To approve order authorizing Youmus Syed to be paid a total of $3,856.21 as fulland final settlement by the County of Dallas, Texas for property damage and carrental as a result of an accident that occurred on or about July 11, 2005, andauthorizing the County Treasurer to release said check to an employee of the CivilDivision of the Dallas County Criminal District Attorney's Office.

14. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing Betty J. Scott to be paid $3,102.39 as full and finalsettlement by the County of Dallas, Texas for property damage as a result of anaccident on or about June 14, 2005, and authorizing the County Treasurer torelease said check to an employee of the Civil Division of the Dallas CountyCriminal District Attorney's Office.

To approve order authorizing The City of Richardson, Texas to be paid $1,522.75as full and ·final settlement by the County of Dallas, Texas for property damageas a result of an accident on or about May 16, 2005, and authorizing the CountyTreasurer to release said check to an employee of the Civil Division of the DallasCounty Criminal District Attorney's Office.

To approve order authorizing Zdenka H. Alba and Farmers Insurance Group to bepaid a total of $1,401.79 as full and final settlement by the County of Dallas,Texas for property damage and deductible as a result of an accident on or aboutJune 21, 2005, and authorizing the County Treasurer to release' said check to anemployee of the Civil Division of the Dallas County Criminal District Attorney'sOffice.

To approve order approving the addition of the American Red Cross to conductblood drives in Dallas County and authorizing the weeks of October 10, 2005 andJanuary 16, 2006 for the conducting of blood drives among County employees.

23. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the deletion of one (1) Lance Sergeant position andthe addition of one (1) Clerk II position in the Sheriff's Department, Photo LabDivision, and requesting the Human Resources/Civil Service Department to reviewand classify the position.

24. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving twenty-five (25) new positions to staff the two (2)new Criminal District Courts, authorizing the purchase of equipment, computers,and furniture for court operations, and funding for court costs for a total cost of$2,703,647, and requesting the Human Resources/Civil Service Department toreview and classify the positions.

25. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving a Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) with theDepartment of State Health Services (DSHS) for the Dallas County DrugTreatment Courts to participate in the Access to Recovery (ATR) Program for atwo (2) year period commencing on August 3, 2005, and authorizing the CountyJudge to sign the MOU on behalf of Dallas County.

26. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the acceptance of a Safe and Sober grant, in theamount of $191,725, with a County match of $191,725, from the TexasDepartment of Transportation (TxDOT) to fund patrol activities on designatedstate and federal highways for FY 2006, and authorizing the County Judge tosign the grant acceptance on behalf of Dallas County.


27. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing and establishing a justice court building secudtyfund, with one-fourth of the collected fee deposited into fund 532 account 21428for all misdemeanor offenses in a justice court committed on or after January 1,2006.

28. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing and establishing a county child abuse preventionfund for offenses as listed in the Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 102.0186(a)committed on or after January 1, 2006.

29. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the increase of the existing county and district courtalternative dispute resolution (ADR) fee from $10.00 to $15.00 and establishinga justice court ADR fee in the amount of $5.00 to fund the ADR systems, withan effective date of January 1, 2006.

30. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the increase of the family protection fee from$15.00 to $30.00, with an effective date of January 1, 2006.

To approve order authorizing the purchase of equipment for Novell Stabilization,with funding in the amount of $101, 160 for the project available from MajorTechnology Fund (fund 195) unallocated reserves.

To approve order authorizing the purchase of Enterprise back-up software andequipment, with funding in the amount of $214,387 for the project available fromMajor Technology Fund (fund 195) unallocated reserves.

To approve order approving the award of FY 2005-2006 Ryan White C.A.R.E.Act Title I grant funds in the amount of $80,000 to Dallas County HospitalDistrict d/b/a Parkland Health and Hospital System, and authorizing the CountyJudge to sign the contract amendment with the service provider on behalf ofDallas County.

To approve order authorizing the County Treasurer to release payroll for TexasDepartment of State Health Services (DSHS) Document No. 756000905605-12,TS-Prevention and Control, for the months of September, October, andNovember, 2005.

35. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the County Auditor and County Treasurer to releasepayroll to employees assigned to the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission(TJPC), Office of the Governor - Criminal Justice Division (CJD), Office ofJuvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention, and Community Council of GreaterDallas grants pending return of fully executed contract documents.

To approve order extending current contract (Sid No. 2003-141-1394 - AnnualContract for the Purchase of Work Uniforms) with Unifirst Corporation for anadditional twelve (12) month period, effective September 24, 2005 throughSeptember 23, 2006, at an estimated contract value of $40,000.00.

37. COURT ORDER:

To approve order terminating current contract (Sid No. 2004-091-1514 - OneTime Purchase of Tandem Haul Truck) with Metro Sterling Truck Sales for nonperformance, and disqualifying this vendor from submitting bids on Countyprojects for a period of thirteen (13) months, effective August 16, 2005 throughSeptember 15, 2006.

To approve order extending current c,ontract (Bid No. 2004-126-1552 - AnnualContract for Armored Car Pick-up Services) with Loomis Fargo & Company for anadditional twelve (12) month .period, effective October 1, 2005 throughSeptember 30, 2006, at an estimated contract value of $332,038.00.

To approve order authorizing the award of Section II of Bid No. 2005-141-1 727(Annual Contract for Maintenance of Microfilm Equipment) to Business EquipmentSolutions, LLC for the period from August 9, 2005 through August 8, 2006 atan estimated annual cost of $21,665.00.
