perfect location for the most diverse and ambitious

The facilities of AED Studios are characterized by

their functionality. Spacious and modern, no pro-

duction is too large. The studios houses projects

both short and long-term. Efforts are made to

ensure professionals and visitors a pleasant stay.

The 10 black box sound stages at AED Studios vary

from 45m² (484ft²) to 3.000m² (32.292ft²) and

are well-equipped to house your professional pro-

duction:

AccomodationsAED Studios features 42 guest rooms and 17

apartments equipped with all the necessary

comforts. These cozy rooms are quiet and

provide immediate access to the facilities and

studios. Catering is available upon request for

groups or individuals.

While filming a commercial or feature film, AED Studios’

facilities are fully equipped to support your production.

The attractively decorated backstage areas are close

to the stage, a cozy seating area with internet access

and live studio feed make it a great place to relax,

enjoy a drink, or read your script. Each production

has individual access to the area to maintain privacy

and security. The AED Studios staff ensures that

your team experiences a pleasant stay.

There are 5 backstage areas with immediate access

to the stages, including:

Perhaps the most notable example of AED Studios’ mul-

ti-functionality are the on-site restaurants and catering.

The kitchen offers varied cuisine to both VIP’s and crew.

An experienced chef and catering team go to work every

day with fresh products with culinary love. While dining,

enjoy the warm interior and large outdoor terraces over-

looking the green surroundings. All kinds of catering ser-

vices are available in the studios and backstage areas.

OfficesAED Studios is home to 4.000m² (43.000ft²) of fixed

office space. The complex offers a large number of

spaces from 20m² (215ft²) to 500m² (5.380ft²) per

floor. There are currently more than twenty supliers for

film and tv productions on-site.

incentives in the world. The Belgian tax-shelter

can save a production more than 40% in local

spend. In addition to competitive pricing, expe-

rienced crews and state-of-the-art infrastruc-

ture, producers have all the resources needed

to fulfill their vision.

Screen Flanders Economic Fund

The Belgian Tax Shelter is a government-approved effi-

cient and transparent tax incentive designed to encou-

rage the production of audiovisual works in Belgium.

The system is open to Belgian productions as well as

qualifying international (mainly European) co-produc-

tions with Belgium.

Belgian Tax Shelter

The Screen Flanders Economic Fund offers support

to audiovisual productions and co-productions that

spend all or part of their budget within the Flanders

region. Screen Flanders’ annual budget of €4.5 mil-

lion is provided by Agentschap Innoveren & Onder-

nemen (Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship).

The Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) promotes the

Fund and manages the applications in close co-ope-

ration with Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

As an economic support to cover their audiovisual

expenses in Flanders, Belgian producers can apply to

receive up to €400,000 of refundable advances.

It is a win-win-win situation for the three parties

involved: the producer is offered a very attractive way

to finance projects; the investor obtains tax exemp-

tion through a virtually risk-free investment; and

the Belgian state benefits from increased economic

activity and spend.
