Our Presentation is

about “Ahsan Manzil”

***Ahsan Manzil***

“Ahsan Manzil” is one of the most attractive historical sign in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. “Ahsan Manzil” is situated on the bank of the river Buriganga at Islampur in old Dhaka. It was the official residential palace of the Nawab Family of Dhaka. It was actually built by Nawab Sir Abdul Gani in 1872, and named it 'Ahsan Manzil' after the name of his beloved son, Khwaja Ahsanullah.

It is also known as a “Pink Palace”. The Pink Palace was reconstructed after the tornado of 1888 by Nabab Khwaja Ahsanullah. Now it has been established as a museum. People have the opportunity to visit the museum and here you will find some historical and archeological things. It has 23 galleries displaying portraits, furniture and other objects used by the Nawabs.
