• Baby Taj    ­ often described as the "jewel box" in the city, the Baby Taj is actually Tomb of I'tim d­ud­Daulah, which is also considered to be the draft of Taj Mahal. This tomb was ābuilt in years between 1622 and 1628 and represents the transition of first phase of Mughal Architecture, whose primary building element was red sandstone and marble decoration, to the second phase that basically consisted white marble and pietra dura inlay. Located at the right bank of Yamuna this mausoleum is one remarkably beautiful structure on the ground.

• Khas Mahal ­ Built on the orders of Shah Jahan in years between 1631­40, the Khas Mahal is one of the matchless beautiful structure in the country. Also known as Aramgah­i­Muqaddar it has beautifully landscaped Anguri Bagh on one side and river on the other. It is beloved that Shah Jahan constructed this structure for his two daughters. Today the place is among the most iconic places in the city, simply amplifying Agra tourism.

• Akbari Mahal ­ It is the other important Mughal era structural building in the city and also one among the top places to visit in Agra. It was built between 1565­69 and was set Bengali Burj and Jehangiri Mahal. Hugely influenced by Mughal art and architecture, the place is a sight to get spell bound. Although the place is not frequently visited by travellers, but it certainly worth visit if you wish to get a peak of the contentment and richness of Mughal era.

• Shah Burj ­ also known as the Octagonal Tower or Musamman Burj, the Shah Burj is believed to be build as the palace for Mumtaz Mahal by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. This is the place where Shah Jahan spent his last days, when he was imprisoned by his son. It is a multi­storied structure built with marble, inlaid with precious stones. It was built between 1631­40 and offers fascinating views of Taj Mahal.

• Buland Darwaza ­ It is a monumental gateway built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. Built in centuries ago, the structure still stands strong symbolizing the power and influence of Akbar. It is a fine example of the age old Islamic architecture which is semi­octagonal in design and has two triple storied wings on both sides.
