Introduction

The following step-by-step instructions will guide you through the process of creating and submitting a

Manufactured Home or Commercial quote and an application using TWIA’s eQuote program. For help

with Residential quotes and applications please refer to the Policy Center training located here.

TWIA eQuote

To begin a new quote, select “New” under the quote tab

Note: Quotes are saved in the system and can be found by selecting either of the “Existing” options.

Occupancy Type

Select the occupancy type of quote desired.

For this example “Commercial Quote” will be used.

Initial Info

Enter the description, the proposed effective date and the previous TWIA policy or reference number (if

applicable). The effective date must be a today’s date or up to 90 days in the future.

Note: The description is your unique identifier, which will be used by you to locate and recall this quote

Risk Items

Select the item type you wish to quote, and then click the “Add item(s)” button. After completing the

entry for the first item, you can repeat this step for any additional items to be quoted.

General Information

Enter the necessary information for the item to be quoted.

Replacement Cost must match the amount derived from the MSB calculation.

Contents coverage can be added to each risk item.

Contents Information

Enter the contents information for the risk item.

Risk Items completed

Once all the risk items have been added click “Return to Summary” to rate the quote.

Note: The green arrow and indentation indicate that the contents are associated with the risk item listed

above. You can click on either hyperlink to edit the item.

Quote Summary

Click “Rate” to complete the quote. The system will let you know it was successfully rated and display

the Premium amount. To print the quote after it’s been successfully rated, click “Print”.

Convert to Application

If the insured desires to apply for TWIA coverage; click the “Convert to Application” button to begin the

application process.

Application

This section will guide you through the application process of the eQuote system. For this example we

will show you a quote that has been converted to an application.

Application Summary

Enter the telephone number and the agency contact person for this application, then click “Next” to

proceed to the Insured page.

Note: The Customer Tracking # is for your internal use only and will not print on an issued policy.

Insured Information

Enter the primary named insured first. Be sure to identify the primary insured by clicking the check-box

under the First name field.

Multiple insureds can be added using the “Next Insured” button.

Payee Information

Complete this section if a Mortgage or Loss Payee is desired. Multiple payees can be added using the

“Next Payee” button.

Premium Financier

Complete this section if the policy premium is financed. Payment by a mortgage company is NOT

considered financed.

Location

Enter the information for each location.

If the property inside city limits, check the “Inside City Limits” box.

Enter the address in the “Rural Location” field only if there is not a complete street address.

An additional location may be added by either of the following options:

1) Click the “Next Location” button. Enter the information in the blank fields and click the “Next”

button to proceed to the Risk Items page or;

2) To duplicate an existing record without re-entering all the information, click on the “Copy” icon.

When using the “Copy” option, to edit the location information, you may access the new record by

clicking on the underlined location in the list.

Risk Item Table

This page shows a list of the risk items, you can continue. Additional information will be required for

risk items to complete the application. Click on the underlined description to edit and enter the

additional information. You must repeat for each separate item before the application can be rated.

Risk Item Detailed Information

Enter any additional information needed for the risk item. You must select a location from the pull-

down menu. Complete the Repair and Additions sections ONLY if repairs/additions have been made on

the home.

Application Summary – Rate

Click “Rate” to validate the application. The system will let you know it was successfully rated and

display the Premium amount.

If the application is rated successfully and no more changes need to be made you have two options to

submit the application depending on the payment method.

1) If paying via EFT click “Submit Electronic Payment.”

2) All other forms of payment should use the “Print” option.

Note: You must be enrolled for EFT payments to use the Submit Electronic Payment feature. EFT

payments are currently not available for Manufactured Home and Builder Risk applications.

Additionally, there must be sufficient collected and available funds in your agency’s bank account to

cover the full premium.

Note: The Next button allows you to go back and edit the application.

Submit Electronic Payment (EFT)

Press ‘OK’ to agree to the electronic signature statement.

You will then see the EFT Payment Confirmation screen.

