On behalf of the organisers I would like to welcome visitors to Agri-Expo 2014, the fourth annual land based show at the Kent Showground and for the second time, kindly sponsored by Sprint Fuels.
Exhibitor numbers have increased signifi-cantly so you are guaranteed to find a huge amount to interest you within the myriad of services and ideas geared towards making farming more efficient and more profitable.
The hard work by the organisers has paid off, with bookings confirmed from companies from across the UK, including some notable international and national manufacturers as well as local companies from all areas of the farming sector. Local machinery dealerships have been especially supportive and have achieved great success in encouraging their machinery manufacturers to exhibit along-side them.
There are several new exhibitors for 2014 who have booked based on the success of 2013. Among them we welcome GSF Live-stock Equipment, Symtag and Denis Brini-combe who will compliment the growing livestock part of the show. JC Machinery, Shufflebottom Ltd and Minshall Construc-tion have also joined us for the first time.

INTRODUCTION
Special guest announced
The organisers of Agri-Expo are delighted to announce that our special guest, and trade stand judge for 2014 will be Mr Steve Hook, you will probably know him better as the Moo-Man.
Father and son Phil and Steve Hook farm Longleys Farm organically. They have been in partnership together at Longleys Farm Hailsham since 1991. Farming is in their blood, the Hook family have been farming in East Sussex for at least 250 years!
They farm 180 acres just north of Hailsham,
and on the very western edge of the Pevensey Levels Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The organic methods of farming that they use work in harmony with maintaining and enhancing this important and wonderful local ecology. The farm is teeming with a wide variety of flora and fauna. A recent RSPB species survey found 45 different species of native birds, including eight species whose status is cate-gory red (declined by more than 50% over the last 25 years), and nine species that have declined by 25-49% over the same period (category amber).

Trade exhibitions can be judged in a variety of ways, but whichever way you look at it, Agri-Expo has proved a resounding success in a very short timescale.
While other organisers might choose to highlight the number of visitors, rising numbers of trade stands, the value of busi-ness done, the level of repeat bookings or the profitability of the show, RAMSAKs Karen Wheeler is happy to talk about all of them.
The number of visitors continues to rise and we have been delighted with the response to the show from manufacturers, machinery dealers and other compa-nies directly involved in agriculture, she commented.
Most of our trade stands come back each year and we hear lots of good stories about how much business is done on the day, or as a direct result of contacts made during the show.
A great place to do businessAnd as the icing on the cake, RAMSAK The Ring of Agricultural Machinery in Sussex and Kent has seen its own membership rise and its income increase as a direct result of taking on the not-inconsiderable task of coordinating the show.
The RAMSAK team tackles that task in part-nership with venue hosts the Kent County Agricultural Society and Evegate Publishing, the group behind the class-leading South East Farmer magazine and its sister paper South East Business.
It felt like a bold step when the three part-ners decided to set up a completely new agri-cultural show just four years ago, selecting a quiet time of year in farming terms but keeping clear of the Lamma Show.
The objective was not to compete with the established show but to give farmers in the South East an alternative that was on their doorstep and could be reached easily in a normal working day.
The organisers worked hard to make the 2011 event a success, but even they were delighted with the response from an agri-cultural community that grasped the oppor-tunity to see new equipment and the latest machinery at close quarters.
It is an interesting time of year because it can be cold and wet or it can be a warm early spring day, explained Karen. Last year we managed to choose the first dry day of 2013, which meant some people who had been planning to come to Agri-Expo up until the night before were instead tempted to get out on their land.
Interestingly, the committed buyers still made it to the show, which meant that while numbers were slightly hit by the warm weather, there was a healthy amount of spending, both around the showground and inside the two covered pavilions.
The spring date has been warmly welcomed by an industry that finds the Kent County Shows traditional mid summer scheduling aimed at maximising visitor numbers not best suited to 21st century farming.
Agri-Expo does not seek to compete with the 85 year-old county show, which is also held at the Detling showground, but to complement it.
As Kent County Agricultural Society (KCAS) chairman Kevin Attwood explained: The Kent County Show remains a flagship and draws thousands of people each year, but the emphasis has shifted and now its focused more on presenting the public face of the industry and flagging up the broader benefits agriculture delivers to the county, the countryside and the economy.
The livestock and fruit sections are still very well supported, and from that point of view agriculture is well represented, but it is the wrong time of year for arable farmers to be looking at new machinery as they are taking delivery of what they ordered six months or a year earlier and putting it to work.
Similarly, dealers are committed to getting machinery out into the fields and demon-strating it. While most of Kents machinery dealers have a presence at the Kent Show,

