BORN SINNER They say the devil was once an angel. What makes me any different? Born innocent, born cleansed. What makes me any different?
His cold, rough demeanour, Topped off with a golden halo, His crown. His heart is stone, no? I am almost certain
That if you were to search Lucifer’s abyss, You’d eventually stumble upon confirmation That he was once an angle.
What makes me any different? My actions blur the lines Of sin and good will. The ones I claim to love Are the ones who feel my hate?
From one’s perspective, I am angelic. From another, I am Satan.
Are we all not born pure? Predisposed to the broken humanity, We are all born sinners.
