KARE 11 crews are on the scene at 4:30 a.m. along with Principal Pierce

and Superintendent Haugen. Kim Reynolds and Jackie Brand are the first

staff to appear on the scene.

The KARE 11 Van was parked right outside the school.

Sunrise would originate from Akin Road Elementary.

PTP President Mary Treakle was featured in the first segment. Avid runner

and Meteorologist Sven Sungaard is the host for Run with KARE

Teaching staff and parents watched on during a live report. There were

about 50 people there for the events starting at 5:30 a.m.
