TO: Keyboarding Students FROM: Ms. Scolieri DATE: October 29, 2007
SUBJECT: LEARNING TO CONSTRUCT A MEMO
1. Type the word memorandum in all caps (centered) at the top margin.
2. Type the memo headings to, from, date, and subject in all caps
followed by a colon.
3. Tab after you type the memo heading to input the heading information.
4. Double space between each memo heading. Triple space after
the subject line.
5. The body of the memo should be like a letter. Single space paragraphs and double space between paragraphs. Double space between numbers.
6. The typists initials are typed a double space below the last
paragraph. They should appear in lowercase.
7. Be sure to initial the memo next to your name. This will take the place of the signature.
8. Beware that the word attachment may be used instead of
enclosure.
