BACKGROUND

Driven by the rapid spreading of the Covid-19 – CORONAVIRUS epidemic, the need for suitable infrastructure to treat 2019-nCoV patients whilst ensuring the safety of the current hospitals patients and healthcare workers is paramount.

With thousands of patients and only a very limited number of suitable biosafe hospital rooms in each country, a rapid, mass conversion of rooms is needed.

The “AGEMA” Fast Track conversion kit can turn any room into a Covid-19 patient-ready bedroom. STEP 1

Cut to shape & apply film/tape on any area where gaps are larger than 1mm

STEP 2

Apply coating on all areas covered with film/tape as well as surfaces which are likely to cause an air leakage.

STEP 3

Inflate change room

STEP 4

Deploy skirt and fit to door frame wall (cut perimeter to shape if necessary & to adapt to installed equipment such as fire alarms, light switches). DO NOT make holes. A light switch can be activated through the skirt if necessary.

STEP 5

Tape skirt to wall and floor.

STEP 6

Place threshold on floor at door opening & place clamping bar at the top of the door frame.

STEP 7

After deciding which side to connect to, insert bin evacuation ducts into reservation after having carefully cut a hole inside. Tape the extremity of the reservation to the duct and place mechanical clamp to hold the bin evacuation duct.

STEP 8

After deciding which side to connect to, insert ventilation plenum duct into reser-vation after having carefully cut a hole in-side. Tape the extremity of the reservation to the duct and place mechanical clamp to hold the plenum duct. Plug pressure tubing of the same colours together.

STEP 9

Connect duct between plenum and Mobile Fan Unit (MFU), use mechanical clamps to secure the ducting. Plug pressure tubing of the same colours together.

STEP 10

Plug in ventilation unit and turn on with zip doors open.

STEP 11

After 60 minutes, check coating surface. If dry, close the zip doors and control fan speed to ensure the pressures noted on the Magnehelic© gauges are in the green.

STEP 12

The room is ready to use.
