Introduction

You want to FIGHT, not cast buffs orheals, worry about Line-Of-Sight, Mana,position, or any of those other"weakling" considerations? Be aGladiator! All you have to do is fight,and kill before you get killed.GLORIOUS COMBAT, and HP is, forthe most part, the only bar you have toworry about!

Role as a Gladiator

Gladiator is the simplest Class in thegame. You do damage and ONLYdamage. Gladiators are arguably the bestClass at soloing, with high DPS and highHP.

You are the melee damage-dealer. Runup and cut things. This is arguably themost straightforward Class to play, noworries about "aggro management" orsubtleties of any kind. Because yourbase-Class is Warrior, you CAN takemore damage than anyone else except aTemplar, so you're a great off-Tank, justmake sure not to bite off more than youcan chew!

No need to worry about Mana, just waitfor your Special Moves to recharge!

Choosing a Race

Do you want to be an honorable warrior(Elyos) or a chaotic carnage combatant(Asmodian)? Sadly, there is no realGAMEPLAY difference between the two,unless you like to roleplay.

The Good

The GOOD news is, you're Rough,Tuff, and Buff. You can do very gooddamage, and do it consistently! Moreimportantly, you can TAKE the returnfire for a little while! You have a choicebetween Sword&Shield, Dual Swords,and Polearm. You start "Dual Wielding"as early as Level 3, but your offhand"weapon" is your FIST, and does damagethat could be politely described as"cute"! HOWEVER, the higher Levelyou get, the more often you'll USE thatoffhand!

Your character is even smart enough toclose the distance before trying to attackwhen you just press the button! No more,"You are out of range"! In a related note,Polearms have a longer range than otherweapons in this game, which makes it

more "realistic"...If you care about realismin a game about flying warriors?

You can do FANTASTIC damage toONE enemy, or impressive damage tomultiple smaller enemies. You areamazing in PVE against NORMALmonsters! Since the game ONLY rewardsKILLS, not TAKING damage, you'llALWAYS be needed on a team!

You have the second highest HP pool inthe game, second only to Templars, yourDefense-oriented brethren!

The Bad

Your simplicity is matched by a lack ofversatility: You are a MELEE fighter, andONLY a MELEE fighter. Enemies withSpells or range capabilities at all, can pickyou off before you can hit them at ALL, orat least do you some severe damage!

As I said earlier, you'll slog throughnormal monsters, BUT you cannot handleBosses as well as a Templar or Assassincan. Still, DPS=kills, so you'll always beneeded for parties!

You are offense, not defense, andGLADIATORS CANNOT SELF-HEAL!Pack lots of Bandages and/or "LifePotions"!




You have no real crowd-control,except that SOME of your SpecialMoves have a CHANCE for knockdown,which is unreliable at best. Moreimportantly, the only way you candisrupt enemy Special Moves is by eitherHOPING your hits interrupt them, or elsesave your OWN Special Moves just tointerrupt theirs, which will REALLYinterfere with YOUR DPS! And DPS isall a Gladiator IS, really!

You have NO REAL RANGEDATTACKS! You cannot pull! If you seea group of multiple AGGRO monsters,make sure you can take'em all beforeattacking--or find a teammate with rangeattacks...

Differences BetweenElyos and Asmodian

Elyos starts in a verdant forest and killanimals. Their armor is bright and shiny.

Asmodian starts in a desert wasteland.Their armor is dark and foreboding.

It's all cosmetic differences, really.Whichever side you choose to work for,you will kick ass, and eventually, kickthe asses of the other side's warriors aswell!

I have noticed a lot more people play asAsmodians than Elyos. When asked thereasons, they were almost uniformly:-Black Wings are "cooler" than whitewings -The comic and Collector's Editioncreates a ton of bias against Elyos; neverunderstood why they didn't make it bothsides. Reminds me of World of Warcraftwhere a majority of players believed theHorde was the "Evil" faction, due to canonfrom the RTS's (when in fact, the Allianceare a bit more elitist than the Horde, and inWOW, the Horde are downright NobleSavages!) -Claws are "cool" -Red eyesGLOW when in combat -Dark skin is"cool"

So basically, it's the DarkAngel/Underdog mythos they're going for.

I preferred Pandemonium to Sanctum,the Broker and crafting guilds being rightnext to each other, and I can't fall offPandemonium like I did 20 times inSanctum!

I preferred Altgard over Verteron,because Kralls are super gay. Onlyadvantage Verteron has is that its a loteasier to skill up gathering sinceeverything is tightly-packed and in order,while many things are spread out inAltgard and need to huntaround/backtrack. The solo Quests areeasier in Verteron, making it easier toLevel up until you need to fight Bosses,but the group quests are by far easier for




Altgard. Since this is an MMO, though,expect this to reverse anytime in thename of "Balance"!




Combat Strategy

Just charge into battle! If there is aTemplar, let HIM charge first, but still,use your forward momentum to boostyour first attack or 2. Remember AION'SPositional System: Charging aheadincreases attack and lowers Defensetemporarily, pulling back does exactlythe opposite. The running your char doesAUTOMATICALLY when you target anenemy and hit an attack button DOEScount for that Positional System! Useyour Special Moves, ESPECIALLYChain Moves! If you use a successfulChain, you can turn a losing battlearound, or turn a close battle into an easywin--Plus, Chain moves look cool!

Remember to Rest (Default buttoncomma) between battles to regain yourHP. WARRIORS/GLADIATORSCANNOT SELF-HEAL! Bandages andLife Potions are a lifesaver--literally!




Gladiatorcharacteristic

Gladiators are just that: Fighting forpower and glory. No subtlety, you don'thave to care about getting behind theenemy, or scanning for weaknesses, nocasting Spells or heals, just run in andkill!

Basic Attributes

Warrior Base Stats

Strength: 110

Constitution: 110

Agility: 100

Accuracy: 100

Intelligence: 90

Spirit: 90

Available Weapons

Currently the most popular weapon forGladiators is the Polearm, due to highestdamage and longer reach! Reach out andcrush someone that THINKS they're out ofmelee range!

Available Armor

Warriors equip Chainmail Armor beforeSpecialization, after which they switch toplate Armor. Shields in Aion do not add toDefense STATS, but are used instead forShield blocks (% based) and Shield Skills.

Enchantment Stones

With special tools from the GeneralStores, you can break down MOSTweapons and Armors into EnchantmentStones. Sometimes, you get one in thewild, or from a Quest. No matter what, theoperation of them is the same: Use one,then click on the Armor or weapon to beimproved.

- If successful, it ADDS one to theEnchantment Level of the item.




- If it fails, it SUBTRACTS one fromthe Enchantment Level of the item.

- Enchantment Level can never gobelow zero (Luckily!)

- If the Level of the EnchantmentStone is less than the Level of the item tobe Enchanted, it will ALWAYS fail!

Class Features

The Gladiator Class, in case I was toosubtle about it before, brings raw muscle,and plenty of it. Noone beats a Gladiatorfor SUSTAINED DPS. Assassins mayhave higher BURST damage, but a lot oftheir Skills require you to be behind theenemy, while only a few Gladiator Skillscare about the enemy position, and eventhen, it's whether the enemy is knockeddown or not. I repeat, it cares about theENEMY'S position, not your position inrelation to the enemy! Much simpler thatway. Since you are going toe-to-toe, youdon't have to worry about distance orLine-Of-Sight to your enemy, as yourcharacter will make a beeline for yourtarget upon tapping an attack button!You don't have to worry about whetheryour enemy is above or below you,unless a cliff makes them functionallyinaccessible to you. (DO NOT jump off a

cliff chasing an enemy, and conversely,you can't jump most cliffs, so you'll haveto find a way up to your enemy if they'resniping you from On High!)




