About AIESEC

AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization. Active in over 1700 universities across more

than 111 countries and territories, our international platform enables young people to explore and

develop their leadership potential for them to have a positive impact in society.

Since 2006, AIESEC in Jordan has been activating the leadership potential of 100 students every

year, through providing them with local and national leadership opportunities, international

internships and local & international conferences.

The Youth Leadership Forum

Held every year, the forum is created to be a platform for young students in Jordan to discuss social

and economic issues of relevance challenging their development and their role in the society to

overcome such challenges.

The forum’s unique approach of linking students with corporate and non-corporate organizations in a

2-way dialog enables students to build a stronger perspective on what leadership competencies they

need to develop in order to have an impact on the Jordanian society, as well as enabling partners to

understand the values, attitudes and behaviors in the next generation of leaders, which enables

them to design long-term strategies to utilize this youthful potential.

In 2009

The Youth Leadership Forum brought together 100 university

students, 10 corporate, non-corporate and governmental

representatives to discuss the relationship between youth and

these sectors , and explored topics such as; social engagement,

entrepreneurship and sustainability.

In 2010

The Forum again brought together 100 university students, and 10

corporate partners to co-create initiatives in which young people

can contribute to their society, and also discussed together topics

such as; CSR, Innovation, and ICT Development.

In 2011

With the challenging times the MENA region in going through, and

as the role of young people in Jordan is growing, the forum aims to

create a long-term perspective of the development of young

people, through I identifying the main socio-economic challenges

facing Jordan in a 10-years time, and the key leadership

competencies that need to be activate in young people today.

The Forum’s Historic

Background:

competencies for future leadership,

and every time, the forum’s topics
