History of Ahmedabad The largest city of Gujarat and

sixth largest city of India. It was founded by Sultan Ahmed

Shah in 1411 . Known for its rich past and

present its association with

Mahatma Gandhi(Great Soul) . Formerly Ahmdabad was known

as Manchester of India for its textile industries.

Here lot of monuments was created by Sultan Ahmedshah.

Name of Ahmedabad also created by Ahmed Shah.

It has been known for its industry since medieval times.

And presently it is also famous for its textile mills and is often referred to as the 'Manchester of the East‘.

This Lake is one multisided lake of Ahmedabad .

Shabarmati Ashram(Info)It is seventh wonders of India.Its formerly known as 'Satyagraha Ashram", Gandhi stayed at the Ashram from 1915 to 1933 later

on the Ashram was disbanded. He was great leader and soul of India we call him

Bapu.Ashram was founded on May 25, 1915 in Ahmedabad

at Kochrab.when Gandhi returned from South Africa, with 25

inmates. The Ashram was shifted on the bank of river Sabarmati in July 1917.
