    Center Halloween Party Fang tastic!

Why didnt the skeleton dance at the party? He had no body to dance withha- ha-ha. Lots of smiles and screams filled the A.I.R.C.Halloween/Family night party. Even though we didnt have any skeletons dancing, we enjoyed moving our bones to spooky musicduring musical chairs. While it only took a few monsters to crack open the pumpkin piata dressed like a ghost, witches and wizardsalike dove for the candy. Our little ones fished for pumpkins whileour big ones bobbed for apples. With a steaming caldron of chili anda goblet of Goblin Goop, bellies were filled to the brim of a witcheshat. Carving pumpkins and decorating cupcakes satisfied all of ourartistic ghouls. No trick-or-treater left this party without a bag full of memories, treats, and books. Congratulations to Maria Decorah andfamily(pictured above right) for winning first place family in thecostume contest. We would like to thank all of our spooktacular

volunteers who donated time as well as treasures to our family night. We appreciate all that you do for the Center and for our kids!

A.I.R.C. Youth News Junior Youth spent the afternoonof October 21 at the Willow Springs Garden Corn Maze justnorth of Wausau. Beforebeginning the maze, the childrencouldnt pass up an arena filled

with various sizes of colorful balls, kicking and bouncing them fromhere to there. Sidetracked on the

way to the maze, Junior Youthloved jumping back and forthbetween bales of hay in a strategicgame of tag. In route to the maze, the youth stopped to see rabbitsand pet goats. Surprisingly after allthe pre-activities, Junior Youth andchaperones still energetically

    wandered an hour through the

corn maze looking for designatedstations in hopes of completing the maze. With a Titanic theme, ittook some guessing for most of us

who were not familiar the story.Regardless of not knowing all theanswers, everyone had a great timeand received a treat.

The Senior youth have been busy raising money by raking and doing yard work. This is an ongoing fundraiser that kids will dothroughout fall. There is no setprice for the service and all it takesis a donation to the youth council.

    The donation is greatly appreciated.

Central Board FundraiserOn October 20, the senior youthjoined Central Board Shop for agame of S.K.A.T.E. The youthcouncil sold walking tacos and

will donate half of their profitsCentral Board Shop towards a newramp for the skate park at Oak Island. The skate park is a placefor young people to go fine tunetheir talents, meet new friends andlearn new tricks. Sr. Youthmember Cody Knudsen (aboveright) took third place at thecompetition. We look forward to

working on future events withCentral Board Shop. We are proudof our youth for taking theinitiative to help make their