which is important and welcome, it tends to be smaller than at the March show.
It is the early March date that makes Agri-Expo such a popular event with farmers. They are less busy, manufacturers have new equipment to demonstrate and dealers have the time to display it and talk about it.
Mr Attwood was quick to praise the team-work that had created such a well-established event after just four years, and described it as a real success story that reflects the increas-ingly optimistic feel around agriculture in Kent and neighbouring counties.
He said Agri-Expo had already become a fundamental part of what the KCAS offered to farmers in the South East and to busi-nesses from much further afield.
Those exhibitors now include a number from Ireland and from Devon, helping to turn what began as a comparatively local show into a major draw that is increasingly becoming a fixed point on the industrys calendar.
Exhibitors welcome the fact that the cost of trade stands is comparatively low, while in turn the show helps promote RAMSAK as a fast growing, not for profit membership
Continued from previous page organisation for those in the agricultural and rural sectors.
Our membership rose last year from around 500 to 570, with much of that reflecting the increasing awareness of RAMSAK that Agri-Expo has helped to create, commented manager Angus Campbell, who praised the work of the organising team of Karen and colleague Chris Smith.
Karen and Chris work hard to put together a show that has grown each year since 2011. It takes a lot of effort and negotiation to bring together the right range of exhibitors and visitors in order to create a successful event, and they achieve it every time.
One of the reasons RAMSAK is able to keep exhibitor costs down is generous sponsor-ship from Rochester-based Sprint Fuels, the company that supplies the machinery rings customers with a range of fuel and heating oil products.
After supporting the event for the first time in 2013, managing director Henry Drake was happy to sign up again as this years show sponsor.
He explained: Sprint Fuels has built up a long and successful relationship with

Last years show also featured a popular celebrity in the shape of TV weather girl and presenter Kaddy Lee-Preston, who toured the show and chatted with exhibitors as she judged the trade stands and presented prizes to the best.
After presenting the awards for Best Machinery Stand (Burden Bros Agri), Best Livestock Stand (Allflex), Best Innovation Stand (Scotpen) and Best Inspirational Stand (AG Advisory LLP), the popular visitor commented: I was incredibly impressed by the event because its an excellent oppor-tunity for local and national businesses to meet and do business.

New exhibitors at this years event will include Denis Brinicombe Agri, a family-owned specialist nutritional business based in Crediton, Devon and supplying products to the agricultural and equine markets.
There are several Irish companies attending the show, with steel fabricators Walter Watson and McHale Farm Machinery both returning after making successful debuts at the 2013 event.
Most businesses that exhibit at the show tend to come back, explained Karen. They see it as a great place to do business and I

suspect they also realise that it has great potential and want to be part of its growth. This is a success story in the making.
As well as giving visitors a chance to see an increasingly-wide range of machinery and equipment close at hand, the show boosts the agricultural economy, according to Kevin Attwood.
The dealers and manufacturers who come to Agri-Expo do real business, he said. Many companies can trace buying deci-sions straight back to the show, and thats why they return and why the numbers have been increasing every year.
Continued from previous page His view was supported by the show-grounds Lucy Hegarty, who said the venue had received very favourable feedback from exhibitors about the quality of the visi-tors to Agri-Expo. One exhibitor described those who were at last years show as the right people to be spending money, she said.
The organisers have also seen a welcome rise in the number of visitors not just from Kent, Surrey, Essex and Sussex but from across mainland Europe, a trend that they are hoping will continue on Wednesday 5 March 2014.
Another area where Kevin believes Agri-Expo offers an extra dimension is in profes-sional services, where the chance to talk to rural planners, agents, contractors and lawyers is, in his view, invaluable.
Being able to chat to the experts about a new project without making a formal appointment to go and see them is really useful, he said. Agri-Expo allows you to talk to different suppliers and compare what is on offer.