Leveling

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR BOTHSIDES: I put this in the actualwalkthrough below, but I think I wastoo subtle about it. If you are Level 9already, do the Ascension ASAP. Youcan't rise above Level 9, no matterhow much you kill, or how manyQuests you do, the game will keep youone point below Levelling to 10. so it'llall be wasted!

Levels 1-10

Prologue

You start out Dazed&Confused after theintro. This is the first game I've playedwhere the intro is PART OF THE GAME,rather than just showing off the graphics.Apparently, the battle you just witnessedwas an hallucination on your character'spart. Your buddy is nearby, worried aboutyou, and covering for your apparentfainting spell and hallucination. Talking tohim IS the Prologue Quest, and arguablythe easiest Quest in any game: Watchingthe intro completed it!

You can just run around and killmonsters, or you can start on the Quests.Oddly, there are two different sets ofQuests, "Campaign Quests" and normalQuests. There is no difference from thePLAYER perspective, but CampaignQuests have better rewards, and GOLDicons over the NPCs' heads, rather than theazure one ones of the normal Quests!

Sleeping on the Job

Your buddy sends you to Captain Elpas.Apparently, you're part of a mercenaryunit, sent to this backwater to regaincontrol and maintain the peace.

Kerubar Hunt

You start out with a fairly standard "Killthe Rampaging Striped Kerubs" Quest, but




Something Must've Stirred ThemUp(TM) No points for originality, but agreat intro to fighting, and a REASON tofight, if you haven't started already.Kerubs are this game's Goblins, theeasiest enemies, that look like anunfortunate crossbreed between cavemenand hamsters. Kill them and report backto your Captain.

Grain Thieves

Not surprisingly, the townsfolk havecome up with a reason NOT to pay: Theywant back the grain the Kerubs stole! Forhamster-cavemen, they're surprisinglyintelligent, stealing the whole sacks ofgrain, rather then chewing them open andeating them on the spot! To thenorthwest, there are 3 mud igloos with anNPC soldier in between them. There aresome tougher versions of Kerubs "KerubFighters" popping out of the igloos atrandom intervals, but your goal is to pickup the burlap sacks. The NPC will"handle" the Kerub Fighters, BUT if youwant to, you can help. The good news is,the Kerub Fighters will attack the NPCinstead of you, AND you'll getessentially "free" EXP based on theproportions of damage YOU do vs. thedamage HE causes! BUT, since you arecounted as "killstealing" FROM ANNPC, you will get no loot nor moneyfrom the kills, just EXP!

Report to Polina

Captain Elpas is pleased, and sends youto report to the woman who hired yourband of mercenaries. Polinas is in AkariosVillage, the town to the north. Just followthe dirt path. While you're in the Village,pick up the other Quests. Look for the bigV's over the NPCs' heads, whether azureor gold.

Since you should only be Level 2 yet,the only other Quests you can pick up intown is "Snuffler Headache" and"Collecting Aria"

Snuffler Headache

Snufflers--Pigs--have been tearing upthe farm, so they want you to snuff theSnufflers. Good thing you're such anamazing Gladiator, huh? Kill'em fast!

Collecting Aria

If you haven't been collecting them allalong, this will introduce you to theGathering system in this game. Look forwheat-like weeds with a psychidelic pinkcolor and bulbous roots, and double-clickthem. Wait for it to finish...And wait for itto respawn, since you'll be competing withother players, ALSO farming Aria,whether for the Quest or for EXP/money.

Run back and turn THOSE Quests in tohit Level 3, and get MORE Questsavailable!

A New Skill




The GAME ITSELF assigns you thisQuest upon hitting Level 3. Find aTrainer, and talk to him to complete theQuest. He tells you to buy Skill Bookswhen you Level up, so you can USE coolnew moves and attacks! Take him up onit, and buy Robust Blow. Robust Blow isyour first Chain Attack, when yourFerocious Blow lands, you have 3seconds to play Robust Blow in rapidsuccession. Robust Blow--and all ChainAttacks--will NOT show up on yourPower Bar, UNTIL you use the onedirectly previous in the Chain, at whichpoint, it will replace its predecessor. Hitthe same button repeatedly to run the fullChain!

Helping Kales

A farmer named Kales wants you totake a sack of grain to turn into ediblefood via Uno, the Village Cook. Asimple FedEx Quest.

Uno's Ingredients

While you're there, Uno has somethingHE wants you to do too! Kill somemutated storks called Airon, and bringback their meat--for a cooking-contest, ofcourse! Hey, you're a Gladiator, killing'sjust what you do! While killing theAiron--or the Brax (Big, buffalo-likemonsters), you may come across an AxeHandle. Take it, and right-click it to starta "secret" Quest!

The Lost Axe

Take the Axe Handle back to Namus,who is in the mountain-pass to thenortheast. He'll thank you and give you abit of money and EXP!

The Kerub Threat

A lone Mercenary named Muranes at thecrossroads between Ciona Lake andAkarios Village says they're under attackby Kerubs again. These Kerubs are calledSmall Horn Kerubs, and they're not muchharder than the Kerubs you beat in"Kerubar Hunt" (See above) Kerubs areHumanoid Monsters, and therefore, veryprofitable to kill, even if you didn't have aQuest to kill them! (That's a hint: Theycarry raw MONEY, not junk you have tosell, although you should do both!) Whenyou report back, she tells you that theKerubs are stepping up their game, andnow you must kill 5 Big Foot Kerubs, andbring back their fangs as proof (Due tolower than 100% droprate, you may haveto kill MORE than just 5, but again, it'sKilling for Fun And Profit!(TM)) Big FootKerubs only have more HP than the SmallHorn version, so they should still be EasySlice--literally! Oddly, for all your (andthe other players') massacring of thesethings, they're STILL not aggro, you cankill them one at a time at your leisure.Report back to her, and she'll be pleased,telling you to visit Captain Kalion back inAkarios Village for your reward.




In addition to the "normal" EXP andmoney, this time, you get new shoes!Choose the Chainmail ones, and accept.

Abandoned Goods

The Merchants here look like weaselsfor good reason: This one wants you to"salvage" some wine--secretly--from thefarm that's still being ravaged by Kerubs.The wine is in bottles, which are hiddenin barrels. Just like the earlier burlapsacks in the "Grain Thieves" Quest,essentially!

You'll now be Level 4, and MOREQuests will open up!

To Fish In Peace

While on the lake, you'll meet an NPCnamed Feira. She is upset that themonsters are scaring away the fish. FiveBrax (The buffalo monsters), and fiveSlinks (Two-tailed lizards). Gladiatorsare literally MADE for killing, so go toit!

A Book for Namus

Namus is more than a merelumberjack, he fancies himself quite thescholar. He wants a new book. This is asimple FedEx Quest, and easy enough todo for him.

