Akar manufactures a number of equipment and systems in the field of Wastewater Treatment Plants, one of the most complex of these is Dissolved Air Floatation System (DAF). This equipment helps reduce substantially the most difficult suspended impurities as well as to separate high quantities of highly emulsified oil from water. It is very useful for process in refineries, oil companies, vegetable oil industries, meat processing and many other industries and applications.

is a water treatment process that clarifies wastewaters (or other waters) by the removal of suspended matter such as oil or solids. The removal is achieved by dissolving air in the water or wastewater under pressure and then releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a flotation tank or basin. The released air forms tiny bubbles which adhere to the suspended matter causing the suspended matter to float to the surface of the water where it may then be removed by a skimming device.

Our Design and Manufacturing facility at Noida, designs and manufactures these systems for use in various industries and for various applications. Akar manufactures custom designed Dissolved Air Floatation Systems (DAF) for its customers. This can be designed according to capacity, area availability, incoming and outgoing water parameters etc. The advantages of Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF System) is its ability to treat a wide range of suspended solids in water at a high rate of solids removal and for wastewater sludge thickening. Millions of micron sized air bubbles in the DAF thickener float solids to the tank surface, forming a concentrated sludge blanket. A scum removal system removes the thickened scum on top, whereas sludge settles at base and is to be removed regularly.

The top bridge rotates around the tank rim once every three minutes or less. Normal tank water depth is typically 24". Theoretical rise rate of suspended solids is 10" to 12" per minute.

Considerable study and supporting information must be analyzed before deciding the best solution to any wastewater treatment problem. Akar offers these services. Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF) is an effective, economical process for treating wastewater. A DAF clarification system is comprised of three basic components:

1. Process equipment,

2. Chemical conditioning, and

3. The dissolved air or micro bubble process.

Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF) separates suspended solids in wastewater. Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF) can be round or rectangular tanks. Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF) have internal mechanical components intended to speed up the removal of the suspended solids in the wastewater. Dissolved air flotation technology compared to sedimentation clarification technology, is much more cost effective. Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF) treated water is excellent for recycling, or for discharging to the city sewer system. There may be a need for screen and an equalization tank ahead of the Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF). Coagulation mixing tanks and tube bundles are also common equipment ahead of Akar Dissolved Air Floatation System (ADAF).
