REVIVAL IS COMING – OCTOBER 21-24 I have been working a great deal on our upcoming Winning For Christ Crusade. The more I
work, pray and plan the more excited I get about this coming revival effort. The dates are Oc-
tober 21-24. Please make every effort to attend all five of these services. Sunday morning Bible
study is at 9:00 followed by worship at 10:30. All evening services (Sunday-Wednesday) will
begin at 7:00.
Steve Hale will be communicating the truth of God’s word in a powerful and direct way. We
need to be revived and refreshed. Additionally, you have friends, family, neighbors, co-workers
and classmates that need to know Jesus as Savior of their lives. They will only have that oppor-
tunity as you invite them to come with you to these revival services.
Sunday morning’s theme is “Bring a Friend to Church Day.” Sunday evening is “Family
Night.” Bring all of your family members and sit together as we worship and listen to God
speaking through Bro. Steve. Monday is “Neighbor Night.” Bring as many of your neighbors as
you can. Perhaps you can have a simple dinner prepared for them in your home then come to
revival together. Tuesday is “Kid’s Night.” All kids 1st through 5th grades are invited to a free
hot dog supper at 6:00 then the revival worship will begin at 7:00. The revival will conclude on
Wednesday with “Youth Night.” At 6:00 all youth, grades 6 through 12, will stuff themselves
with pizza. All of those teen-agers will be sitting together in the worship center for the revival
that night.
You cannot miss this. Georgetown has not had a concerted revival effort in many years. Many
of you have said, “Pastor, we need to have a revival.” You are right…we need revival. I believe
God will work through these services to impact our church and Pottsboro for His glory. But
our faithfulness to attend and commitment to bring others will be critical for the Holy Spirit to
work. Do your part!
F3 – OCTOBER 28 – 4:00-7:00pm Another outreach opportunity in October is F3. This is one of the biggest events we do each
year. Its purpose is to get as many people on our campus as possible to express the love of
Christ. To make it happen will require many volunteers. Be sure to sign up in the foyer or call
Tracy in the church office. If you can do nothing else, at least come and smile and show God’s
love to all who come.
CHRISTMAS @ GEORGETOWN The Thanksgiving and Christmas season is going to be a special time. Be sure to read Chris’
information in this newsletter about a unique Christmas gift to our community. It will be an
amazing opportunity to introduce people to the real reason for the season—Jesus!
BLESSED! I love Georgetown Baptist Church and Pottsboro. What an indescribable honor and privilege it
is to serve in this place. Other than heaven, there is no place I would rather be!

To: Staff, members, friends: Just a short note to say
“Thank You” for all the
prayers, (and I felt the es-sence of them), plus the calls,
cards and I loved the notes
inside! The food was greatly appreciated. I have such an
awesome church family.
Love & hugs, JoAnn Hilliard
Please convey our sincere
thanks to all the church mem-bers who helped with the
services and luncheon for the
funeral of our loved one and your neighbor, Charles Richard Allen.
We are very grateful. God Bless you
all. The Family of “Dick Allen”
Thank you so much for all ya’ll did for Asiah, Aspyn, Leon and the
Hayes family too. We will never be
able to express how much Pastor Bobby meant to us being here with us
for this difficult time. Thanks for the
food too. Love,
Asiah & Aspyn Derebery
& Becky Hayes
We want to thank everyone who prepared and served the wonderful
lunch after the services of our
