AIC Muunyini Church Roof Project 2014
Scope of Muunyini Roof project: Fabricate, erect metal trusses & purloins.
Install metal roof on a 55’x80’ church, with an office extension, 17’x 33’, plus three
verandahs. Church located two hours south east of Nairobi, Kenya.
Note: we need men who are not afraid of heights and who understand welding.
Dates: First team of 4 to 5 skilled welders: January 17-31
Second team to complete installing roof: January 31-February 15
Requirements and cost per team member:
Passports
Air tickets to Nairobi, Kenya from wherever you live
Shots: Your local health department can guide you & provide most shots.
Malaria pills (the majority of these pills can be purchased in Nairobi for significantly
less).
Visa: $50 (purchase Nairobi airport)
Local transportation and living expenses in Kenya: $600
Pocket money for personal items, such as souvenirs
Optional: visit to the Nairobi game park ( + - $40 entrance fees, 20,000ksh ($125) for
vehicle and guide (to be divided by number of passengers).
Note: If we have extra volunteers on the second team, we have projects available at
the Nduluku Bible College, which is located a half hour drive from Muunyini
church.(See Nduluku Bible College Projects for details).
Materials Cost: Although not a requirement of the team, the following monies are
needed in order to accomplish the tasks above. Pray for God’s provision.
Muunyini church roof: $12,000 for the main roof.
Muunyini office extension and three verandah roofs: $5000

Church leaders and builder met with David, March
2013, and assured him the church will be ready for
the roof by January! Pray that God will provide the
resources for the final preparations.
