OverviewThe fellowship program brings talented young Americans along with Indians or ten months to

work in the developmental sector in India.

The goal of the program is to encourage talented young people to engage their talents

for India’s benefit, build ties to India, and assist the partner organizations in increasing their

capacity.

• Selection Criteria

• Graduate Degrees Preferred

• Professional Work Experience Preferred

• Indian Languages Skills and/or prior experience in India

• Diversity of background and/or other development experiences

• Maturity, Openness, Cultural Tolerance/Insight, Flexibility, Career Goals Alignment, etc.

• Approximately 1 of 4 applicants called to interview, 10% overall selected

• Reading and Interview process includes large pool of employees and supporters of AIF, such that selection reflects consensus of those inside and outside of program and AIF itself