visitors have an input into the exhibitors. Several of our members told us a few years back that they would like to know more about the Bale Baron range, said Karen Wheeler.
Because of that interest we got in touch and invited them to attend two years ago. They returned in 2013 and this year they will be back for a third time.
Karen is delighted but not surprised at how enthusiastically the farming commu-nity has united in its support of what RAMSAK describes as the biggest agricul-tural show in the South East run by farmers for farmers.
Its success is one of the factors that have allowed RAMSAK to move to bigger offices and take on new staff to help Karen and Chris develop Agri-Expo while also launching a sister event, Equi-Expo, planned for 17 May at the showground.

ment, diversification opportunities and collaborative projects and uses the official show website to highlight education and training news and opportunities as well as other industry developments.
Meanwhile one independent RAMSAK member assessed that last years show gave farmers the chance to see, evaluate, compare and talk to exhibitors about 40m worth of machinery. With that figure set to be eclipsed this year, this is clearly a show that will continue to grow.

A valuable soil conditioner at a subsidised price and with all the paperwork taken care of; thats the offer from Agri-Expo 2014 exhibitor Austin Contract Services, better known as ACS.
While ACS offers a range of services including lime and fertiliser spreading and compost supply, its main operation is supplying treated sewage sludge (biosolids) to farms across the south of England.
Headed up by Charlie Austin, ACS not only collects, delivers and spreads the companys organic fertiliser output, but looks after the increasingly-vital paperwork as well.
As well as testing the soil so farmers can decide what additional organic material they need, we organise the Environment Agency permits and ensure that any treat-ment complies with legislation, Charlie explained.
It makes the process hassle-free for the farmer as well as offering them a valuable soil conditioner at a subsidised price.
Biosolid sludge is comparatively low cost because the water company pays ACS
The hassle-free wayto soil conditioning
for taking it away and putting it to good use, while the subsidised price includes spreading, which ACS carries out using state-of-the-art machinery.
The company prides itself on providing a personal service, with one of five contract supervisors looking after every stage of the sales, delivery and spreading operation for each customer.
If you want to talk about a delivery, change the date for spreading or find out the results of the latest soil test, you speak to the same person each time, which helps us build strong relationships with our farmers, said Charlie.
Based at Bobbing, just outside Sitting-bourne, ACS also sells and spreads 20,000 tonnes of top grade PAS 100 accredited compost each year from New Earth Solu-tions Blaise facility at Kings Hill, near West Malling in Kent. The average cost of around 8 per tonne includes precision spreading.
ACS also works closely with soil testing specialists Farm Image to provide a preci-sion liming service that uses high grade chalk and two new KRM Bredal spreaders to deliver high quality results.

In situations where soil compaction and damage is an issue, the Grimme SV260 two-row bunker potato harvester may provide the answer.
While trailed elevator type harvesters such as the popular GT range rely on trailers running alongside the harvester all the time, the SV bunker machine based on the Varitron range allows a trailed machine to work on its own in the field.
Demand from growers for this type of machine, which causes minimal damage at worst to the crop, is increasing, according to Grimme, which will be represented at Agri-Expo 2014.
Staying with the bunker emptying system introduced with Varitron range, the SV allows unloading on the move or while stationary.
Harvester has the answerThe bunker system is gentle and allows the crop to be put directly into boxes on the move. In addition, the offset design of the digging system allows the use of high horse-power tractors as well as those fitted with wide tyres, as the tractor runs on the lifted ground.
These innovations, coupled with the harvest-ers large flotation tyres, leaves a level, non-compacted field after harvest.

