American School, I foundthat they were many! The particula r one that I thought to be ratherimportant was the lack of singing. This can hardly be called a schoolsubject but it might mean more funfo r th e student. I have noticed thatin this High School there is no singin g done except when preparing fora great occasion like Christmas orsomething like it .

I f yo u have ever been in a schoolin th t United States, yo u must knowthat th e k ' enestjoy in school is de. rived from learning and singing al lth e well-known high school andcollege songs.. These .songs ar e remiders, after

have graduated from school;they bring back many memo des ofyourtime spent there. lknowthat in this particular High School

we have little time for th e differentsubjects and much less for singing.

But couldn't something be done? Ithink that if the program were to. be revised and a minute or two ta.ken fr Jm each period, we could a tieast get te n minutes for singing.

Of course, te n minutes is not verymuch time., but, I am sure th at weal l want some singing however little it may be.