Request of the Elim

Halfway between Ciona Lake andDaminu Forest, you'll find Ampeis. Hehas a "request" for you. He wants you

to...Go talk to Forest Protector Noah.Forest Protector Noah is the humanoid tree(Treant or Ent, whichever you want to callthem) next to Namus. He gives you aMagic Flute, and tells you to wake up twoOTHER walking trees! The first sleepingugly is due south of the Daminu Forest,along the southern wall. Just doubleclickon the sleeping brute to play the flute andwake it with a toot! The second one is ashort distance northwest. Luckily, nothingaround here is aggro yet! Then you goback to Forest Protector Noah, and givehim back the Magic Flute. After a shortcutscene, showing you "The Forest'sPain", he'll ask you to kill some Dukakis,and bring back their Kobold axes as proof.(Were Dukakis called Kobolds in anearlier Build of this game? The namedifference is jarring/confusing...)

This is a dangerous Kill Quest, sinceDukakis ARE Aggro. They'll attack youon sight, assuming (correctly) that you'rethere to stop their logging operation! Makesure you fully heal between fights! Still,Dukakis are Humanoid Monsters, andeven MORE profitable than Kerubs, so it'ssort of a Risk-Reward calculation, whichones you want to kill to farm upmoney/EXP. Once you have their KoboldAxes (No, you can't wield them), bringthem back to Forest Protector Noah, whowill send you to Daminu. Daminu is alarge and ancient Treant, who will showyou a little of your past in a cutscene, and




once you're done with that, he'll send youback to Captain Kallion in AkariosVillage.

In addition to your usual money andEXP reward, you get to choose aWEAPON! Choose the Sword, and hitAccept. You'll also get a new Title, "TreeHugger"!

Insomnia Medicine

Namus is suffering insomnia, with allthe monsters, and impending doom andso on. He needs you to cut down someSylphen (Mutant dragonflies, with anEXTRA quartet of wings on the tail), sohe can make a cure for himself. Thekilling part is easy as always, but once hemakes the cure, he doesn't like the taste,so he asks you to take it to Uno instead,to disguise the taste. Have Uno mix itwith the Fruit Juice when he asks, so thatthe taste can be better disguised, ratherthan the soup. Then take the spiked"juice" to Namus, so he can get somesleep.

Mushroom Thief

While traversing the mountain pass,you'll come across an ambitiousmercenary called Ampeis, who of course,has HIS own side-business! He's beencollecting and selling mushrooms, butneeds you to eliminate the competition.Luckily, the "competition" he speaks ofare pigs--literally! BellePigs, to be

precise. You're a killing machine, so gobutcher the pigs, and report back. He'llgive you some...ROASTED PIG as areward. It's more than it sounds, as eatingit boosts your Physical Attack!

No Entry

This is a big, long Quest that you won'tbe able to FINISH until Level 9 or evensolid 10, due to the difficult monsters, butyou GET it now. How's that forunreasonable expectations? Talk toMercenary Captain Kalion to receive thisQuest. Visit Malponeh's Campsite and talkto Oz. Talk to Pernos near the AgaricSpore Road. Up to about here, you can donow, but the later parts, you should waiton.

Discuss the "situation" with Poa near theTimolia Mine.

Find and talk to Ino within the TimoliaMine. He's been jailed by the enemies.You don't even get to spring him(Primarily because if you did, otherplayers couldn't get this Quest...Anotherexample of NPCs glued to their spot!)

This is where the "Hard enemies" partcomes in, the Dukakis in THIS area areLevel 9 and up, AND Aggro to boot!

Destroy the 3 Power Generators (Green,Blue, Purple) and then the Abyss Gateitself. The Generators are guarded by moreDukaki than I've ever seen in one place,make sure to have teammates, or go when




there are other players there. Lettingthem killsteal you will save your life!Even then, pack PLENTY of Potions andBandages! By Level 9 or 10, you can getbetter Potions off enemy corpses than thestores here will sell you.

Report your success to MercenaryCaptain Kalion. You'll get your choicebetween three Chest Armors, pick theChainmail one! You'll get a shortcutscene where you are praised as theProtector of Poeta--AND you get a Titlefor it to boot!

After doing those first 3 Quests, and getting as far as you can on the fourth, you'll hit Level 5, which entitles you to "The Elim's Message" Level 5 opens up 2 new Skills, Weakening Severe Blow, and Boost HP. Weakening Severe Blow should be your new opener, as it lowers enemy Physical Resistance for 5 seconds, so you can hit with your Ferocious Blow and Robust Blow. More importantly, it lowers the ENEMY'S Physical Resistance, so that your whole PARTY gets bonus damage--at least the PHYSICAL attackers...Mages will just have to lump it! Boost HP is a Passive boost not only to MaxHP, but more importantly, to HP Regeneration! You'll have MORE Health, and Regen quicker between fights. Since it is PASSIVE and always on, get it, it's a must-have for survival as a Warrior, and later as a

Gladiator!

The Elim's Message

Forest Protector Noah will ask you topass on a message, but the message isincomprehensible--and for these people,that's saying something! So the game will"gently suggest" you go to Feira, aPriestess at Cliona Lake (Where you werehunting the Airon earlier) She, in turn, willtell you to talk to the Priest in AkariosVillage. He will take the message to hissuperiors, and you get your reward!

Now you have to wait until Level 6 toget any more Quests...You should benearly there just from the long FedExQuest from before. Once you hit Level 6, aLOT of new Quests open up!

Light Up The Night

Pranoa wants a night-light--and wantsYOU to get it for him! Kill Adult Sparkies(The mutant fireflies) in the mountainpass, and collect Luciferin, the substancethat makes them glow. As far as damagethey inflict on you, Sparkies are arguablythe EASIEST enemies, so this should beeven easier than your previous kill-Quests!After collecting your reward, go back toAkarion Village. The Priest in the bigbuilding in the center of town, wants yourhelp for...

Polinia's Ointment

Melponeh is a poor Historian in a distant Campsite. He's been bitten by Worgs, the




wound got infected, and he may diewithout this ointment! You are thechosen...chosen messenger-boy, at least.But it's a fairly easy Quest, IF you canavoid the monsters along the way. Thisarea is the first place you'll encounterAGGRO monsters--not just Social, theseones actually attack WITHOUTprovocation! Luckily, they're highlightedas red dots on your minimap/radar in thecorner. Worgs are a nasty crossbreed ofsharks&wolves, while Dukakis LOOKlike Kerubs, but they carry actualweapons! Afterward, head back towardthe pass, and Lonian will have a new jobfor you!

A Taste of Namus's Medicine

Namus had agreed to make medicinefor Lonian, but hasn't gotten around to it.So Lonian needs you to go to Namus andremind him. Once you reach Namus,he'll be upset about the ungratefulLonian, but he'll make SOMETHING forhim--not the promised medicine, butsomething nasty-tasting enough to BEmedicine! Take it back to Lonian. Lonianwill take one swig, and decide he doesn'tNEED the medicine after all! But he'llstill pay YOU, and that's the importantpart, after all, isn't it?

Thinning out the Worgs

Sometimes this Quest is availableBEFORE Namus's Medicine, but whetherit is or not, it's better to have moreexperience, more money, and thus moreLife Potions and Bandages in your belt,before trying this one. Tula, the de factoleader of Melponeh's campsite, saysthey're being raided by Worgs, and theywant you to kill a few off. This is probablygoing to be your hardest kill-Quest yet,since you have to try to kill only ONE at atime, and the others, if they see you, WILLattack...Also, try to AVOID Dukakis!