A focus on efficiency supported by tech-nology will be on offer for visitors to the Haynes area at Agri-Expo 2014.
The dealership will be highlighting the Case IH range of T4 tractors with CVT transmission, which Case IH have extended across its range, and they believe gives farmers machines that are powerful, easy to use and capable of performing at their best in the toughest condi-tions.
Haynes believes Case IH innovations cut fuel consumption and operating costs and allow farmers to work quickly and efficiently while the technology gets on with the job quietly in the background.
The dealership will be promoting the benefits of Case IHs CVX transmission, APM auto-matic productivity management and the effi-cient Power SCR engine technology from Fiat Powertrain industrial.
These benefits are all now featured in the smaller Maxxum 130 tractor as well as throughout the Puma range and into the new Magnum CVX models.
Haynes Agritec will be following a Best of British theme at Agri-Expo by demonstrating the British-built New Holland product along-side the JCB range of machinery manufactured in Rocester, Staffordshire.
The stand will feature the market-leading JCB Loadall and the JCB TM320s Telemaster, together with a sales team fully briefed on the impressive JCB warranty and service package.
Farmers who are thinking about changing their round balers should also visit the stand to look at the world record-holding Comprima baler from leading green harvest manufacturer Krone. On the stand will be the unique, semi-variable F155 capable of producing six sizes of bale between 1.25 and 1.5m in diameter.

Dont miss out on big tax savingsChanges to the capital allowances system represent a 500,000 tax saving for busi-nesses thinking of buying tractors and farm machinery, according to JCB Finance.
The clock is ticking for those companies with a 31 March year end or unincorporated businesses with a tax year ending 5 April 2014.
After these dates, the available annual investment allowance (AIA) drops to 187,500 before finally reverting to 25,000 on 1 January 2015. Also be aware that the assets purchased must be available for use in the business before the cut off dates and unspent allowances cant be carried forward. Given the lead times of some farm machinery, from order to delivery, this needs to be carefully factored in to your buying plans.
Announced by the chancellor in December 2012, many businesses are still not aware of this important tax incentive which allows 100% tax relief in the first year. The AIA was designed to encourage businesses to invest up to 250,000 in plant, machinery, commercial vehicles and even fixtures such as a generator (new or used). Depending on
the businesss rate of tax, it is an open invi-tation to secure the equivalent of a 20% to 45% subsidy. Better still if you acquire the machinery via a hire purchase agreement the acquisition, for tax purposes, is treated as if cash had been paid.
Unfortunately it seems that some finan-cial advisers have been slow in coming to terms with the complicated new rules and some tax saving opportunities have already been lost. Virtually all businesses can claim the AIA the only exceptions are mixed partnerships or trusts (i.e. those in which a company is a member).
For a sole trader or partnership, making suffi-cient profits, investing 250,000 in plant and paying 40% income tax could be the equiva-lent of Her Majestys Revenue and Customs (HMRC) paying the 25,000 deposit and the first annual payments of 75,000 (net

Financial year end
of interest) on a three year agreement! For a 20% corporation tax payer it equates to HMRC paying for the same 25,000 deposit plus the first third or 25,000 of the first years payments on the same three year hire purchase deal. If you pay higher rates of tax you could save even more.
If you have not already planned how to maximise the benefit speak to your accountant now. Get the timing and /or the amounts wrong and your business could either miss out on available tax relief or worst still, end up paying far more tax than is required.
However, proper advice is needed because the above scenarios are relatively simple to interpret. Different financial years that straddle the tax year and/or the 1 January 2013 and 2015 will result in very compli-cated calculations that will result in a lesser AIA being granted in that financial year. The chart above illustrates this by showing four different financial year end compa-
nies and how vital it is to spend the right amount within the right periods in order to maximise the tax benefits.
If your business is contemplating buying farm machinery in the near future, there are some strong tax based and cash flow arguments to encourage careful plan-ning of machinery purchases before the end of the first year of enhanced AIA and certainly before the second year finishes on 31 December 2014. That way you can fully benefit from the total available tax relief of 500,000 spread over two years.
Virtually all businesses can claim the annual investment allowance

