Once upon a time, there was a peregrine falcon named Peter.  Peter had creamy and shiny blue feathers and he had a black mask over his face.

Peter lived in the Kingdom Animalia.

Peter’s real name was Falco peregrinus, but everyone called him Peter.  His last name, Peregrinus, meant ‘wanderer’.  He had many cousins, including the Merlin, Gyro, Paul, Kendel, and Chris.

What many animals didn’t know was that Peter was actually a secret agent.  When he was on missions, his code name was Agent P.  He caught criminals because he was the top agent. One of the main reasons he was a top agent was because he could travel virtually anywhere in the world.

One day he was called on a very special mission. He had to catch Syther the Snake.  Syther had stolen the Pink Panther, the prized jewel of Animalia.  Agent P’s mission was to catch Syther and return the Pink Panther to the kingdom.

Agent P left Animalia in search of Syther. Peregrine falcons like Peter love to eat medium-sized birds.  While Agent P was above New York, he got a craving for pigeons.  He flew high above the city in search of the perfect pigeon to eat. When he found it with his raptor vision, he swooped down, picked it up with its sharp beak, and had a tasty snack.

Then he continued his search for Syther.  When he was above Toronto, he finally spotted Syther below him.  Syther slithered away, but Syther cannot escape Agent P’s raptor vision.  Agent P had a black mask of feathers on his face to stop glare and help him see Syther below him, trying to escape.

Syther slithered to the mountains in Canada when Agent P made his move.  Since he can go 200 miles per hour while diving, Syther the Snake had no chance of escape.  He used his blade-like talons and took the Pink Panther from Syther. Syther was sad because he could not escape with the Pink Panther.

After he got the Pink Panther, Agent P returned to Animalia.  Peter returned the Pink Panther to its rightful place at the kingdom.

Then, Peter returned home to his comfy perch on a mountain to his family.