Pernos's Robe

Mune--the Armor Dealer in AkariosVillage--has a job for you! She wants youto get her some wool, from Apexes.Apexes are the goat-like monsters in themountain pass you've been up and downseveral times now. The catch is, Apexesare your first Social Monsters. If youattack one, any nearby will join the fight.Be VERY careful not to bite off more thanyou can chew here! You still don't haveyour AOE attacks! When you return, shegives you a partial reward, but the secondpart of the Quest is MUCH harder. Youdon't get it until Level 7

Ancient Cube

Sounds like the Horadric Cube, doesn'tit? Baevrunerk, the other weaselshopkeeper in Akarios Village, has a jobfor you to find the Cube he lost. This Cubeis embedded in a pile of junk in the




Kabarah Strip Mine, in the "alcove"above the h in "Kabarah" on your map. Iwould wait on this Quest too, as Dukakisare aggro, and there are a lot of themmilling about, and some even on "patrol"for annoying players--like you!

Once you get it, bring him the Cube forsome money, some EXP, andSUPPOSEDLY a discount on expandingYOUR Cube (Gives you another row ofinventory slots. Worth it in thelong-term.) I cannot confirm the latter,since I had already bought the expansionat full price.

Delivering Perno's Robe

Mune, of all people, needs your help again (See Pernos's Robe Quest, above.) She offended Pernos, and now she needs you to get an Ornament to mollify him! You have your choice of 3 Ornaments. Scar's Fang, an Apex Horn, or Brax Hoof (The buffalo monsters, remember?). Like Final Fantasy 7, the better ingredient you fetch, the better reward you get! I chose to get Scar's Fang, the hardest of them. Scar is a Boss Worg. Worgs themselves are nasty beasts, aggressive, PLUS they look and act like the most dangerous parts of a wolf and shark put together, but Scar is bigger, tougher, meaner, and has a DOT Special to use on you. Rage is a MUST-HAVE, to shield yourself from his direct attacks, so you can SURVIVE his DOT! I recommend not tackling him

until you're Level 9 if solo, but if you havereliable teammates, you can take him onearlier... An Apex Horn should be a fairlyeasy kill for you, since you already killed anumber of them just to MAKE the Robe inthe first place...BUT the reward will becommesurately less! You'll get 2 "SecretElixir of Life". Wow...More healingpotions! A Brax Hoof is the easiest task,but also the worst reward, because by now,Braxes should be target-practice for you!HOWEVER, because it is so low quality,Perno will be "offended" AGAIN, andgive you crap rewards as a retaliation.

Illegal Logging

Oz needs a strong killing arm to stop theDukaki Kobolds from ruining the forest.So he sends you first to...The KabarahStrip Mine! Kill any 12 Dukakis, thenreport your success back to Oz

Find and kill 3 Tursin Outlaws. (Thebigger, more musclebound enemies!)

Report back to Oz, get paid, and yourchoice of Boots! Since you're a Warrior,pick the Chain Boots!

Nymph's Gown

If you kill enough in this area, you'll finda Diary. Read it. It's Namus's! He talksabout this Nymph he sees bathing in thepool. Take the Diary to Namus. He'llnervously ask if you read it. Answertruthfully (I.e., "Yes, I read it.") He'll saythat the only way to get that nymph's




attention is to steal her gown, andprevent her return to heaven. (This isderived from Japanese "Tenno"Mythology) The pool in question isstraight north of Damina Forest. Hidebehind the big tree and wait for fullnightfall. The Nymph will suddenlymaterialize, and her clothes willmaterialize on the rock in front of thepool. Grab the gown and RUN AWAY!She can oneshot you, and will, if youdon't get out of range...

Sadly, she's NOT naked in the pool!Apparently, people bathe with theirclothes on?

Bring the gown to Namus, and he'llpay you for it--literally! "Easy" money, ifyou discount the chance of an instantdeath!

Neutralization

Tula wants to find out just WHAT the Kobolds are refining in their Cauldron. So she sends YOU to collect a sample! The Cauldron in question is at the r in "Strip" of Kabarah Strip Mine. Once you got a sample, bring it to Pernos, the haughty wizard from Pernos's Robe. He'll send you to collect 3 Spores from Spore Shade Fungus (The big, aggro mushrooms that seem to be wearing a fishing net as a cape!) Since this is a LOOT task, not a KILL task, you'll probably need to kill more than 3. Bring the Spores back to Pernos. BE

CAREFUL! The Spore Shade Fungi canturn YOU into a mushroom temporarily!Pernos will mix you up a vial to sabotagetheir refining process. Run back to theCauldron and dump it in. (Personally, Iwondered why you couldn't just knockover the Cauldron, but that's NOT howthis game works!) Run back to Tula andtell her what happened. You'll get paid,plus Leg Armor of your choice. Choosethe Chain Greaves, because you're aWarrior!

Oz's Prayer Beads

Oz lost his marbles--or at least hisPrayer Beads, which LOOK like marbles!Sparkies carried them away! So you haveto kill the Sparkies up and down the roadbetween Melponeh's Campsite and AgaricSpore Road, until you collect 3 PrayerBeads. Marvel how much they look likemarbles, and then hand them back to Oz.He'll pay you for your trouble--andbesides, you got to kill things!

[Collection] Tula's Music BoxTula needs Iron to fix her Music Box.

What does that have to do with you? Shewants YOU to get the Iron Ore for her!Iron Ore is up in the Kabarah Strip Mine.You need to harvest 7 Iron Ores, and bringthem back to Tula. Tula can't afford to payyou, but she gives you a good EXP bonus,AND your choice of weapons, Sword orMace. Doesn't matter which one youchoose, they're both One-Handed, so




unless you're using the Tanking Build,you'll just get one of those and sell it.

Mushroom Research

Melponeh needs some Mushroomstoo--To RESEARCH, rather than to mixa potion. Kill as many Fearless Fungys(Non-aggro little baby Mushrooms thatbounce around and look like escapeesfrom Fantasia or Super Mario) asnecessary to collect 5 Mushroom Hearts.It'll be more than 5. Bring the Heartsback to Melponeh to get paid.

Where's Tutty?

Pernos lost his prize pet pig. Hesuspects it ran into the Kabarah StripMine. He wants YOU to get it. Tutty,sadly, is turning slowly on a spit. Thespit is north of the K in Kabarah on yourmap. Kill all the guards, then doubleclickthe spit to watch a short cutscene,admiring the cooking process, I guess?Return to Pernos with the bad news. HeSTILL pays you, and gives you 2 ManaPotions to boot! I recommend trading theMana Potions to another player to getsome more Life Potions!

Avenging Tutty

casting some magical unpleasantness onthem! Head to the middle of Kabarah StripMine, and kill Dukaki Brawlers andDukaki Vigilantes until you collect 5 oftheir spoons as "proof" (Again, more than5 total) Bring'em back to Pernos, andyou'll get paid, PLUS 2 Life Potions,PLUS the Title Animal Lover!