New Case IH models with CVT transmis-sions will be highlighted on the Ernest Doe Power stand at Agri-Expo 2014, with visitors able to get up close and personal to the new Maxxum CVX.
Case IH is following an increasing trend in the agricultural industry by introducing the new transmission into both the Maxxum and the Magnum ranges. The Maxxum range runs from 110bhp to 130bhp and Magnum from 260bhp to 370bhp.
The Maxxums two mechanical gears give excellent overall efficiency and the CVT transmission provides them with infinitely-variable forward speeds up to 50kph which is reached at a fuel-saving, low engine speed of 1750rpm, with 40kph achieved at
Highlighting CVT optionsjust 1600rpm.
Equipped with helical gears which ensure smooth running at all speeds, the CVT transmissions two forward, reverse and shuttle gears are changed automatically using a double-clutch arrangement to provide a smooth, seamless transition.
The clutches engage only when both gears are rotating at the same speed, providing levels of comfort and efficiency that Case IH claims are unachievable with any other transmission technology. The system also extends service life and minimises power losses.
Ernest Doe Power has nine branches across the South East and East Anglia.

Vaderstads Tempo T, launched in 2012 as a seed-only drill, is now available in a combi version that can add fertiliser during the same pass.
The Tempo T with combi is available as a six or seven row machine and is equipped with two medium-sized fertiliser hoppers, each holding 300 litres but with an optional extension that takes the total capacity to 1,300 litres. The fertiliser is transported by an air stream to the fertiliser coulters, which are positioned 5cms to the side of the seed row.
Tempo T with combi is equipped with row control which allows the operator to control each row individually and stop the seed,
microgranulate and fertiliser at the same time.
The combi drill can be equipped with three different types of electronics, with the most basic being Control-Station, a robust solu-tion used on most Vderstad seed drills.
The ISOBUS version sees the seed drill controlled by a virtual terminal within the tractor, while the top-end solution is supplied by the Vderstad E-Services appli-cation controlled by an iPad, with commu-nication taking place using Wi-Fi.
Vderstad believes the Tempo technology and concept achieves exceptional preci-sion at high speed when drilling maize and sunflower.

In the agricultural world a company car has to pull its weight in more ways than one.
The Land Rover range displayed at this years Agri-Expo 2014 show by Barretts of Canter-bury is more than capable of holding its own in the toughest of environments and blends performance and desirability with all-round capability.
Land Rover offers an award-winning fleet of vehicles that will not only meet but exceed the demands of farmers and landowners, whether they need a conventional on-farm workhorse or a more comfortable all-round vehicle.
Evolved from a lineage that stretches back to the first Land Rover in 1948, todays Defender takes pride of place as the toughest vehicle in the range. When it comes to taking on, and beating, some of the most challenging terrain, Defender is the obvious choice.
Range can pull its weight on farm
It is easy to understand why so many companies and emergency services rely on the Defender every day, but the attraction goes beyond its build quality and rugged good looks. The Defender 90 Hard Tops 2.2 litre diesel engine produces an impressive 122hp while returning up to 31 mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions from 266g/km.
Investment in a Land Rover is protected by a three-year unlimited mileage warranty and six-year anti-perforation warranty, while drivers are covered by a unique Europe-wide scheme and a three-year roadside assistance service.
Comprehensive ongoing support is provided by an expert fleet and business team that aims to be as dependable as the vehicle and is dedicated to making customers lives easier.
Official Fuel Consumption Figures for the Defender range in mpg (l/100km): Urban 20.8 (13.6) 24.6 (11.5) Extra Urban 29.1 (9.7) 31.4 (9.0) Combined 25.5 (11.1) 28.3 (10.0) CO2 Emissions 295 266 g/km.The figures provided are as a result of official manufacturers tests in accordance with EU legislation. A vehicles actual fuel consumption may differ from that achieved in such tests and these figures are for comparative purposes only.