Your application is now submitted you should receive a confirmation email with a copy of the

application. Save a copy of the application for your records and distribute a copy to the insured.

Print Application

Click “Print Application” and a copy of the application will be emailed to you. Submit the application

along with any necessary documents to TWIA. Save a copy of the application for your records and

distribute a copy to the insured.

eQuote Policy Changes

The Online Policy Change Request allows you to submit multiple requests per policy. This guide is for

eQuote policies only. For help with changes to policies within Policy Center, go the training located

here.

To submit an online policy change, follow these steps:

1. Click on “Change” under the “Policy” tab in Agent Portal.

2. On the Policy Search web page, enter the eight-digit TWIA Policy Number to be endorsed,

updated or cancelled and click on "Search".

3. The Policy Search results will display the policy number and its information matching the search

if the following criteria is met:

a. The policy number is associated with your agency.

b. The policy number is one of the following statuses:

Cancelled

Cancelled Binder

Issued

Pending

Rejected Application

Renewal

Under Binder (Returned Application)

Note: If your policy number is not in one of these statuses, then please submit your changes for these

policies via fax, email or paper mail.

4. If the policy requested is displayed, click on "Change."

a. If the search results in an unexpected finding, re-enter the policy number and click on

"Search" to try again. We suggest verifying the eight digit policy number with an official

letter or document issued by TWIA.

5. On the Policy Change Request web page, enter and verify the following, then click on "Submit"

a. "Effective Date" - Pre-filled - The date the change is effective. The date entered must

fall within the policy term. Defaults to current date but may be overridden.

b. "Agency Use" - Optional - An optional field typically used as a unique identifier for your

agency's internal records.

c. "Submitter Email Address" - Pre-filled - Email address of the agency (or person) making

the request. Defaults to your E-Quote login email address but may be overridden.

d. "Submitter Telephone No" - Optional - Telephone number of the agency (or person)

making the request. Field is optional. If entered, the valid format is a ten (10) digit

telephone number, including area code. For example, enter 5128994900 or (512) 899-

4900.

e. "Policy Request Type" - Required - Select the type from the dropdown most applicable

to your request. Selection is required to submit.

1) Binder Response

i.e. Response to a TWIA binder letter

2) Name Change

i.e. Updating the named insured, adding or deleting name insured, updating

insured's mailing address, etc.

3) Mortgage Change

i.e. Updating the mortgagee or loss payee, adding or deleting a mortgagee or

loss payee, updating mailing addresses, loan numbers, etc.

4) Property Location Change

i.e. Updating the property's physical address due to 9-1-1, Emergency Services,

adding or deleting a new location, etc.

5) Coverage Change

i.e. Increasing or decreasing insurance amounts, changing occupancy to

secondary, adding or deleting listed items on the policy, etc.

6) Miscellaneous

i.e. Submitting MSB reports, photos, diagrams, etc.

7) Inspection

i.e. Submitting inspection photos and/or statement of repairs

8) Cancellation

i.e. Lost Policy Voucher (TWIA Form 113)

f. "Link Attachments Here" – Optional - Provides the agent the optional ability to include

PDF documents to be submitted along with the request. You can attach multiple files

however the size of the combined files is limited to 30MB.

g. "Policy Change Request" - Optional - free form description of the change or policy

updates. An optional "free form" field provides the ability to enter and save up to 1000

characters. This information should be in regards to the change and should not be used

as a method to email underwriting.

6. Once the Change has been successfully submitted, you will receive an email acknowledging the

receipt of you online submission. The email will not include details of the online request for

your records. Please do not submit duplicate requests online or by other methods, such as fax,

email or paper mail, unless directed to do so by TWIA personnel. Processing of your request will

be handled in the received order, along with all other correspondence. Please be patient as

duplicating the request, or phone calls to our office notifying us of your submitted request, will

only delay processing.

eQuote errors

If a field is required and/or not completed correctly an error message will appear. The error will need to

be corrected before proceeding. In most instances you will need to click the “Rate” button for the error

message to disappear.