Suspicious Ore

This is more dangerous, as it takes placein the Timolia Mines, and the start of theKrall--which will be your most hatedenemy for the next 12 Levels--have theirenforcers there. Poa is a mercenary nearthe entry of Timolia Mine, and wants youto investigate some strange Ore aroundhere. Grab 6 crates of Suspicious Ore andbring it back to Poa to get paid. (Youshould be getting close to 10 now, so youmight not want to turn it in until you finishAscension)

Scouting Timolia Mine

Poa wants you to get in gear--or at least,COLLECT gears! Kill TursinLoudmouths, Dukaki Patrols, and DukakiThugs. SOME of them will carry EngineParts (Gears) for you. Collect 5 and givethem to Poa. He'll give you the SentinelHat, and a burst of EXP. (You should begetting close to 10 now, so you might notwant to turn it in until you finishAscension)

Bringthe water to Daminu and he'll drink itand drop a Magic Fruit. Bring the Fruitto Pernos. He'll send you to the Abyss inyour mind. Walk up, talk to theLieutenant, then jump off the half-bridge.After a wild, swooping, sweeping,tumbling flight, you'll land on a differentfloating island and get attacked by 4enemies at once. Oddly, you don't getany new powers, despite being alegendary version of yourself. Trash yourassailants, then you'll get attacked by asnake-creature called Orissa. Just as youstart getting the upper hand, the gameswitched to a cutscene of Orissabouncing you off every flat surface in thegameworld, and finally breaking youTHROUGH the ground, where you wakeup back in the "real" world. talk toPernos about your wild experiences, andyou get to choose your Class. Hopefully,you'll choose Gladiator, since this is theGladiator Class Guide!

Daeva Ceremony

Turn in all your Quests, finish all yourunfinished business, then talk to Pernosagain. He'll teleport you to Sanctum, theElyos City-In-The-Sky! Talk to Leah, thenJucleas, and watch your graduationceremony cutscene. Meet with the ClassPreceptor to pick a "Graduation Present"Choose either Spear of Prophecy orGreatsword of Oracle. You are now afull-fledged Daeva!

Ring Imbued With Aether

Perikles offers you a ring, or a Ringimbued with the power of Aether! Choosethe Ring imbued with Aether. (If youchoose the normal ring, it's not onlyuseless, but doesn't even sell for much.Take THAT, greedy!) You have to talk toa laundry-list of people to get the ringfully imbued. "Let Our Powers Combine!"

- Talk to Mikero.

- Then Bellasia.

- Meet up with Alcmene next.

- Have a few words with Demodocos.

- Finally Vatonia to finish the quest.




You get the Ring of Aether, a fairlyheft Magic Resist for a Level 10 item!

Language Potion

If you explore the stairs down justsouth of the Hall of Prospectors (TheWEST stairs, at least), you'll discover itleads to a loading/unloading dock!There's a stereotypical scientist in frontof a cage with an angry Krall inside. Bewarned, hers is a long Quest, but worth itfor story and an extra Title! Oddly, thequest begins with Fuschia, in theLibrary! She'll mention there's a Potionthat can teach you Krall Languageinstantly! Kunberunerk "may knowsomething about it". If you can catchKunberunerk on the docks (He's aslippery little weasel--almost literally, asShugo are the Weasel-people "race" inAion!), he'll offer you a choice:

- Pay 10K Gold (Quest ends, "easy"way out, if you don't think how muchgrinding that much money represents,and what ELSE you could do with thatmony, especially buying expansions toyour Cube!)

- Argue that you don't have that muchmoney.

Once you choose either one, you can'tgo back and choose the other, so becareful! If you choose to haggle, he'llgive it to you in exchange for a "simple"favor. He tells you to go ask Mapikerk

how the engines are coming. (Youhalf-expect a Star Trek joke here, but thewriters surprisingly stayed in-character!)Mapikerk says he needs Odium for thepower generator, and sent ANOTHERShugo, Gaphyrk, to go get it fromManiparas. Gaphyrk has disappeared!Maniparas says the last he saw, Gaphyrkwas going into the mines to get Odium,and he never came back. If you can, sneakor cut a swath into the Mines, until youfind him--he's literally a prisoner for love!He's fallen in love with a Dukaki--Oh, theshame! More relevantly, though, he nolonger cares about the Odium, and gives itup, as well as telling off you andMapikerk! Mapikerk doesn't appreciate therudeness of the little ingrate, but at leastsends you back to Kunberunerk and tellshim to give you the Potion. Kunberunerkacts as if he's doing you a big favor by justGIVING you the Potion (A longmessenger-boy Quest, not exactlyGIVING, but at least less than 10K!) Talkto the Scientist, Marmeia, who will beOVERJOYED about youVOLUNTEERING to try the Potion.(There's an ironic twist for you!) She'llgive you the Potion. Drink it to begin thesecond Quest in the same place!

Ulaguru Speaks

Once you finished Language Potion (Directly above), talk to Marmeia (the scientist) again, then talk to the Krall in




the cage. The Potion will "tune in" andyou'll be able to understand! Talk toMarmeia and she'll pay you, overjoyedthat her invention WORKS!

Material Necessary for a New Book

Marmeia wants to write a new bookabout the cult of the Dukaki Kobolds.She needs you to take two of the DukakiAmulets. They have an INCREDIBLYlow droprate, so you'll have to slaughterhalf the Dukaki Mine (inVeteron)--repeatedly--to get them! Still,it's not all bad, as Dukakis are GREAT tofarm for EXP and money. (And later, justmoney!) Bring back the 2 Amulets to herto get paid.

Seed of Evil

Xenophon is concerned about theincreased activity of the LopharistRevolutionaries in Verteron. Go downthere and get a Crest from them--By AnyMeans Necessary! Bring the Crest backfor your rewards.

A Lingering Mystery

Seirenia complains that the last time she went to Poeta, someone stole her clothes! (Turns out that Nymph from A Nymph's Feathered Gown wasn't so supernatural after all! She sends you to go to Poeta and discover the identity of the thief. Talk to Namus and try to get him to fess up. Then go back to Seirenia, and either fess up to YOUR part in it or

not.

An Axe For Namus

If you were honest, Seirenia will havethought it was so romantic that someonewould steal her clothes for love, andobligingly fall in love with him.(Apparently, BEFORE Sexual Harassmentwas invented, stalking is a form of love?)She commissioned an Axe for him fromAnteros, but a family emergency preventsher from taking delivery personally, so shehas YOU do it instead! Anteros issurprised that such a fine weapon is meantfor a HUMAN! Bring Seirenia the Axe toget paid.

Undelivered Armor

Hyacinte ordered new Armor, but nevergot it. So she tasks YOU to find out whatthe hold-up is! (Typo Alert: The man youneed to talk to is called Gaurinerk in oneplace, and Garunyerk in another.Gaurinerk is correct.) Talk to Gaurinerk,who will pass the buck to Nadaelo.

Honest Merchant

Nadaelo reveals they've been sendinghim substandard parts and expecting himto make good Armor out of it--The horror!In order to PROVE the accusation, though,she wants YOU to bring in healthyversions of the materials. Hunt Sharp HornStarCrabs and Swamp StarTurtles toobtain the materials for making armor,namely 6 StarCrab Carapaces and 5




StarTurtle Shells, and bring them toHyacinte. StarTurtles are slightlytougher, but only by dint of BEINGbetter Armor. You will probably have tokill more than just 6/5 respectively, sincethis is a LOOT Quest, not a straight hunt.When you succeed, bring the "evidence"to Hyacinte, who will realize Nadaelowas telling the truth. In gratitude forNadaelo's honesty, she agrees to contractstraight through him from now on. Youget your normal rewards, PLUS 3 LesserShock Alleviation Scrolls (Temporaryshields that will take damage instead ofyou)

Lobnite Hunt

Kinesos says that Lobnites aredisrupting the local scallop trade. Hewants you to kill 10 of them to get himsome breathing room to fish. You get thenormal rewards, PLUS 3 Mana Potionswhen you win! Spiral Lobnites are fairlyeasy enemies, as far as THEIR damageoutput against you, but the shell makesthem hard to kill.