Deciding which new pressure washer to buy is not the easiest of decisions, with a wide range of options and a number of competing brands to consider.
At the same time, its not the kind of big-ticket item that can justify a day or two spent touring showrooms and trying out different options. A busy farmer or contractor might be able to spare that kind of time when buying a new tractor, but its a big commitment for some-thing to keep the yard and machinery clean.
Crawley-based Pressure Clean can square that circle by taking a number of machines out to potential customers often putting an alter-native on the van even when the customer is certain he or she knows what they want.
There have been plenty of occasions when Ive taken something along with me because I know its more suitable than the model the farmer thinks he wants and you would be surprised at how often its the one he ends up going for, explained service manager Gary Fielding.
After 15 years with Pressure Clean, Gary has a pretty good idea not just of what he sells and with scores of options available thats no easy task but of which model is best suited to which task around the farm or the yard.
Pressure Cleans reputation for offering customers a choice was one of the things that inspired John Bray, who farms more than 1,600 acres just north of Faversham at Ham Farm, to turn to the company when he needed a new washer.
Andrew MewBringing choice to the customer
He told me that he had read in South East Farmer that we were happy to take out a number of different models, said Gary. That was one of the main reasons he came to us, and we were happy to oblige.
John made the most of the opportunity. I took three models out to show him, but once it became clear that he wanted a high pressure system I explained that he would be better off with a three-phase machine, said Gary.
The farmer was so impressed with Garys advice that he brought in his electrician to extend the farms three-phase supply so that he could use it in the yard, and then asked Gary to come back with two more machines.
What was interesting is that Johns cousin Simon is already a customer of ours and had also recommended Pressure Clean, but he bought a three-phase Nilfisk Alto Neptune 5-57 for use at Monks Farm, Norton, near Teynham in Kent.
After trying out the various machines I brought him, John went instead for a Karcher
HDS 8/17-4m, which shows that while both ranges are equally reliable and do similar jobs, they each have different strengths and work best in different environments.
Tractor driver and stockman Andrew Mew, the man who gets to use the new machine, was swayed in part by the jockey wheels that give the Karcher more manoeuvrability than the four-wheeled Nilfisk Alto range.
Its a great machine with plenty of power for cleaning down machinery, and I also like the adjustable pressure spray lance, which means you can calm things down a bit if you move from washing a tractor to cleaning something a little less robust, Andrew commented.
Pressure Clean supplies a vast range of machines, from a domestic 240v model for cleaning the patio costing around 60 through to a Nilfisk Alto multi-pump unit designed with large milking parlours in mind and coming in at around 10,000.
They come with cold or hot water feeds and can be powered by petrol, diesel or electricity. There are also tractor driven power take off options, one of which once proved powerful enough to put a farmer on his back when he first tested it. Also on offer are trailed versions and frost-protected static units that are housed in a lockable cabinet to prevent theft or vandalism.
Simon Bray bought his machine from us after talking to a Pressure Clean representa-tive at the first Agri-Expo, explained Gary. We have been back ever since and find it a really useful show for meeting new customers and catching up with existing ones.
Cousin John and his brother Andrew, who farm as A J Bray, now have two Pressure Clean machines; a petrol driven washer for their more inaccessible orchards and the new Karcher for the yard.

