2018 Key Achievements (1 of 5)

• Continued work with the Automotive Council UKActive member of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle team supported the development of the Enabling Environments roadmap launched at LCV Cenex, Millbrook Sept’ 2018

• Alan Banks appointed as Power Electronics lead at Automotive Council UKSupported submission of the PEMD Stephenson Challenge along with colleagues from the APC

• Members supported development of the Automotive Council UK’s Cyber Security workstream and now leading this initiative on behalf of the Automotive Council

• Engaged with Senior members of the Automotive Council UK in laying out the foundation for a potential UK Sector deal for Automotive Electronics

• Continued to engage in Government discussions on Autonomous and Connected Vehicles representing the AESIN community

• Key meetings including Jesse Norman MP at launch of the Government’s call for Evidence Paper on Future of Mobility. Continue to explore project funding opportunities for AESIN members by ensuring understanding and involvement in CAV funding calls

• Alan Banks is member of the IDP15 working Group and the Government’s Workshop on Safety & Security

• Formal MOU between Meridian Mobility and AESIN announced by Daniel Ruiz, Meridian CEO at AESIN Annual Conference Oct 2018. AESIN now a recognised partner for Electronics in the Future of Mobility Space

• Supported Robert Evans and his team from Cenex to add a new dimension to LCV 2018 focussing on the importance of Automotive Electronics in future vehicle development

• Worked with Meridian and BSI to develop a PAS for Functional safety for the next generation of vehicles and held 2 workshops

• Members continue to be active in the £5M UK - CITE program led by Claire Lewis from Visteon and have achieved a significant milestone this year with the live vehicle trials now in place

• Published the UK Automotive Electronics Capability report commissioned by Innovate UK