Polluted Fountainhead

Adelia says that an abundance ofanimals are polluting the waters aroundVerteron Citadel. She wants you to kill10 Brown Beak Airons (Stork-monsters;Tougher versions of your old "friends" inCiona Lake.) and 10 Swamp Slinks(Two-tailed snake-monsters, alsoamped-up versions of the ones in Ciona

Lake.) to "restore balance" Primitiveeco-activism, with a violent twist! Whenyou win, she gives you 100 Lesser PowerShards in addition to your normal rewards.Power Shards are slotted just below yourHelmet, and when activated with the Bkey, they add an extra zap to yourattacks--literally--but each swingconsumes one Power Shard, so 100 isn't asgenerous as it sounds!

Guardian Tog

If you walk around in the "safe" (As innothing is aggro) zone just outsideVerteron Citadel, you'll see a TOG! Beforeyou rush heroically to kill it, talk to it! Itsname is Gaione, and it was formerly oneof the Citadel's guards. HOWEVER, hefell asleep at his post, and he was turnedinto a Tog. The only way he can getreprieve is if he catches 9,000 MudPotCrabs. (That's right, the PotCrabs areover 9,000!) Being a Gladiator, you caneasily "catch" them with extremeprejudice. Mud PotCrabs are the weakestmonsters in this area, although they DOhave a nasty "Special" that can really hurtyou if you don't Block, Parry, or Interruptit. Interruption is preferable, but requires asuperhuman/supernatural sense of timing!If you beat these things as part of a party,they will get few to no shots off! Whenyou win, you get 2 Life Potions in additionto the standard rewards.

Gaione (From Guardian Tog above)"hates" to ask your help again--but hedoes anyways. He wants you to catchMORE Mud Potcrabs! He only needs 9this time. Easy kills, easy rewards, PLUSeverytime you finish, he gives you 1extra Life Potion! This Quest isrepeatable up to 100 times!

Decorative Weapons

Ivis needs you to grab Crystals out ofthe icy water for him to make intoweapons. This is an easy grab Quest, andyou don't even HAVE to killanything--but you should anyways, forEXP! Get this at the same time you getthe other Quests in this area.

Ancient Lobnite Fossil

Spiros wants a Lobnite FOSSIL tostudy. This is a grab Quest, and onlyONE thing to grab, rather than a numberof'em, but it's still one of the harder onesto find. As you run around Verteron,you'll see what looks like "shelves" in therock cliff. The Fossil is stuck to theWALL, not the shelves, and you're goingto have to fly to get up there. Then standon one of the shelves to recharge yourwings, and grab the Fossil!

Danger Overhead

Kairon is worried that spores comingthrough the Portal will kill everyone. Sohe tasks YOU to slash them out of thesky. This is an excellent tutorial on aerial

combat, but remember, flight-time ISlimited! You can usually kill 2 Spores perflight, then land on any horizontal surfaceto recharge your wings. After finishing,Kairon gives you some times thatironically, would've REALLY helped onthis Quest! 4 Wind Potions keep you aloftlonger once you get that message thatyou're almost out of flight-time, and Bookof Flight: Boost Physical Attack lets youhit harder while FLYING, not whileGLIDING!

Killing Lepharist Revolutionaries

Abolos says there are some thugs whoare up to no good, started causing troublein the neighborhood...Oh, wait...He wantsyou to kill some thugs that are stirring uptrouble against the Government. Inwartime, dissidents are the LAST thingyou need, especially violent dissidents inan interdimensional war! Kill 4 LepharistRevolutionaries and report back. You getyour normal rewards, PLUS 3 Life Potionsand 4 Mana Potions. I recommend tradingthe Mana Potions to a fellow player andgetting more Life Potions.

Dukaki Miners, then kill one of their pitbosses (They have varying names, butthey're all cartoonishly overmuscled), andtake his Striking Rod. Find the bell nearthe wooden palisade, and use it. TheOverseer will appear. She's the biggestDukaki in the game, but you still have tokill her. Once you kill her, she'll drop a jarof Odium Solvent. Look up the hill, andyou'll see 3 "Cauldrons" chained down at adangerous angle. Get in the center of allthree, open your Inventory, anddouble-click the Solvent. Watch thecutscene of the results of your sabotage!Go back and talk to Leto, tell him crisisaverted. He'll be so grateful, he'll give youa choice of Gloves as well as the normalrewards. Choose Plate Gloves. You are aWARRIOR, and Plate is the hallmark of atrue Warrior, a walking tank!

Frillneck Hunt

Leto has another job for you. The RakeClaw Frillnecks are out of control andendangering the locals. Just in case youhaven't seen them before, there's acutscene that shows you theFrillnecks--the same acid-spitting lizardsfrom Jurassic Park! You have to kill 7 ofthem. One thing: Dinosaurs HURT! Thatis all... Once you killed those, Leto saysthey have a bigger problem, bothfiguratively and literally. Leto assigns youto kill GIANT Rake Claw Frillnecks--andyou have to kill TWELVE this time! In




addition to being bigger, AND hittingharder, AND having more HP, the Giantversions are a Level above their normalbrethren! Once you kill THOSE, comeback to Leto for your rewards. Letothrows in your choice of shoulderpads!Choose Plate Pauldrons.

Now that you've proven yourselfagainst the Frillnecks, Leto wants you togo after the Big Boss of the Frillnecks. Iadvise you to bring friends, as the Bosswon't go down easy! When you win, hegives you Harfuia's Earrings.

Might aswell do those first, rather than runningback to Gano, and THEN coming backand doing Nola's bidding...

Perinens needs you to go to Gano andask him to babysit her kids, as she'sgoing to be busier than she thought. Thisis a messenger Quest, nothing physical todeliver. Easy money.

The Forest Outlaw

Ondanius is tired of the local Worgsthreatening (and eating) travelers. Kill 9Starving Worgs and 5 Violent Worgs(The latter name is quite redundant!).They have to be near the road, though, orthey won't "count" for the Quest! Thecloser to Tolbas Village, the better,although there, the spawns get awfullylopsided...

Supplies For The VigilanceCommittee

Kinesos wants you to take supplies toAbolos. A standard FedEx Quest. Inaddition to the normal rewards, you get 30Lesser Odella Powder for your HerbTreatments.

Odella Recipe

Nemia wants you to bring some Odellato Eradis, the town cook, for him to makeinto soup for her. When you bring him theOdella, he says he needs some VerteronPepper. Go to Verteron Citadel again, andbuy Verteron Pepper from Drasia, theVerteron Cook, then bring it to Eradis.(Note: You can buy the Verteron Pepperahead of time, to save travel-time.)

Feeding Hianu

Eradis needs you to deliver some OdellaSoup to Hianu. Once you do, return toEradis and get not only your payment, but2 Odella Soup for yourself!

