Environmental Permitting for Industries obtain the necessary licenses and approvals from the environmental authorities or agencies. Normally, we begin this process by identifying the relevant environmental permit requirements at the appropriate stage of our Client’s project development. Our team will work closely with the Client representatives to prepare the submissions in accordance with the regulatory requirements. AH Environmental will ensure that the permits are timely obtained while the requirements are incorporated into the detailed design, construction and operation. We can also assist you to communicate the environmental controls or mitigation measures to the contractors, including to incorporate in tender documents and to meet the environmental monitoring & reporting requirements.

REMEDIATION
Remediation Services
Environmental remediation deals with the removal of pollution or contaminants from environmental media such as soil groundwater, sediment, or surface water. This would mean that once requested by Environmental remediation deals with the removal of pollution or contaminants from environmental media such as soilgroundwater, sediment, or surface water.
This would mean that once requested by the government or a land remediation authority, immediate action should be taken as this can impact negatively on human health and the environment.
Remediation is generally subject to an array of regulatory requirements, and also can be based on assessments of human health and ecological risks where no legislated standards exist or where standards are advisory
Remediation technologies are many and varied but can be categorized into ex-situ and in-situ methods. Ex-situ methods involve excavation of affected soils and subsequent treatment at the surface, In-situ methods seek to treat the contamination without removing the soils.
Sludge Treatment and Oil Recovery
Generally oil sludge can be classified into three main groups, the first type of sludge results from soil contamination during production activity, or in emergency cases, the second type of bottom sludge is formed due to sediment of oil spills to the bottom of water basins, while the third type, tank sludge isformed during storage and transportation of oil products in reservoirs of various designs.
With stringent legislation, growing disposal costs, and limited on-site storage space, Methods of sludge processing can vary according to sludge physio-mechanical characteristics.
Fig. 1 Obtaining samples from pits
The sludge treatment units come in two modules, the first containing the pre-treatment unit and the second containingthe centrifuge and other equipment depending upon the model.

AH provides recovery of hydrocarbons from crude oil sludge which is then blended with fresh crude resulting in huge savings and reduction of generated wastes.
Contaminated Soil Bioremediation
Fig. 5 Solid bins for contaminated soil and solids residuals
In-Situ Soil Bioremediation
In-Situ Bioremediation uses microorganisms to break down certain types of pollutants at thesite.
Typically, bioremediation is used for sites where land cannot be disrupted or where costs are limited, AH can utilize in-situ bioremediation as an inexpensive alternative to soil removal.
Fig. 6 Contaminated soil before and after remediation (from left to right)
The process employs microorganisms indigenous to the contaminated soils which are metabolically enhanced through optimization of environmental conditions and a supply of nutrients and oxygen. Nutrients in the form of ammonium sulfate and di-ammonium phosphate are to be delivered to a treatment areas in a pelletized form (to keep a C:N:P weight ratio of 100:10:1) using a broadcast spreader. The pH of the soils are to be monitored closely and lime shall be added to increase pH levels when required. Ideal PHC-degrading bacterial population density is an MPN per gram of 1.0 x 106 M or higher.
