified using the iiP standard as a benchmark and a plan was implemented to facilitate the necessary internal changes.

iiP has allowed us to enhance our business through our people and having seen the positive changes this has brought, we will continue to develop through continuous improvement.”

iSo 9001:2008 Quality Management accreditation for akp

akp is pleased to announce that following a twelve month project, our quality management system has been certified to the iSo9001:2008 standard.

Martin McColl, director, said, “akp have always regarded the quality of our service as key to the success of the business. Certification by LRQa further

demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that our projects are delivered right, first time.”

Market Conditions

all at akp have responded magnificently to enhance our internal efficiency and project delivery. We have adopted various measures to benefit clients and continue to review processes to further improve our product.

We are working with design teams and Clients to maximise benefits from Project Budgets, which we acknowledge remain under strain and are likely to do so for some time yet. Our Order Book started fairly well with some interesting projects being discussed as we go to print. in short, despite difficult market conditions we continue to be in good shape and in good heart.

Building Pride

our adoption of this ethos on marketing materials and site signage, is confirmation of something that was always part of our company approach to project delivery and every other aspect of our work on behalf of clients. it has resonated very well indeed with staff and clients alike and is already becoming recognised throughout our marketplace. to paraphrase someone else’s motto- we really do what it says on the (tin) banner!