Source Of The Pollution

This Quest is activated when you reach Level 13. It's going to be another long chain one. Talk with Geolus, as the game "subtly" prompts you to in big yellow letters in the center of your screen. Find Lepios, and talk to him. He'll give you some Contaminated Water to bring to Geolus. Geolus will analyze it, but ask for a Rare Book, "Illustrated Guide to Rare Poisons". You'll have to go all the way back to the Library in Sanctum for that! Talk to Dimos in the Library, and he'll




give you the book, after remarking how outdated it is. Bring the Book and the Contaminated Water Sample to Jumentis. He'll send you to his superior, Quintus. Turns out, this was caused by Elyos chem-weapon research gone horribly right/wrong, depending your perspective.(The plot by this time, is starting to sound like a bad episode of BLEACH!) Go to Hygea, the Priest Trainer, and get Yustiel's Tear. Yustiel will also buy any items you want to sell, AND you can buy Skill Books from the Warrior Trainer in the same room, if you haven't been doing so all along! Go back down to Verteron and talk to Geolus. He'll give you 2 special Antidotes, then send you off to fight BubbleGut (A mutated SUPER-Slime Boss, used to be called Deadly Poison Stacy--I am NOT making this up!) BubbleGut is in the Contaminated Swamp beyond the top of the falls. You must walk all the way around, or fly to Pilgrim's Respite, then go north into the swamp to find him. BubbleGut is a Boss mob (5 lights). He is slow and quite kite-able (Oh, wait, you're a Warrior, you can't kite!) but has a ton of Hit Points. Keep him in his element, the poison pool, to prevent him from casting an obnoxious number of Shields on himself and making himself pretty much invincible. USE THE ANTIDOTES when he stacks too much Poison on you. Bring some friends to

make this battle something like "fair"--orbetter yet, make it unfair in 'YOUR' favor!When BubbleGut "pops", there will be theSpirit of a Daeva hovering over thecarcass. Speak to the Spirit, and get theirDevelopment Log. Go back to Verteronand talk to Spatalos. He'll offer you achoice of weapons, in addition to yournormal fee. Choose the Sword, Gladiator!

The Consequences Of Greed AKAUnwanted Dagger

Beris bought one of thosecostume-jewelry weapons (Which youhelped make earlier, see DecorativeWeapons above), and now wants to returnit. Take it to Ivis in Verteron Citadel, thenbring the good news back to Beris! Youget no EXP, but a good amount of moneyfor this Good Deed.

The Secret Of The Special Omelet

Hianu wants one of Eradis's SpecialOmelets. Go to Eradis and ask for one.Turns out they're made from FrillneckEggs, and Eradis is fresh out of that. Gointo the forest where you fought Frillnecksbefore, and look for their nests in thehollowed-out bases of large trees. Gather 6Eggs, and return to Eradis. In addition toyour usual payment, YOU get 2 of EradisSpecial Omelets!

Retrieving Supplies

Abolos and/or his men were sleeping onthe job, and Dukakis stole their weapons




right out from under their noses! To saveface, he wants you to dive into theDukaki mines, and steal back their Cratesof supplies. To minimize fighting,though, you can clear out the area aroundONE Crate, and keep taking it everytimeit respawns! You need 7 Crates, or thesame Crate 7 times, or any combination.Dukakis make good farming for moneyand EXP at this Level.

Collecting Poison Sacs

Illos is studying the Contaminationtoo. He needs Arachna PoisonSacs.These drop only from BABYArachnas, but the parents won't be toopleased about your infanticide, so expectto fight both at once. Be careful!

Merchants Credit

Maniparas needs you to tell Geolussomething. After you've relayed themessage, he gives you 2 Antidepressant.

Secret Trade

Saminel has a little business on theside. He needs Silver Ore from theDukakis Mines. If you Harvested somealready, when you were looking for theCrates, just give it to him, and let that bethat. Otherwise, you have to get 5 SilverOres. Silver Ores look like shiningcrystals in this weird world...If youHarvest more than he needs, sell theexcess in the Broker, or use it forHandicrafting.

Held Sacred

Lunax needs your help! You have to killKralls and get back the Sacred Icons ofKasinel. This is one of the hardest Questsin the game. I recommend waiting untilyou have all the Krall Quests (Or as manyas they "let" you have), and doing them allat once with as big a group as you canmuster. When you succeed this one, Linaxgives you your choice of Boots. ChoosePlate Boots, as befits a Warrior Class.

Mark Of Revenge AKA Mark ofVengeance

Spatalos orders you to kill Kraals andtake 50 of their Marks as proof. Theykilled his wife and child, but it's notaffecting his judgement at all! Right.AGain, wait until you get a number ofKraal Quests, then do them all at once.You will NEED a big group to kill Kraalsat all, much less enough Kraals to get 50MARKS! At the end, Spatalos gives you achoice of Chest Armor, choose theBreastplate. You also get Title: KrallHunter

Missing Poppy

Ramor's prize Porgus (As close to astraight pig as this universe gets) has beenstolen. Go into Dukakis Mine, and just alittle east of entry, you'll see a "corral"with 3 Porgus in it. Two of them are"normal", and one is Poppy. Once you findPoppy, talk to it, and move SLOWLY




back to Ramor, because Porgus is slow,both mentally, and physically, and can'tfollow you except in a straight line, andeven then, not very fast. You will have tokill anything that gets in the way,BEFORE they can butcher Poppy!

I advise you bring afriend with range powers, and/orpreferably a slowdown/stop power!When you win the fight, report back toAbolos, and get 1 Lesser Running ScrollAND the Title: Bottled Lightning!

Mairon is worried about Roseino, andgives you an antidote to take to her. She'sin a very dangerous part of the world,

If you search enough, you'll find a Bookabout refining Odium, written in Krall.Bring it to Leto in Tolbas Village, and he'llpay you!

'Anti-Krall MeasuresAKA FlyingReconnaissance

This is another Krall Quest, so youshould do it with a big group, and do itwith Mark of Vengeance and HeldSacred Be warned, this is long anddangerous:

- Talk with Estino.

- Use the Potion at the entrance of theTursin Outpost and scout the base.

- Scouting completed. Talk withSpatalos.

- Talk with Meteina.

- Lure the Tursin Loudmouth Boss toMeteina. This is the tricky one. You needto weaken the Boss. There are two outsidethe gate. The smaller mob (Shaman,usually) is Social, so Root him. TheCaptain will NOT aggro when you do this.Now pull the Captain and beat him up toless than 20%. If he is too high you willget a movie of him smacking the guardsaround before he resets and goes back tohis post. If he is low enough, you should




get a movie of him yelling, and then theguards subduing him.

Beware of the Dukaki Flagbearer. Ifyou run into him while doing this, he willyell for help and ALL the Kobolds in thearea will come to assist! You and yourwhole team WILL get raped!

- If you fail: Lure out the TursinLoudmouth Boss again. (See above)

- Talk with Meteina.

- Destroy the flags of the TursinOutpost (0/3) As with other Quests likethis, the SAME FLAG can be hit againand again when they respawn--IT STILLCOUNTS!

- Use Flint (PW/AA) and set fire to theTursin Totem Pole in the TursinGarrison. Oddly, this does NOT aggrothe nearby enemies...Maybe they LIKEseeing things burn, even their ownthings?

