In 1996 the climber Andrej Chrastina started his experiments with creating new holds from epoxy resin and sand under the trademark a.9.

Since 2003 the trademark has been changed to AIX and these holds started to be produced on the base of polyester resin.

AIX Secure SystemAll AIX holds from the size S and bigger have AIX Secure System.There is metal spring under the washer inside the hold around the hole for bolt. This string ensures, that the most parts of hold will stay on the bolt on the wall, if the hold breaks in the reason of incorrect use or mounting.

AIX Dual WasherFrom the autumn 2013 all of AIX “bolt-on holds” will be used with Dual Washer. This metallic insert allows use of both types of bolts – cap head and countersunk bolts. Next effect of this Dual Washer is more even stress distribution inside the hold, thus increasing the force required to break the hold through the bolt.

AIX Hollow-back TechnologyWe are using the Hollow-back Technology for big AIX holds – the holds, which volume is more than 1,50 litres. This technology allows saving the material and reduces the weight of hold without the limitation of safety.If the volume of AIX hold is more than 3 litres, the hold is made from Polyurethane resin.

We decided to prepare new range of AIX holds in completely new, unusual design. Our new design is inspired by the water foam or spume. It is something between inanimate and living nature. AIX Spume design offers diverse styles of grip, sizes and shapes from positive jugs to extremely technical holds for bouldering. Each hold has been carved by hand and we spent lot of time for maximum precision of design and ergonomic of the grip.

Here we introduce the first part of the new AIX Spume range. New sets will be added in this range very soon.

AMB is huge fibreglass sphere for climbing. It can be fixed at the top or to the ground.

AMB is assembled from 8 identical parts (1 part is ⅛ of the sphere). There is possibility for using only several parts: one or two parts in the corner or 4 parts (half ball) on the wall or in the roof.

There are 43 mounting points with plane surface for holds on each part of AMB, so totally 344 mounting points on the whole AMB.

Diameter of AMB is 350 cm. Surface is 38,5 m².

modified mould for AMB.