The range is immense and can be daunting, but if the farmer or landowner can answer four or five questions about what they need and how they are planning to use it, we can quickly narrow the options down to a sensible choice, explained Gary.
Along with Nilfisk Alto and Karcher, Pressure Clean supplies machines from Mac, as well as Nilfisks CFM range of industrial vacuum cleaners that are ideal for grain stores and other agricultural uses. The growing business, which now employs a dozen people, also supplies a full range of cleaning chemicals and has full maintenance and repair teams.
Pressure Clean also offers a range of floor sweepers and scrubber driers and can supply dry steam cleaners for sanitising purposes.
While Gary is currently heading up the sales team following the departure of Stuart Payton, backup has arrived in the shape of Ray Collier, who has been taken on as the first
full-time areas sales rep for Kent and brings many years experience of the industry to the post.
Last year was our best for some time and we are feeling confident about the future, said Gary. Bringing in a dedicated team member just for Kent is clearly a step forward for us and will allow me to support the whole team, which operates across London, Surrey, Essex, Sussex, Kent and Hampshire.
Gary has also taken on a new engineer coor-dinator and has expanded the office team to support the company, which started in 1970 and is well respected across the industry.
We looked carefully at where we are heading following a successful 2013 and carried out a full review of the companys future, said Gary. We are confident that we now have the right team in place to take the business forward and support the wide-ranging needs of the agricultural industry.

An exclusive new group offers farmers quick and easy access to quality fencing products, along with preferential prices, occasional special offers and free delivery.
The new Jacksons Farmers Group (JFG) offers a monthly account as well as a host of other benefits. The idea is that farmers can drop in and collect what they need when they need it, settling their account at a later date.
Kent fencing specialist Jacksons also believes that setting up a special group for farmers will help convey their ethos of providing high quality products that deliver lasting value and a low lifetime cost.
The company last year published the Defin-itive Guide to Timber Treatment, which Jacksons created as a helpful, no-nonsense guide to the dos and donts of timber treat-ment, covering everything from timber types and pressure treatment to kiln drying
Quick and easy access to quality fencing products
and responsible sourcing.
The companys long term approach to fencing is supported by Jacksons unique Jakcure 25-year guarantee on all products.
The company, which will be talking to farmers about the benefits of joining JFG at Agri-Expo, has also introduced five agricul-tural kits that are available to all farmers.
By buying the items as a kit rather than individually at retail prices, farmers can make savings in line with the best discounts applied for the JFG.
Examples include a 3.6m universal gate hanging kit including posts and galvanised fittings for 172.35 instead of 252.35 and a 500m rabbit netting kit using machine round Jakcured stakes for 932.21, almost 200 below the retail price of 1,116.60 (all excluding VAT and delivery).

FIND THOUSANDS OFBIG BRAND MACHINES FROM THE REGIONS TOP DEALERS!
Visit our website to buy and sell new and used farm machinery www.farmmachinery.co.uk
The new website for all things farm equip-ment is creating a great deal of interest with dealers and farmers, say the owners of www.farmmachinery.co.uk who also publish the popular Farm Machinery printed title.
www.farmmachinery.co.uk was launched at the end of 2013, with the sole purpose of providing dealers who advertise in the printed edition the ability to update used machinery for sale on a daily basis. Jamie McGrorty, a director at South East Farmer said: The printed version of Farm Machinery has always been hugely popular with our readers. Farmers tell us all the time that they look at the publica-tion as soon as it comes through the letterbox. We are not changing the printed edition in any way, rather the new website is acting as a partner to the printed version.
www.farmmachinery.co.uk offers the ability to search for used farm equipment throughout the month, as well as allowing farmers to sell unwanted items totally free of charge. Farmers selling to other farmers has always been an attractive way for our readers to do business, continues Jamie. Now we have made this even easier. Farmers just create an account on the new website, and then each time they come back to sell something they just enter their username and password and they are ready to sell the next item. We have also created a page for expired listings where account holders can look through their old adverts and ask for the advert to be used again without having to enter the details a second time.
Listings on www.farmmachinery.co.uk are
For all things farm equipment
also free of charge to dealers who have taken an advert in the printed version.
Any dealer who is currently advertising in the printed version and has not yet uploaded machinery to the new site is encouraged to do so. It makes sense, says Jamie. We are not asking for dealers to spend any more money to upload their listings to the new site, because it now comes as part of their package, so it really is free!
Any dealer who wishes to discuss the new website further is invited to call Jamie McGrorty on 01303 233883.