- Defeat Ziloota the Seer...This isn'ttricky, it's just plain HARD! Turns out,defeating an enemy is harder than gettingthem down to 20%--Who knew?!

- Talk with Spatalos.

If you win all the above, you get yourpayment, PLUS your choice of LegArmor. Choose Plate Greaves.

Krall Desecration

Lunax is afraid of further desecration of the Holy Sites by Krall marauders. He

tasks you to kill 5 SmackStoppers. Thisquest is most assuredly NOT soloable.The mobs you must hunt are all Elite andthere are no Normal versions. There is alsono terrain to get the enemies stuck on inthe Garrison, so...Yeah. TheSmackStoppers are in the Tursin Garrison,not the Tursin Outpost. You can fight yourway through the Tursin Outpost to getthere, go in the "back door" from Miraju'sHoly Ground, or from the middle viaCantas Coast. Sadly, this Quest is assignedAFTER the main group of Krall Quests,but you'll still need a good group. If yousucceed, you'll get Morai's Belt in additionto your normal payment.

Wedding Ring

Enia lost her wedding ring, and wantsyou to get it back. Ironically, for thisQuest, you don't HAVE to kill anything!Run west, above the i in "Ellun RiverMouth" avoid the aggros in the area, thenglide off the cliff and come back in. Rightat the corner of the cliffs and the shorelineis a tiny purple Jewel Box. Open it andgrab the ring! Bring it to Enia for moremoney and 2 Enia's Lunch Box, or to herhusband for more EXP, but no food.Choice is up to you.

Healing Potion

Kinesos, safe in Verteron, is worriedabout Illos. He gives you a "Special"Potion for Illos. Illos is in Southern TolbasForest, where the wild (and AGGRO)




things are When you give him the Potion,he says there's too much for just him, sohe dilutes it, and gives you the other partof the dilution, telling you to bring it toRoseino in the Contaminated Swamp.When you give Roseino her package, inaddition to your normal pay, you get 4Healing Potions. These are NOT thesame as Life Potions. Rather than healingyour HEALTH, they free you of Stun orKnockdown.

Stopping the Conspiracy of LepharistRevolutionaries AKA "Nest ofLepharists"

The Lepharists are stepping up their activities, so you are ordered to stop them. Meet up with Khidia for a magic disguise. (You WILL have to fight through--or run through--Tursin territory!) When you become the Plumis, fly down and out, then west around the point to the shipwreck. Now go up the ramp to the main deck, through the cabin door and down into the hold to listen in on a meeting. A cutscene will run, and when you come back the




shapechange will vanish. If unlucky, youmay be attacked at this point. Reportwhat you saw and heard to Khidia. Nowyou have to do a FRONTAL attack onthe ship, and kill the Captain and hisbodyguards. I repeat, he WILL bringbodyguards. I recommend you bring atleast 2 friends of your own! Loot hisbody for "Kinsgreen Orders" Bring theOrders to Khidia, then return to Spatalosfor your reward, which includes yourchoice of Helmets! Since you're aWarrior, choose Spatalos Plate Helmet!One more step to looking like thewalking tank you're supposed to be!

extra Life Potions to counteract theeffects! A simple Kill Quest, with normalrewards, PLUS 2 Verteron Citadel ReturnScrolls! (They send you to Verteron fromANYWHERE in the game!)

Immortal Plant AKA Swamp PlantSamples

Roseino needs 20 Samples of the localSwamp Plant (They look like either bigred eggs, or the largest raspberries I'veever seen). UNLIKE most NPCs, she's notcompletely useless, and has managed togather 13 by herself, leaving only 7 morefor you to get. There's nothingEXPLICITLY to fight here, since theSwamp Plants are separate entities, likethe bags you had to steal from Kerubsand/or MuMus, but you may still beattacked while collecting samples. Thisand Slaying Slimes (See above) should bedone together.

Ribbit Blood

Roseino is starting to hallucinate aboutthe trees around here! She needs glandsfrom Mud Ribbits to counteract thehallucinogenic poison in the air! (Iwouldn't be surprised if a LOT ofhallucinogens were involved in makingthis game!) Bring her 5 Mud Ribbit Blood(Isn't it amazing how the blood ispackaged already in vials?). Since this is aLOOT Quest, rather than a KILL Quest,you'll need to kill more than 5, but Ribbitsare easier than Slimes--and no Poison!




Violent Plumas AKA PoisonedPlumas

Meliodas, Roseino's colleague, ALSOhas jobs for you. First, he wants you tokill 9 of the Contaminated Plumas, whodrank the tainted water and some haveturned aggro. Otherwise, they're the sameflying pests you fought back in TolbasForest.

Mysterious Stones

Meliodas wants you to loot fragmentsfrom the Mysterious Stones that hoverover the road in random places. Youdon't HAVE to fight anything on thisQuest, but the enemies WILL try tointerrupt your scavenging. Bring thefragments to Vascus, not Melodias, andhe'll give you your normal QuestRewards, PLUS 100 Lesser PowerShards.

[Coin] Killing the Violent SpiritMeet Anontrite in the Ardus Shrine...A

"Combat Administration Officer"--inother words, a battle ACCOUNTANT!She'll give you an Iron Coin IF you cankill:

of Ruko and Rubus. Rubus is a "ZestyFruit", which might be good, but Ruko is aTEXTILE FIBER! Still, just find andharvest 10 Ruko and 5 Rubus and bringthem back, so he can make his strangesoup--and pay up!

Kalgolems Essence

Ibion says that some golem parts makegood tourist souvenirs, so you have to killthem and take their Essences for sale andanalysis. Remember, this is a LOOTQuest, not a KILL Quest: You need 8Essences, but that does NOT mean just 8kills, as some don't drop their Essencesupon death! Kalgolems, despite theirrocky toughness, are good to farm forEXP!

Rest In Peace, My Brother! AKADispelling Ancient Spirits

Ibion wants you to kill the AncientElyos Spirits that keep scaring off hiscustomers. Despite having onefearsomely-named attack "Death Strike",all it does is push you away and Stun you,then THEY have to chase you to beat on




you--by which time, you can recover andbeat on THEM! Kill your limit, thenreturn to Ibion, and he'll give you yournormal rewards, PLUS an ElementalStone of Revival. This is a GREAT prizebecause it allows you to resurrectyourself ONCE when you die!

Tribute To The Temple

Vascus needs you to bring a Tribute toa shrine, because otherwise, his petGolem will get dangerously violent...Atleast THIS one has justification for notleaving his spot. If you can do it, thenLunax at the Temple will give you 2Lesser Raging Wind Scrolls! That letsyou drastically increase flight SPEED,but not flight TIME! Lunax, and theTemple for that matter, are at the top of abig tree, surrounded by a moat. StandOUTSIDE the moat, and hit Pageup, thenfly up to him. Land on the broken bridgeWITHOUT waking up the Gargoyles.The Gargoyles are Elite Bosses, and willshred you without warning, and withouteffort!

First, find Mileno, the talkingtree to the west of the Ardus Shrine, nearthe path. He gives you the Water Spirit.Now, find Alrunta, the talking tree on theEAST of the Ardus Shrine, also near the




path. He changes the Water Spirit into anEarth Spirit for you. Bring the newbornEarth Spirit to Elote. She'll pay you,AND give you 3 Wind Potions, to keepaloft longer.
