Agriculture (also called farming or husbandry)

is the cultivation of animals, plants, fungi and

other life forms for food, fiber and other

    products used to sustain life.

    The major agricultural products

can be broadly grouped into :

    Foods

    Fibers

    FuelsRaw materials

Other useful materials are produced by

    plants :

There are several factors that are

    very influential in agricultural

    products :

Fertilizer is any organic or inorganic material ofnatural or synthetic (other than liming materials) is added

to soil to supply one or more plant nutrients essential for

plant growth. A final assessment. Found that about 40 to

60% of the crop caused by the use of commercialfertilizers.

The use of inorganic fertilizers has also significantly

support the growth of the global population - has been

estimated that nearly half the people on Earth now being

fed as a result of the use of synthetic nitrogen fertilizers

Pesticides are substances or mixtures of

    substances intended for preventing, destroying,

repelling or reduce pests of any kind. Pesticides

may be a unicycle chemical, biological agents (such

as viruses or bacteria), antimicrobial, disinfectant

or device used against any pest.

Pesticides are grouped into four main

A seed is a small embryonic plant enclosed in acovering called the seed coat, usually with some stored

    food.

Seeds have been significant developments in the

reproduction and spread of flowering plants, relative to

more primitive plants like mosses, ferns and liverworts,

which do not have the seeds and use other means to

propagate themselves. It can be seen by the success of

seed plants (both gymnosperms and angiosperms) in

dominating biological niches on land, from forests to

grasslands both in hot and cold climates.

Indonesia is a relatively fertile tropical regions

due to be passed by a belt of fire (Volcano series) which

causes the soil Indonesia formed mostly from the plainsof Volkan. The island of Java for example. But they

became farmers were full of misery, making the most of

the population choose to find another job as long as it

not farmers. But the fact is rather advanced agriculture

Indonesia but instead bypassed by other countries to

gain further insight just wrestling in this field.

What is the agricultural potential of

    Indonesia?

Indonesia has the potential of natural resources, including germplasm, which is abundant (mega

biodiversity). Bio-diversity onshore Indonesia is the

world's second largest after Brazil, whereas when

including marine biodiversity, Indonesia is one of the

world's largest. It can be seen with the various types of

agricultural crops, horticulture, plantations and farms

that have long been cultivated as a source of food and

    income.

Indonesia has the potential availability of landlarge enough and has not been used optimally.

The number of extents and distribution of forests,

rivers, swamps and lakes and rainfall is quite high

and evenly distributed throughout the year is really anatural potential to meet the water needs of

    agriculture

if managed properly. Reservoirs, dams, ponds

and groundwater and other surface water is the

potential to support the development of agricultural

    businesses.
