TROPOMI Methane July 2019

TANSO-FTS Methane July 2019

Early afternoon orbits of Aura, S-NPP, and Sentinel-5P facilitate a more straightforward synergy between OMI, OMPS, and TROPOMI.

Need to pay attention to the differences of variable units and the FOVs with the methane measurements by the TROPOMI SWIR module and the TANSO-FTS.

La Soufrière Eruptions released huge volumes of SO2 and volcanic ashes.

This figure demonstrates the spreading and developing of the sulfur dioxide and volcanic dust pollution within the 120km from the crater in the first three days of the eruptions. The level 2 subset (L2S) tool was used.

MERRA-2 simulates hourly surface SO2 mass concentration, which helps to assess the

impact of volcanic eruptions to the public health.

The Level 2 Subset (L2S) tool was implemented in October 2019 for the S5P TROPOMI mission.

Data volume reduction rates by the L2S tool are over 90% for most of S5P TROPOMI L2 products.
